Among whom the gods bless, high on the list are the music people, who tune into celestial vibe-brations and give mortals a taste of immortal sensations. Ruby
April's new Moon falls on April 18 in the United States and April 19 in Australia. This is a very interesting new Moon and it feels like a breath of fresh air. It has it's pitfalls - they always do - but, it feels like an opportunity to really tune into life, love, the universe. We have Pluto and Mars in a trine aspect, giving us the ability to make changes, to get going with things, to exert our will, and, at the same time we have Neptune and Venus in square aspect, so we have to be very clear about our objectives and what we are and aren't prepared to do. Being aware of our limitations and boundaries can see us achieving a great deal with this new Moon, particularly with those things that are attached to our dreams as Neptune and Mercury are sextile to each other.
The new Moon each month marks a time of new beginnings and
realisations. It's like a birth after a time of gestation or being 'in
the womb'. Here, the light begins to return and we can see new
beginnings and possibilities. A new Moon means that the Sun and the Moon
are both together - bringing a synergy of their energies together.
The new Moon is a perfect time to set your intentions for the future. This period is wonderful for planting seeds of whatever kind. What do you want to manifest in your future? Whether you write it down, sing about it or just hold the thought forms in your mind, doing this at the new Moon can realise some fabulous results around the things that you want to draw into your life. The new Moon holds the seeds of the future - it's a great time to get focused on where you want to be heading. With the Sabian Symbol for this new Moon, it is a fabulous time to get those affirmations going and to send out those requests so they can be received in the great big hologram we seem to be living in :)
The New Moon is on Aries 29: THE MUSIC OF THE SPHERES - the following is from my book The Sabian Oracle: 360 Degrees Of Wisdom.
'The Music of the Spheres' is a beautiful image of music and harmony. It implies harmonies in sounds of all kinds. In this Symbol, the words 'The Spheres' refer to the planets in our solar system. The scholar Pythagoras observed that the pitch of notes or sounds depends on the rapidity of vibrations, and also that the planets move at varying rates of motion. He concluded that the sounds made by their movement vary according to these different rates of motion. Kepler said of this "I grant you that no sounds are given forth, but I affirm...that the movements of the planets are modulated according to harmonic proportions." Since all things in nature are harmoniously made, different sounds can harmonize. The combination of these sounds he called 'The Harmony of the Spheres'.
(The photograph to the right is a cross-section of 13 strand DNA - it looks like the Flower of Life - it feels like The Music Of The Spheres).
This is a particularly intuitive Symbol. It appears that it does not matter if things are going well or not, if you are in tune with your own inner voice, this can be a time of at-one-ment or attunement with your path. Listening to the ‘Music’ around you can open up messages from your own inner voice. The beauty of cycles that go round and round, as seen through the lens of astronomy and astrology, can lead to an understanding of the rhythms of nature and the seasons. Natural cycles revolve, meshing precisely like the gears in a clock. We each have a musical voice, our unique sound. We join with others in harmony and the voices together create alchemy. Sing, ring a bell, play some music, use Tibetan bowls for their beautiful tones. Listen to the words of songs to receive messages that are relevant to you. Being in harmony with your surroundings can bring rewards both seen and unseen.
Keywords: Voices bringing messages. Attuning to the messages inherent in astrology. Harmonies, chords, keys, octaves, tones. Things heard. Natural harmony of life. The beauty of the planets. The measurement of time. Circadian rhythms. Dancing to the wind. The humming of bees. Days of the week. The sound of water over rocks or crystals. The planets speaking through or to you. Sending love. The atomic clock. Harmonics. Musical ratios. Numbers. Numerology. Sound healing.
The Caution: Inflating rational ideas. Delusion or enlightenment? Getting lost in abstractions. Rejecting what's obvious on an intuitive level in favor of more intellectual answers. Loving the sound of your own voice. Not listening to obvious messages.
The Karmic Condition (the degree before) of this new Moon is Aries 28: A LARGE DISAPPOINTED AUDIENCE.
This message is saying that we have to let go of feelings of disappointment, loss, upset, etc, as we move into this new realm of activity and promise. What can you let go of from the past that is holding you back? Do you hear the disappointment you may be expressing? It's natural, of course, to complain at times, but do you hear yourself complaining when really it might benefit you more to let some issues slide? Do you feel left out, that you don't get the right seat, that you're waiting for something that doesn't show up, that you don't have the tickets to the ball, or that, if you do, the seats are all the way at the back? That you don't have the right dress, shoes, handbag, companion, etc? Do you look at your life, your body, your health, your situation in general and only see the problems? So many of us do (and, often, with good reason!) - but the trick with this new Moon is to see your disappointment, recognise it, perhaps salute it and then let go of it. Better things will turn up if we smile and let go. This Symbol can be about watching and judging yourself too harshly, just as much as it can be about doing that to others.
Keywords: Adjustments of expectations bringing realizations about what is really possible. Expecting the response of others. Walking out during a performance. Not listening to something through a lack of interest. Anticipating a different result from what is delivered. Relying on feedback. Lines and queues of people. Criticism. The need to inspire and enthuse.
The Caution: Feeling sad, sorry or letdown because of defeat and frustration. A lot of people left feeling emotionally “wiped-out”. Shattering of illusions. Fickleness. The attitude that one can’t do anything. Everything being out of one’s control. Watching what’s going on and not participating. Being at the mercy of the whims and fancies of others. Judging and analyzing oneself or others. Too many people crammed into one spot. Not getting a seat. Refusal of entry. Booing and hissing.
This Symbol is about family, community and the spaces we live in. It's about who you have (or don't have) in your family. Who you welcome in, and, who is not welcome. There are many ways for us to have a 'Duck Pond' and it's not always family that constitutes it in the best ways. Sometimes it's people who you know on social media, people who give you the time of day and appreciate you.
The Caution: Denying your own needs for others in the ‘Brood’. Narrow-minded attitudes. Not inviting others in. Feeling stuck. Not wanting to leave the nest, grow up or take risks in life. Feeling left out and alone. Smugness or exclusivity. All looking the same and no one standing out as individuals. Being lost in the crowd. Distrusting those that are “alien”. Borders erected to keep out “foreigners”.
Mercury is on Taurus 9: A CHRISTMAS TREE IS DECORATED AND SHINES IN THE DARKNESS
This Symbol speaks of the joy and togetherness of celebrations such as Christmas. When the 'Tree is Decorated' it represents a sign of unity and that many of our family and celebrational needs are, or will be, met. It shows the need for experiencing or accepting family and friends and celebrating cultural ties, and enjoying release from more difficult times. Activities of the group will bring joy to all those who participate or pass close enough to see. Gathering people together in a common cause in order to celebrate festivities and a sense of family can enliven everyone and give them hope. Joy will spread and life will be celebrated.
Keywords: Enjoying the fruits of one's culture. Warmth within whilst it may be cold outside. The rebirth of the spirit. Faith and the hope of happiness and goodwill of people to one another. Celebrations bringing people together that once were parted. Decorations. Things done with loving intent. The promise of good things. Colored lights. Gifts. Stars and angels.
The Caution: The pretense of happiness or success in a decorative show. Not allowing for others from different religions or social classes. Being excluded and left in the cold. Family cohesion on display belying the real situation. Commercialism. Family disappointments.
Mercury symbolizes: Mind, thought, communication, memory, expression, intelligence. News, exchanges, chatting, conversations, short journeys, connections with others, telephones, emails, siblings, neighbors, the reasoning mind. Day-to-day activities. Cars, keys, small animals.
Venus is on Gemini 9: A MEDIEVAL ARCHER STANDS WITH THE EASE OF ONE WHOLLY SURE OF HIMSELF, BOW IN HAND, HIS QUIVER FILLED WITH ARROWS
Venus is closely squaring Neptune (see below for Neptune interp.). This can bring up issues to do with boundaries, dreams, what is real and what is not, etc. Illusions can feel so real, but, it's through seeing into the heart of issues that we can create a reality out of our dreams. We just need to be aware of those boundaries, those things we will say yes or no to, to take note of what we are and are not prepared to do.
This Symbol implies the ability of being able to take aim at something and achieving a bull’s eye, straight at the target. You need to be sure of what you want, to make sure your aim is true, to arm yourself and then go after what you want. Your situation may be one that requires skill, focus, and, probably, a good knowledge of local conditions. There is no need to just rush forward hoping for the best, as this could leave you feeling inadequate or ill-prepared. Compose yourself for a moment, realize that you have the ammunition and the sure marksmanship before taking aim and committing yourself.
Keywords: Being armed and ready. Having the aim and the ammunition. Accuracy and strength. Getting to the point. The power of tension. Sending a message true and clear. Skills that create confidence and assurance. Focus. Bulls-eyes. Bows and arrows. Warriors. The determination to prevail.
The Caution: Going into battle unprepared. Overconfidence in one's mission. Being trigger-happy. Someone "cocksure" of themselves. Threatening postures of attack or defense. Always being on the alert for any opportunity to fight. The thug.
Venus symbolizes: Relatedness, cooperation, what attracts you. The experience of sweetness, beauty or delight. Social interactions, love, friends, how you reach out to people. Feminine persona, relationship with mother and females. Money, possessions, sense of values.
Mars is on Taurus 14: ON THE BEACH, CHILDREN PLAY WHILE SHELLFISH GROPE AT THE EDGE OF THE WATER
Mars is closely trine Pluto (see below for Pluto interp.), which can have us feeling more empowered, more able to get things done, to bring in the new, to make a difference, to make a stand.
This Symbol implies people and all living things living together in peace and harmony. They are playing, enjoying and living at the edge of the water on the beach, doing their own thing and getting on with their own lives. People often just want to get on with their own activities and enjoy life and nature. This is a lovely image of a live-and-let-live attitude, however, it pays to take notice that it is Mars on this degree, and Mars can be rather antsy about the need for one's own space, being demanding and wanting others to go along with their agenda.
Try taking some time out to interact with others - with the coming and going of the tide, people do what comes most naturally to them. Just be careful that you don’t get out of your depth trying to be like others. It shows the essential unity of all life, no matter how "evolved" each being is. Getting back to the basic elements, such as nature, with a sense of 'Play' will help alleviate the seriousness of problems or stress.
Keywords: Being self-sufficient. Looking after one's own affairs. A sense of at-one-ment with all forms of life. Having a live and let live attitude. Peripheral vision. Returning to the source. Feeling safe in a natural environment. Playing alongside nature. Building sand castles. Playing in pools or baths. Buckets and spades. Sun protection. Interacting without really interacting. Swimming. Sand, wind and sea. Rockpools. Shellfish, oysters, shrimp.
The Caution: Meddling in people's lives. Restriction of play. Being distracted. Sandcastles that will eventually get washed away. Not knowing how to loosen up with others and relax into a natural environment. Fussing that people aren't doing the 'right thing'. Sunburn and exposure to weather. Voyeurism.
Mars symbolizes: Drive, determination or agenda, how you get to your goals. How you express and handle anger, ambition, assertion of self and ability to step forward. The male principle, sexuality, the ability to step up to the plate when one needs to. Fight or flight.
Jupiter is on Leo 13: AN OLD SEA CAPTAIN ROCKING ON THE PORCH OF HIS COTTAGE
This is an image of someone who has put a lot of time and energy into his life's work. He has now reached the point where he can, or has to, take time out, to rest and relax. However, being an 'Old Sea Captain', the love of the sea and adventure will be with him forever. He may or may not be retired; whatever, he is taking a break. He has a chance to get on with more domestic matters and to seek peace and quiet 'On the Porch of His Cottage'.
This Symbol shows the need for quiet reflection, to look back at past experiences, especially those times that were threatening or exhausting in some way. Take some time out for a little solitude and contemplate the overall picture of your life. You may want to read, go over past memories, indeed, write your memoirs. When back into the business of life you will be refreshed and have a better idea of how you fit in and what you want to achieve. This Symbol can sometimes indicate wanting to retire and withdraw from life so much that it interferes with the ability to make a living or feel like you are contributing to society.
Keywords: Retreating into one's self. Reflecting. Quiet confidence. Knowing that one can conquer life's storms and come out wiser. Observing life from afar. Wanting to opt out. Retirement, pensions and pension plans. Being dismissed from one's job. Redundancy. The story of one's life. Memoirs. Rocking chairs and verandahs. Contemplation. Gardening. Longing for calmer days. Letters, diaries, photographs. Houses, cottages. Taking a break from society.
The Caution: Ignoring what is happening in favor of memories. Inability to get going. Disconnecting from reality. Feeling lazy. The world owes you a living. Feeling jaded and worn out. Envying those that are '"out there'" in the world. Wanting others to look after you. Complacency. Giving in and giving up. Hangovers. Forgetfulness. Feeling impotent. Being uninvolved. Opting out before one's time.
Jupiter symbolizes: The big picture, expansion, exploration, aspirations, religious and philosophical ideals, issues to do with traveling, foreign lands, people and traditions, culture, education, generosity, luck, abundance, support, optimism. Insight through knowledge and wisdom.
Saturn is retrograde on Sagittarius 4: A LITTLE CHILD LEARNING TO WALK WITH THE ENCOURAGEMENT OF PARENTS
'A Little Child' is shown 'Learning to Walk With the Encouragement of Parents'. The 'Child' needs the support of the 'Parents' in order to learn how to do many of the most basic things. The 'Child' needs guidance, love and encouragement in order to grow and have faith in his or her own abilities. Sometimes we have the 'Encouragement' and support of our elders, other times not. The 'Parents' can't be there all the time to catch the 'Little Child' if it falls, so the 'Little Child' must learn to master the steps that are needed in order to become an independent and confident grownup.
This Symbol implies the necessity of those older to be teachers, exemplars or guides to the younger or less experienced. The “Child” needs the “Encouragement” of “Parents” in order to feel supported or guided. At times, you are likely to fulfill the roles of child or parent to others. You may be moving into new phases of learning that, despite all your previous experience, are surprisingly difficult. Patience and step-by-step progress is needed, as is a guiding hand and a kind word or two. There may be those around you that don't take your difficulties or responsibility seriously, but your struggles will pay off, particularly if you care and share. This Symbol can also imply those younger having to look after their elders.
Keywords: Making genuine progress or always tripping over. Instinctive determination to get on with the job. People taking delight in the smallest progress. Baby steps leading to big things. Trying out and accepting one's individuality. Help from authorities. Seeking guidance and advice. Feeling mother earth under your feet. Parental assistance. Walking on new ground.
The Caution: Relying on skills not yet mastered. Not taking the initiative to put one's self forward. Putting your self at risk rather than accepting help. Acting like one is incompetent in order to draw sympathy and/or help. Meddling and "assisting" when one should be on the sidelines, encouraging. Knowing that someone is going to "trip over" and not offering help.
Saturn symbolizes: Authority, rules, discipline and obligation The heavy stuff. What we fear, loss, karma, aging, the establishment, orthodoxy, tradition, status, the concept of time, walls, boundaries, limits, older people, restrictions, patience, conquering difficulties.
Uranus is on Aries 18: AN EMPTY HAMMOCK HANGS BETWEEN TWO LOVELY TREES
'An Empty Hammock' is shown hanging 'Between Two Lovely Trees'. The image of the 'Hammock' conjures up the allure of a peaceful and safe environment. It can bring memories of better days, and of restful periods when there was an opportunity to enjoy rest and relaxation. The 'Empty Hammock' is an invitation to jump in, relax, and take time out to enjoy nature. Time spent lounging in the garden or in nature can revitalize the senses. Often solutions to problems can come whilst lying in a hammock or enjoying the garden. However, with Uranus here, we may feel like we can't stop for any length of time or we'll have to pay for it somehow or another. Jupiter is on the Old Sea Captain degree and Uranus on The Hammock - sometimes we feel like we just want to STOP! Sometimes we can and sometimes we can't. This Symbol advises us to take time out when we can.
Keywords: Detachment. Abandonment. Having too much to do to be able to rest. Issues to do with sleep. Sleeping difficulties. Planning for days off or for retirement. Hustle and bustle. Memories of loved ones. Lounging or sitting under trees. Having permission to stop. Time out. Missing a lover. Beds, sheets, pillows, sofas. A favorite chair. Holidays. Trees and gardens.
The Caution: Deliberately pushing when in need of rest OR not being involved in life's complexities. Dodging responsibilities. Having nowhere to stay rest or retire. Neglecting time for oneself. Too much work and no play. Areas of life which are not fulfilled. Having so much work there's no time for relationships. Always being on the go.
Uranus symbolizes: The unexpected, things that are individual or 'different'. Charged, energetic dynamics, electricity, light, lightning bolts, sudden changes, those who live on the fringe of society. Sudden turns and twists of fate. Rebellion, surprises, liberation, freedom.
Neptune is on Pisces 10: AN AVIATOR IN THE CLOUDS
'An Aviator in the Clouds' is an image of a pilot in his plane flying at such a high altitude that he is amongst the 'Clouds'. It must be exhilarating to be up so high and observing this wonderful other realm. However, flying high can lead to feelings of being cut off and separate from reality and the real world and it is only a matter of time before the 'Aviator' must come down out of the 'Clouds' as the constraints of his more earth-bound existence eventually kick in.
This shows being able to stay on course, not allowing distractions or difficult or confusing issues to deter you from your destination. Perhaps you need to rise above and transcend the more nitty-gritty realities of earthly existence and its difficulties, just be aware that you may not be seeing the complete picture very clearly sometimes (the 'Clouds' can obscure things). If you take special notice, you may be able to see through illusions, seeing past the surface appearances to things that others miss. You may be able to rely on your spiritual, creative or intellectual skills to take you above and beyond those things that others have to deal with. However, you may also be evading the real truth.
Keywords: Elevated views. Always seeing the best in people and things. Peace and tranquility. The longing for transcendence. Not seeing limitations. Being in a refined "head space". Mastery. Flight, planes, pilots. Avoidance of time constraints. Pollyanna attitudes. Free flights of fantasy and escapism. The need for accurate navigation. Being in charge of the controls. Seeking higher truths. Maps. Compasses. Global satellite positioning. Clouds. Mist and fog. Hang-gliding.
The Caution: Sailing through difficulties or missing what's really going on. Escapist use of alcohol and drugs, etc. Lack of grounded energy or reality. Being unearthed. Escaping responsibilities. Isolating oneself. Completely missing the point. Feeling high and mighty and above everyone else, particularly with intellectual skills. Wrong turns. Missing the signs. Feeling like you're living in a fog. Disconnecting from others, leading to isolation. Losing the plot. Taking huge risks. One's head being separate from the body.
Neptune symbolizes: Mystical, "out there," spirituality and con artists. Dreams, mysteries, mystics and religious issues. Intuition, clairvoyance, seeing into the invisible. Addictive, chaotic, charming, deceptive, illusory, co dependent, sensory awareness.
Pluto is retrograde on Capricorn 16: SCHOOL GROUNDS FILLED WITH BOYS AND GIRLS IN GYMNASIUM SUITS
This degree shows being vibrant and alive and in the physical body with enthusiasm and excitement about life and the future. The “Gymnasium Suits” shows the need to get active and to stay active, to have time in your life to drop into the physical body and enjoy it. If you've been neglecting your physical well-being, it is good to reestablish that affinity with your vitality. Spontaneous enthusiasm and the joy of being 'alive' can regenerate and revive and bring about carefree contact with like minded people. The trick is to bring some form of physical discipline into your life while enjoying it and not feeling forced to do what you don’t want to do.
Keywords: Developing muscular coordination. Sexual energy, attraction or satisfaction. Playing, marching, competition, rivalry. Singing songs of unity. New anthems for the young. The search for identity. Being able to accomplish things on the physical level. Physical fitness. Uniforms and uniformity. Gymnasiums. Exercise equipment. Conscription. Being one of many. Learning how to get along with the opposite sex. Bodybuilding. Level playing fields.
The Caution: Physical showing off for sexual attention. Relationships based on purely physical or sexual attraction. Having to do things that one isn't capable of physically doing. Not joining in. Sexual abuse.
Pluto symbolizes: Unconscious motivation, depth psychology, history. Sex, procreation at a deep level, intensity, profound emotions, taking hold of one's power. Being king or queen of one's underworld. Strength, survival mode instincts. Big money. Big power. The Plutocracy.
Chiron is on Pisces 20: A TABLE SET FOR AN EVENING MEAL
This shows providing sustenance for yourself and others; to “Set” the “Table” and have nourishment available for those who need it. It can show knowledge of nutrition, cooking, catering all the way to knowing how to make money – how to ‘bring home the bacon’. There’s a need to prepare things, to appreciate, assimilate, be nourished by and enjoy. When everything is in place, you’ll want to have people around you to appreciate it. Patience is sometimes needed; having worked hard and long, you need to realize that your needs will be met. Returning home you can find comfort and sustenance. Attend to everyday tasks with reverence. Try to remember to say grace in thanks. This Symbol, especially with Chiron here, can bring up problems to do with having enough money to provide for the basic necessities of life.
Keywords: Provision of life's necessities. Being well nourished. Having to prepare for others. Issues of "who will serve and who will eat". Dinner and dinner parties. Issues of nourishment and having a roof over one's head. Food allergies. Food technology. Breaking bread with others. People bringing a plate to share. Cutlery, plates, glasses. Wine and water. Diets. Groceries. Doing the dishes. Making a meal of something. Obesity. Attention to detail. Hired hands. Catering. Candles. Sharing life's bounty.
The Caution: Making preparations with no ability to nourish or satisfy. Devouring things or people. Banging on the table and asking for more. Guilt around issues of providing. Feasts or famines. Eating syndromes. Empty spaces at the table. Arguing at meal times. Indigestion and heartburn. People not turning up for dinner. Overindulging. Consuming people. Not appreciating life's bounty. Chiron symbolizes: Our wounds and it is known as The Wounded Healer, it also shows us The Stories That We Tell Ourselves, it is where we have to focus on healing, it can show things that are out of shape or misplaced or in need of repair.
The Moon's North Node is on Libra 10: A CANOE IS APPROACHING SAFETY THROUGH DANGEROUS WATERS
'A Canoe is Approaching Safety' implies a time of calm and reassurance ahead. It is coming to
'Safety Through Dangerous Waters'. The way ahead is showing itself and there is an assurance that one is reaching their destination after a difficult or even life-threatening time. The person in the 'Canoe' has probably been through a hair-raising or rough experience, having to shoot the rapids and having to be very adaptable to changing conditions.
This speaks of getting through difficult times in life and coming out the other side. It also infers being able to bring calm reassurance that a time of calm is approaching. The difficulties may have been arduous, but they've added to your experience to cope with any difficult times that are yet to come. The calm is a time to review what has past and how you've come through difficult straits. Realizing that you're on safe ground brings a sense of relief, and it will give you time to catch your breath. You, or someone close to you, may be the kind to go white water rafting in order to stir things up somewhat; if there’s nothing whipping up, you (or they) may go looking for it.
Keywords: The calm after the storm. Navigating difficult straits and coming out okay. White water rafting. Skydiving and other risky activities. Rough waters vs. plain sailing. Recovery. Remission. Light at the end of the tunnel. Personal initiations. Trials of test and defeat. Being stoic. Retaining dignity and graciousness. Exercising care and restraint. Avoiding over exaggerated enthusiasm. Deliverance on many levels. Salvation. Staying on track.
The Caution: Neglecting to take a time to rest. Taking foolhardy risks, believing that all will be okay. Pre-empting situations without completing things in the present. Thinking that "lightning never strikes in the same place twice". Shooting more rapids. Freezing up and not moving.
The North Node symbolizes: This is known as quite a 'karmic point' (although all planets and points in a chart can be'karmic'). One's destiny in this life. The things you are meant to integrate, move towards, become. Destined relationships and relationship issues can show up here.
The Moon's South Node is on Aries 10: A TEACHER GIVES NEW SYMBOLIC FORMS TO TRADITIONAL IMAGES
'A Teacher Gives New Symbolic Forms to Traditional Images'. This Symbol shows someone who can take a thing or a situation and transform and update it. The 'Traditional Images' can be ideas, objects, icons, beliefs; things we are familiar with. That a 'Teacher Gives New Symbolic Forms' shows the ability to restructure, reinterpret and present them more in tune with the times. It indicates a need for a fresh and revitalized perspective on things. This is what Marc Edmund Jones and Elsie Wheeler did with the Sabian Symbol "experiment".
This Symbol implies that you have ideas or a message to spread, but you may be holding back because you think it has been done before – however, things done by you will have your personal stamp on them and they are best done your own way. Bring out something fresh and new and it will also revitalize those around you. Looking at things in a different light, you’ll revision old thought forms with new ones. Try to find new solutions to old ideas – you could revolutionize something. Be prepared to take a different stance or look at things from a new and fresh perspective. Don’t stick to limitations, either your own or those others place on you.
Keywords: New dimensions breaking old thought forms or behavior. Quantum science. Innovation and re-creation. Working with educational tools. Finding new inspiration. Being "ahead of one's time". New-age consciousness. Ideas out of the past for the future. Sticking one's neck out. Rewriting the book.
The Caution: Rejecting old ideas because they are old instead of reforming them. Throwing things of worth out, without examining them. Having little respect for things that are really worthwhile or traditional. Sticking with the tried and true, no matter what. Thinking that no one will be interested in your ideas. Heresy. Dogma.
The Moon's South Node symbolizes: Past karmic patterns to be overcome, can be habits that are good, but can describe things, relationships, issues that you need to let go of, or, hold you back from manifesting your true destiny. Relationships that feel karmic and difficult, memories from the past.

The greatest mistake you can make in life is to be continually fearing you will make one. Elbert HubbardThe Quest Degree (the degree following) this new Moon is Aries 30: A DUCK POND AND IT'S YOUNG BROOD.
Stupid TV. Be more funny. Homer Simpson
Always behave like a duck–keep calm and unruffled on the surface but paddle like the devil underneath. Jacob BraudeKeywords: Nurturing family. Contentment. Realizing limitations. Reliability. The problems and joys in the responsibilities of having a brood to look after. Finding friends or family that enrich one’s life. Psychoanalysis. Family patterns and analysis. Family support. The family sphere. Feeling safe in one’s environs. Being the mother duck. Adoption and foster families. Communes and communities.

Mastery.
