THE MOON
still appears mostly full as we begin this new week. But with
yesterday's lunation behind us, we have entered the waning half of the
lunar cycle, a two-week period when we are meant to reflect on recent
events and glean what
learnings may be possible.
.
The
Sun has been traveling in ever-closer proximity to Wounded Healer
Chiron since the Equinox. Over the past two weeks, the Sun has been
highlighting the wounds represented by Chiron in Aries, which can
manifest as irrational anger and even violence. The wound beneath the
anger may have many central causes, but with Chiron in Aries, the fear
of loss of identity is often at the
root. Extreme actions then become the way that a damaged psyche
proclaims its existence and demands that its needs be met.
.
YESTERDAY'S FULL MOON
was tightly opposing Chiron, shining even more light on that Aries
wound and its emotional impact. The Sun and Chiron will finally exactly
conjoin early Monday morning (March 29, 1:08 a.m. PDT). After that
rendezvous, the two
planetary objects will gradually separate, but they will still be
interacting – and continuing to expose that wound – for the next week or so.
.
In
a similar vein, we should also keep watch on the Jupiter-Eris sextile
that perfects next Sunday. Although a sextile is a harmonious aspect,
Eris is the goddess of Discord, and an aspect to Jupiter could magnify
contentious feelings as well as the need to act on them. But, there is a
positive side to this Jupiter-Eris aspect. Used consciously, it can
help us have the courage to take a stand,
especially in support of those who have been ignored or mistreated by
society.
.
DAY BY DAY, here are the primary planetary aspects for the week ahead and my brief interpretations of their influence:
.
Monday
Sun conjunct Chiron: (see above)
Mercury conjunct Neptune: A
joining of the mind and the spirit. Imaginative thinking, benefiting
meditation and creative writing. In general, the ability to perceive all
through eyes of compassion.
.
Tuesday
Venus sextile Saturn: Supports our handling relationship and financial issues with greater responsibility and discipline.
.
Wednesday
Mercury semisquare Uranus: Surprising
communications or disruptions in our expected routines, resulting in a
change of plans that opens us up to new directions and insights.
Sun sextile Saturn: In
contrast to the changeable Mercury-Uranus aspect today, this sextile
helps us take things one step at a time, so that we are sure to take
care of all practical matters that may arise.
.
Thursday
Mercury semisquare Saturn: A reality check on the ideas recently received – are they worth pursuing further? Do they represent realistic possibilities, or are they just pipe dreams?
Mercury sextile Pluto: The ability to pour ourselves into an inspired idea, to use our imagination for concrete purposes.
Saturday
Venus conjunct Ceres: A heart-opening, feeling love for family, a desire nurture and support others.
Mercury enters Aries: Moving
from the dream (Pisces) to taking action. Increased spontaneity, but
also less tact in our communications. Expressing our desires rather than
keeping them in.
.
Sunday
Jupiter sextile Eris: (see above)
.
IF YOUR BIRTHDAY IS THIS WEEK: Relationships
are highlighted in your life this
year, perhaps especially your connections with family members or others
who awaken your nurturing instinct. At the same time, you will be
addressing your own wounds and fears that could keep you from accepting
support from others, or even taking care of yourself in healthy ways. As
you learn to care for – instead of judging or repressing – the fearful child within you, it will be easier to make progress in many areas of your life. (Solar Return Sun conjunct Venus, conjunct Ceres, conjunct Chiron, sextile Saturn)

In Gratitude and Light,
