NorthPoint Astrology Journal Your weekly guide to planetary influences May 25 to 31, 2020 by Pam Younghans   Aspects of Note This Week   All times listed are Pacific Daylight Time. For Greenwich Mean Time, add 7 hours.    MON: Mercury conjunct Vesta, Mars semisquare Eris TUE: Uranus sextile Ceres, Mercury quincunx Jupiter WED: Mars semisquare Pluto, Mercury conjunct North Node THU: Mercury enters Cancer FRI: Sun sextile Chiron, Venus sesquiquadrate Saturn, Sun square Ceres, Mercury quincunx Saturn SAT: Sun sesquiquadrate Pluto, Mars semisquare Jupiter  LIFE CIRCUMSTANCES – for many or perhaps for most of us – are very uncertain right now. The combined forces of Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto as they've aligned in Capricorn have affected more levels of our shared experience than we could have imagined, prior to the start of 2020.   Pluto's dismantling of outworn systems continues to drill far deeper than the sociopolitical realms. Strengthened by Saturn and amplified by Jupiter, Pluto is touching nearly every aspect of what we have relied on to create a sense of order in our lives. As a result, it is an ongoing balancing act, as we shift our weight and try to find stable footing while the foundation beneath us goes through this process of transfiguration.   We've all known for a long time that deep changes are needed in how human beings cohabit and in how we inhabit planet Earth – we just didn't consider, perhaps, how our small corner of the world, our personal lives, would be transformed along the way.   IT IS UP TO each of us, as we navigate so much disorder in the world around us, to create internal coherence. That work is essential, but of course also challenging when the chaos is at times as much within as without. Our emotional and mental states these days tend to be in as much flux as the world situation.   One of the first steps in creating internal order is making a commitment to a new way of thinking. This week, we have help in this regard from the planet Mercury, which rules our mental processes. Mercury is exactly conjunct (aligned with) the asteroid Vesta on Monday, and then conjoins the North Node in Gemini on Wednesday.   Vesta is not the largest, but she is the brightest object in the belt of asteroids that is located between Mars and Jupiter. As Keeper of the Sacred Flame, Vesta represents our capacity for devotion and commitment. Her alignment with Mercury in Gemini early this week improves our ability to concentrate and to direct our thoughts. And, since Vesta has a natural proclivity for spiritual work, we can more readily engage our minds as a helpful participant in our enlightenment, rather than seeing them only as a hindrance.   THE NORTH NODE is a marker for our collective "next step" in evolutionary growth. Having just entered Gemini a few weeks ago, the North Node is just beginning to bring forward the new themes that will be with us for the next 18 months.   As Mercury aligns with the North Node this week, there is an emphasis on many of these themes: on moving from judgment to acceptance, from fanaticism to rationality, from self-righteousness to tolerance, and from being thought-less to being thought-full.    This is an important week for us to ask questions and to listen objectively to the answers we receive. It is important to have a "beginner's mind," to be curious instead of judgmental. And yet, the inclusion of Vesta in the mix reminds us to hold all "truths" up to the light of our spiritual perspective. This step will help us know whether the information we receive will enhance our own growth into love and light, and or if we've simply been handed a letter that isn't addressed to us.   THERE IS TENSION – no surprise – in the coming days, manifesting through various hard aspects occurring throughout the week. Most significant is that the planet Mars is at the midpoint (halfway between) two dwarf planets, Pluto and Eris. Since Pluto and Eris are currently square each other (exact to the degree on June 14), that means Mars is semisquare both of them.   Squares and semisquares are aspects of conflict, and all three planetary objects involved in this particular brawl are known to be confrontational. It's not hard to imagine how anger and feeling victimized (Mars in Pisces), feelings of not being seen or respected (Eris in Aries), and issues of power and control (Pluto in Capricorn) might emerge over the coming days. These energies are strongest in the first half of the week.   OTHER ASPECTS this week are all "minor" aspects, but represent the ongoing shifting circumstances and unsettling energies. Here's a quick list of the ones I haven't yet touched on: Tuesday – Mercury quincunx Jupiter: Information overwhelm, communications coming from many sources, mental confusion, uncertainty of what to believe Friday – Venus sesquiquadrate Saturn, Mercury quincunx Saturn: Facing relationship and financial realities, difficulties in thinking or communicating clearly, a tendency to pessimistic thinking Saturday – Sun sesquiquadrate Pluto, Mars semisquare Jupiter: Deep changes challenge us to think in new ways and to rise above the feeling that nothing we can do individually can make a difference Keep in mind, too, that we've just entered eclipse season, and that the second Pluto-Jupiter alignment is only a few weeks away (on June 29). We are reaching the midstream point in our crossing of this turbulent river of 2020, so it is vital that we continue to do our inner work of emotional balancing.   THE MORE WE consciously become the frequency we most want to see manifest on this physical plane, the more we will be contributing to the solutions instead of being stuck in old paradigms – the former "reality" that is rapidly disintegrating. This means not just believing that love is the answer. It means BEING the love that is the answer, in every area of our lives, as much as we possibly can.   A tall order for these human personalities. But we signed up for these times because we were very sure we would, finally, succeed.   Just remember that this is a lot of work – divine work, yes, but work nonetheless. Be gentle with yourself. These are exceedingly stressful times, and the energies reaching the planet are pushing us to evolve at a very quick pace. Rest, rest, rest. The outcome of this process is greater self-confidence and a clearer sense of direction. You will be dealing with some inner resistance along the way – a fear that you might not have the energy or courage required, or that you must sacrifice your own needs along the way. The key in this regard is to hold yourself in the highest of esteem, so that any actions or decisions are based in true self-love. In this way, your expression in the world is a natural extension of the compassion you hold for yourself, instead of replacing self-care with caring for others. A Message to Lightworkers – August 3, 2018

The latest guidance from the Ascended Masters, Galactics, Earth Elementals, Faery Elders, Angels, and Archangels known as the Collective:

Greetings, friends! We are very pleased to have this time to speak with you again.


We are aware that these are taxing times, in which you are feeling the intensity of old emotion—past experiences that have brought realizations, beliefs, and paths of learning that have been painfully steep and difficult.


At times these paths have been so demanding—beyond what you believed you were able to process or integrate at the time—that your mind or body rejected the experience, seeking to step out of the moment and to retreat into the purely etheric, or into nothingness.


We understand your hesitancy to relive these painful and often numbing moments of Earth life. Those of us who have experienced Earth lives know them well, and are aware of their intensity.

Yet no one Ascends from the third dimension without facing that darkness, that shadow that seems to follow one from one Earth life to another, dogging efforts and intentions, and dimming even the most joyful of beliefs, thoughts, and emotions.


Yet in part, you came here to live in the shadows.


“And why on Earth would I want to experience in-depth pain and trauma, as well as my own shadow aspect—the thoughts and feelings I would prefer to admit to no one, including myself—when I could have incarnated into some life where the Light would never leave me?” you may wonder.


“At least in that environment, I could have spread my Love and higher Light in ways that would have helped other people, and Earth’s overall vibration!”


And we would say, it is understandable that you would feel this way. It is a logical notion, but not entirely relevant.


For if you had not experienced the darkness firsthand, you would not be present in it, and being present in it is a crucial part of your Earth mission—not only your own Ascension path, but your greater soul mission, in which you contribute to Earth’s and humankind’s evolvement.


You needed to know the depths of what the shadow world was on the Earth, so that you could anchor Light in it, in ways not have been possible for those of us who live above and beyond it vibrationally.
Yes, we see the shadow realm, and we face it often.


Yet we do not engage in it with the immediacy and physicality that all of you engage in it.


Were we to do so—not sporadically, but on a daily basis—we would be violating the free will agreement with which we must respect human life and all Earth life.

And so we stand back to a degree, active to the extent that you call us forth to actively engage energetically through you and through Earth’s vibration, without violating your right to live out your Earth time free of unasked for interference.


There is no one to do the work you do, in fact, but you yourselves.


This is the miracle of Earth life, and yes, the conundrum of it.


For all of you are made of such empowering and beautiful Light that you cannot for the life of you imagine why people enact upon one another the words and behaviors of cruelty, rage, or even some days, simple impatience and lack of compassion.


None of that makes sense to you who come from higher vibrational civilizations and realms.
Not on the level of one-to-one conversation, let alone whole armies and nations facing one another with terrible forms of destruction.


And yet—here you are, singing out your one beautiful tone every moment of your lives, as you do in the higher realms whenever you wish to create, to lift to a higher vibration, to renew and reinvent.


And if you do not yet hear that beautiful note—if your inner ear has not yet found a way to cut through that fog of density you volunteered to come into, answering Earth’s call for relief—we assure you, it is there nonetheless.


It is there, and it is breaking through thousands of years of violence, chaos, disruption, and the madness Earth has been known for throughout this Universe.


With your Love of humanity, your Love of Life itself, and your desire to grow in ways otherwise unavailable to you, you have come forth at this crucial time to say, “I Am here, and I Am Love itself, as are all of you, and I will not abandon you, dear ones, even when you abandon yourselves.”


There is the miracle—the mother’s Love, the Light in the middle of the cold and empty night, the voice calling your name to bring you back to the safe shore you have sought your entire life.


It comes from your own soul, and from the voices of the billions of Angelic Beings now surrounding your Earth, calling Her up into an existence She could never have created all on Her own.


And does She thank you, and bow (in her Soul form) to your beauty, your bravery, your brilliance?
Of course! As do all of us, who are in awe of your mastery, and your unending compassion for a place you need never have troubled yourself with.

And so, though the days are hard at some moments, we ask that you treat yourself with the kindness you would reserve for the most vulnerable child or animal who has been entrusted to your care.


All your tired and transforming, transcending Self is asking from you is the same Love and patience you have begged Earth life to take on since you were born.


And yes, you are able, dear ones, to give yourselves that.


Whether through more rest, more quiet time, more pure water to drink, more inspiring music or time spent in meditation, or with supportive fellow Light Warriors—you will find that which will sustain you, even now.


And so we bow to you, in these days coming up to the stargate that is the 8-08 Lion’s Gate, and we bid you to step through, to view your next energetic form, for it is full of the kind of Light that human beings once only dreamt of.

Moon in Pisces

Sun: 10 Libra - "a canoe approaching safety through dangerous waters"

• True Alignments:  maintaining one's course, inner fortitude, coming through a difficult time to the other side, navigating life challenges or emotional challenges
• Catalysts for Change:  risky or taking unnecessary risks, giving up, treachery, emotional "storms," stress (spend time outdoors to mitigate), false interpretation

Earth: 10 Aries - "a teacher gives new symbolic forms to traditional images"

• True Alignments:  applying one's individuality or uniqueness, unafraid to share (especially something "new"), meditation, stepping out of the past, looking at something a different way, revisions, expanded awareness
• Catalysts for Change:  antiquated, close-minded and missing a sign, ageism or issues with aging, manipulating minds

When the Sun reaches 10 Libra, "a canoe approaching safety through dangerous waters," as it is today, we are well-advised to be cautious.  The energetic can be challenging to navigate.  Decisions tend to have long-lasting or even unanticipated consequences.

The keyword in the symbol is "approaching."  The canoe is approaching safety, but not there yet.  It is still in "dangerous waters."  The symbol does tell us that calm is ahead, and it is important to remember this as we go through the day.  It is important to TRUST this.

Trust is the key today, and it will save us a lot of wasted energy (worry) if we engage it as our "go to."  We are in the Gibbous Moon phase of the second of two lunar months that are like month-long Gibbous Moon phases, so the Gibbous theme of trusting is in super-force.

The energetic that the Earth is discharging, "a teacher gives new symbolic forms to traditional images" tells us to use our personal discernment to avoid getting "talked into" something or "told" what is true.  We want to be cautious of not following anything that could potentially be (mass) mind controlling.  A good way to do this is to check multiple sources, not just one or not just the "voice of authority" (which may be the voice of tyranny).  Use your own mind to think and analyze.  Revisions are good under this energetic, but only if they have honesty and integrity at their core, so keep a high heart and mind.

What we think and feel has great influence today, so we want to attend to Wisdom and Will and maintain our course.  This month has us seizing our willpower, and today that may face challenges.  All we need to do is persevere.  We are skilled at this, as we have been practicing it all our lives.  We are strong, and we need to remember it.  Keep your head.  Let's trust in the aeons Sophia and Thelete's abilities to implement solutions.  Take a deeper look and see a bit longer-term.  Look for magical happenings underway to revise life conditions (the second keyword for Gibbous phase is "magic").

As we navigate the day, let's remember that all waters lead to liberty, even (especially) the "dangerous waters."
