It’s so often said “the people who really run the world.” But what does that mean and look like exactly? Recently, even in the mainstream, the word Deep State has come to mass attention as the governing body that ‘lurks in the shadows’ that secretly runs our world.

Beyond presidents and their administrations, these are the true people and interests making decisions. So as we complain about politician this or that, we’re really just putting our attention on someone who truly doesn’t have the control, allowing the true rulers to do what they need without anyone knowing.

This of course isn’t a new idea, it has been said for hundreds of years that there are secret interests who call the shots from behind the scenes, and that who we vote for doesn’t really matter.

In the short film below, writer, producer, and director — Lubomir Arsov — explores our world in a beautifully revealing way that allows us to see the truth. Typically when we learn of these sorts of secrets, we might feel fearful or that this can’t be true. But I truly believe we are in a time where we can’t continue to turn a blind eye to the reality of these shadowy governing bodies.  We must begin to have the courage to see the truth and ultimately change our future as a result. Leaving our heads in the sand no longer serves us.

In the animation below, Arsov exposes the insanity of our modern society and brings incredible wisdom to the ‘dark shadow’ or ‘deep state’ that quietly manipulates in the background.

Hi my friend,


It’s a blessing for me to connect with you in this way.


After a rocky few days at the beginning of October, this month has the potential to usher in beautiful new gifts and miracles into our lives, so let’s get right to them.



Passion Leads to Miracles


The first week of October will be filled with lots of passion, high and creative energy.


With this much passion and creative energy in the air, it’s important to give it a healthy and productive outlet.


When the energy of passion is fully acknowledged and honored, it has the ability to manifest extraordinary new miracles in our lives.


If passion is not fully acknowledged and honored, the mind tends to internalize it as “anger,” which often leads to blocks and breakdowns in our body, mind, energy field, and experience.


If we do find ourselves feeling angry, viewing it as feedback that can help us redirect our focus to honor the passion within us that desires to fully be expressed, will help tremendously.


Passion is one of the main ingredients that helps us to manifest miracles in our lives.


Passion is a palpable energy that can actually be felt in the body. When passion is expressed physically in a sensual way, it has the power to actually heal and rejuvenate the body. When passion is expressed emotionally in a sensual way, it takes the feeling of well-being to a whole new and expanded level.


If we are someone who has an illness or other imbalance in the body and emotions, opening ourselves up to being more sensual will assist us tremendously.


Being sensual is often a challenge for many people, especially those who are sensitive to energy. The mind often views sensuality as something that requires vulnerability, which it equates with being weak and exposed to judgment, disappointment, or a hurt of some kind.


These misconceptions around sensuality have taught us to create an energetic armor around ourselves that keeps us safe, or what our mind believes is safe.


Yet one of the boldest and most courageous things we can do in today's world is to be vulnerable.


Being vulnerable simply means we allow ourselves to be open and available to ourselves and others.


When someone wears a self-protective armor for long periods of time, they become stiff and rigid.


This kind of rigidity of the mind and body ultimately leads to feelings of disconnect from our Spirit.


The remedy for a rigid, overly self-protective mind and body, is love.


We experience sensuality when we are able to fully express love through our sense of sight, sound, touch, taste, and smell.


Once these senses are activated, our inner senses are then able to awaken and strengthen the mind and body’s connection to our Spirit. This is when we are able to notice, feel, and receive the miracle of life available to us daily.


Our Spirit has and will only ever know love, joy, wholeness, freedom, beauty, abundance, well-being. Anything less is simply not coming from our Spirit.


With this awareness, take a moment to reflect on allowing yourself to experience sensuality.


Knowing all that we know now, are we willing to work with the energy of sensuality to help heal the parts of us that have forgotten how to give and receive love?


Because if we are ready to heal, the next few weeks are offering us the opportunity to let go of the armor, and to open ourselves up to the miracles of life.


Here are some suggestions to help us become more sensual, so that we can be open to all the blessings our Spirit desires to give us:

• Taking a warm bath (adding our favorite essential oils)
• Listening to soothing music that feels good to our Soul
• Receiving a massage or experiencing some kind of soothing/healing physical touch
• Writing/journaling a romantic letter to ourselves, and then to a romantic partner (if we are in relationship)Journaling
• Expressing ourselves through art (playing music, painting, drawing, dancing, pottery making)


There are many ways to awaken and express your sensuality and passion, so let this list simply be a starting point for you.



A Call to Action


The second and third week of October will be all about taking action.


This will be a great time to come up with or revise an action plan to help us manifest more of our desires.


We will feel highly productive, so it’s important to not allow ourselves to get distracted by anything that might move us out of that productivity. If we remain steadfast, we will accomplish many things during this time.


We will also want to keep a journal close to us around this time, to write down the insights and ideas we receive from the cosmic realms.


This will be a time where we begin receiving energetic downloads that will inspire us to see things from a more expanded perspective. Things we may not have noticed before will now come to light in a big way.


This is also the time to keep our eyes, heart, and mind open to the unexpected.


The energy of surprise will be strong, specifically around the time of the New Moon on October 19, so any time between the 17th to the 24th will be ripe for some kind of surprise to show up.



Strengthening Our Intuitive Gifts


The final week of October will offer us a time to go within and start developing our intuitive gifts even more.


Developing our natural intuitive gifts will allow us to view things from a much more expanded perspective.


As we develop our intuitive gifts, we may also start to notice energy more. This can show up as seeing the auras around people, animals, and things in nature.


We may notice that we can feel energy more. This can show up as goosebumps in the body, or warmth in the hands, feet, back of the neck, face, or stomach.


We may also notice number sequences more, such as the clock reading 11:11, 2:22, 3:33, etc. This often happens to help us realize a synchronicity that is going on around us.


We may notice energy balls of blue, pink, white, or golden light in our peripheral vision.


We may also see sparks (like mini shooting stars). This happens to remind us to pay attention to what’s happening around us in that moment. There’s usually a message or confirmation trying to reveal itself.


Our ability to connect with and hear our intuition will become easier.


We may notice an awakening of new or old desires to learn more about healing and energy therapies.


We may notice a desire to help and support others coming through even more clearly.



All of these gifts, and much more, are already within each of us.


There are periods of time that are more conducive to helping us develop these gifts, and the end of October ushers in one of those times.


So, if there’s a class, course, new book, group, or personal practice you feel drawn to, this will be an excellent time to immerse yourself in it!


Overall, October will be gentler energetically then the past several months have been.


As always, make sure to nurture and take good care of yourself.

Artist Creates Colorful Collages with Flowers and Plants

Seattle-based Bridget Beth Collins mixes her love of nature with her interest in art to create stunning collages out of colorful flower petals, leaves, twigs and whatever plant materials she can get her hands on.


Collins, gathers materials for her collages from the areas surrounding her home in Ravenna, in Seattle. She then arranges the pieces into intricate shapes, using the natural colors to create a sense of depth. Through her intrinsic understanding or color and texture, she is able to transform flower petals into feathered birds, berries into sea creatures, and leaves into human faces.

Collins revealed that her love of nature was fostered at a young age, during her backpacking trips through magnificent mountain meadows. She would often pretend to be a fairy, and gathered plants to press in books at home. When she grew up she majored in theater, and refers to herself as “a product of its dark, magical, sparkly world.”

As an adult, Collins has managed to retain that admiration for nature, and continues to use it as an inspiration for art. New ideas for pictures jump out at her constantly as she goes about her day. “I go for a walk in my neighborhood or bring a bouquet home from the market and I see a whale’s tail in a shamrock’s leaf, or a snake’s scales in the sedum,” she said.

Apart from making stunning collages, Collins is also involved in designing mandalas and writing books for children.

Google is celebrating Martin Luther King Jr. Day with a local Roxbury artist’s illustration | The Boston Globe

Roxbury artist creates Google Doodle for Martin Luther King Jr. Day

One morning last month, Roxbury artist Ekua Holmes got an unexpected e-mail. The subject line: “Hello from the Google Doodle team!”


She didn’t know what a Google Doodle was, let alone that it had a whole team behind it. “I’m sure I’d seen them, but I didn’t know it was a whole thing,” she said.


She does now. On Monday, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Holmes’s Google Doodle illustration honoring the civil rights leader is the featured image on Google’s US homepage. The collage depicts King walking arm in arm with fellow activists in Selma, Ala.


Most artists could only dream of such exposure. Traffic to the page is typically in the many millions. “It’s pretty astronomical [and] jaw-dropping,” said Ryan Germick, who leads Google’s Doodle-making team.


Holmes, a painter and collage artist who is not represented by a gallery, was shocked to be tapped for the project. “He said he found me somewhere on the Internet. Somewhere on the Internet? That’s like somewhere in the Himalayas,” said Holmes, 59, whose Roxbury home is about five blocks from where she grew up.


Holmes works out of a South End studio, a jumble of art materials, found objects, and assorted items from the past — a VHS player (which she still uses), an old record player, her childhood tambourine, and her atlas dating to 1954. “Lots of things that inspire me have age on it,” she said during a recent studio visit.


The artist layers newspaper, photos, fabric, and other materials to create luminous compositions. Many of them evoke her own happy childhood in Roxbury’s close-knit Washington Park neighborhood, where, she said proudly, King had visited. King studied at Boston University in the early 1950s — living just a few blocks from where Holmes’s studio is now — and he preached at Roxbury’s Twelfth Baptist Church, which Holmes visits occasionally.


“You hear about families breaking down in [Roxbury] neighborhoods, and you can focus your attention there, but I prefer to focus my attention on families that take care of each other and spend time together,” she said.

When Holmes grew up, her neighborhood felt to her like an extended family. Her father, who died when she was 8, was a waiter on Beacon Hill; her mother was a bookkeeper and accountant. “Those were the days when you knew everyone on your street,” said Holmes, a 1977 graduate of Massachusetts College of Art.


“When I think of Roxbury, I think of richness, comfort, opportunity,” said Holmes, who even as a child loved playing with paper and other materials to create designs.


Her role models in the neighborhood included arts leader Elma Lewis — “she lived five streets down” — and mural artist Gary Rickson. (“My cousin took me to visit him. I smelled his paint.”)


“Everybody was encouraging you. You knew people expected great things from you,” she said.


Holmes earned a scholarship to Shady Hill School, the prestigious private school in Cambridge. She took ballet classes at the Elma Lewis School of Fine Arts and elocution lessons in the South End. “My mother was determined to make life better for me, and education was the way.”


Holmes was determined to be an artist, though it wasn’t until her mother’s death some 25 years ago that she threw herself fully into it — “the event that really triggered me thinking deeply about what life is, that we don’t live forever.”


In the last couple of years, Candlewick Press, the acclaimed children’s book publisher based in Somerville, has commissioned Holmes to illustrate a picture-book biography of civil rights activist Fannie Lou Hamer, which comes out in September, as well as a book of poetry.


In 2013, Holmes was named to the Boston Art Commission, which oversees public art projects on city property. And she’s creating a community installation that opens at the Institute of Contemporary Art on Feb. 7: a gigantic interactive collage with scenes of Boston in transition, designed to complement the new ICA group exhibition, “When the Stars Begin to Fall.”


Holmes, who is passionate about grass-roots community arts outreach, also works part time for MassArt, where she is director of sparc!, the ArtMobile, an initiative that brings art and design workshops and programs to people in Boston.


For countless Web users, Google Doodles are one highly accessible form of art — little surprise goodies that break up the monotony of an everyday Internet search. They surface randomly — “probably 40 times a year,” Germick said — and can be animated, interactive, video, or static, like Holmes’s collage.


The Doodles, which incorporate the Google logo, celebrate events, achievements, or holidays, ranging from Christmas to the 50th anniversary of “Doctor Who.”


Google has a core team of about 10 artists and engineers who work on the Doodles, “but we look to mix it up and we are always on the lookout [for artists],” said Germick, himself an illustrator who has personally worked on hundreds of Doodles.


He found Holmes by chance, he said, and put her on his “running list of dream collaborators.” As Martin Luther King Jr. Day approached, he reached out to her.


“We thought she would be wonderful,” he said. “Her work has a universal quality and is really colorful and vibrant.”


Holmes treasures this opportunity. “It’s very cool to think of representing him on his special day,” she said of King. “It will be a different thing to get up on the 19th and type in Google.com.”

Prominent Illustrator's Work Now in Permanent Collection


To call it unlikely would be an understatement.


A work of art that challenges the official account of 9/11 has been accepted into the permanent collection of the 9/11 Museum in New York City. And surprisingly, the piece was created by an artist who is best known for his illustrations in the mainstream media.


Anthony Freda — who has contributed provocative political art to publications like The New York Times, Time, Rolling Stone, Esquire, The New Yorker, and Playboy — says he has no idea why the museum would accept his painting, titled "9-11 Questions."


The original "9-11 Questions" by artist Anthony Freda is now owned by the 9/11 Museum, though it is not clear whether its curators intend to ever display it in public.


"I still can't figure out what is in the museum's mind letting me in there, because literally every part of my being is fighting against the official narrative that they are trying to promote," he said in an interview. "The thing that fascinates me, and they admitted this, is that this is the only piece in the entire collection that questions the official narrative in any way."


Freda met with museum staff for 90 minutes to donate the art and to answer questions about the images it contains. The entire exchange was filmed for a documentary called Behind Truth Art, which is planned for release in 2015. (This 30-minute preview shows highlights of the meeting.)


Museum officials told Freda that "9-11 Questions" will rotate with other works on display and that it may also be included in traveling 9/11 art shows organized by the museum. But he concedes that museum officials, now that they own it, can do whatever they want with the piece — including locking it in a vault forever.


Freda created the work eight years ago, when The Village Voice commissioned him to illustrate its article "Fakes on a Plane," which was intended to "gently make fun" of online 9/11 documentaries like Loose Change and the people who believe them.

The assignment led Freda to research the subject of 9/11, and he reached an unexpected conclusion — that those who were challenging the official story are actually intelligent, serious about their research, and willing to make personal sacrifices to stand up for the truth.


"Oh my God, these guys aren't crazy like I thought," he recalls saying to himself. "Why would they put their careers on the line to get this information out when they have everything to lose and nothing to gain?"


Thus began Freda's personal journey of discovery. The more he explored, the more convinced he became that the evidence put forward by the 9/11 Truth Movement is scientific, factual, and undeniable.


"I didn't go into this willingly or easily, but when you're presented with all the evidence, you can only stick your head in the sand so long. The more I look into it, the more the evidence becomes reinforced. It just gets stronger and stronger, and you can't tear it apart."


Freda says he also came to understand how much of a price the world has paid as a result of the 9/11 deception: wars, millions dead, a police state, and a pervasive feeling of fear, hysteria, and paranoia.


"The script is literally out of 1984. It's life imitating art."


Freda admits to biting the hand that feeds him. "A lot of the publications I've worked for are the same people who promoted the lies that took us to Iraq and reinforced the official narrative [of 9/11]. I have a foot in both worlds. When I get some assignments from mainstream media, I try to use those assignments to get some truth messages in there. They have the right to say what they want to say, and we have a right to say they are lying."

The documentary


Behind Truth Art director John Massaria will be using the work of Freda as the focal point of his film, which he hopes will be upbeat, not heavy or preachy. "Through this, we're trying to say to people, 'What do you think about using art to wake up people?' Art transcends words and language, and it kind of takes all those barriers down."


Freda agrees: "The movie's not just about me, it's about activists and artists and people who are trying to come up with creative ways to get these messages out there."


Interviewees for the film include William Binney, Gerald Celente, Richard Grove, Adam Kokesh, Peter Kuper, Lee Camp, and a number of other thinkers and activists.


Massaria says that once Freda's 9/11 piece was accepted, the museum gave him permission to bring in a film crew to document the artist donating his work. But after the film had been shot, museum officials had a change of heart. "What's curious is they really didn't want us releasing that footage at all; they tried to backpedal."


At that point, Massaria turned for legal advice to Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth founder and CEO Richard Gage, who referred him to a team of lawyers. They confirmed that a film documenting the museum staff accepting Freda's donation would not be cause for a lawsuit. If it came to that, though, it would "look pretty bad for the public relations department [of the museum]," Massaria observes.


"It just brings up another side of the story. And if you can't have both sides shown, then the museum's a fraud."  ~ John Massaria


The director couldn't have scripted things any better: Filming Freda being questioned about his work of art for an hour and a half ended up being much more interesting and revealing than if the staff had said a simple "thank you" for the gift.


Massaria says he was told that the museum has also had several 9/11 Truth films donated by their directors, but that these films will remain in the museum's internal archives. He says he hopes the public will demand that Freda's "9-11 Questions" be exhibited.


"It just brings up another side of the story. And if you can't have both sides shown, then the museum's a fraud."


A major obstacle to the film being finished is funding. A Kickstarter campaign brought in $3,500, but more money is needed to complete it. Anyone interested in contributing to the effort can email the filmmaker [here].

This energy turns your thoughts and ideas toward how you feel, what inspires you with love and beauty.  This is a great time to be particularly creative, or do something related to the arts.  It is best to keep it light and let go of your mundane burdens just for a time.  Pleasure reading, walk on the beach, a play or museum are all good things to do at some point this week.

5/28 ~ Sun (core identity) ~square~ Neptune (dissolution):

Your energy may be lower than usual today. This is the Universe's way of slowing you down, momentarily. Take it easy and put off anything that can be put off. You may feel pessimistic, however, it will pass. In the meantime, try not to do anything that requires confidence or courage. If you do take on an ambitious project, you may find later that your objectives were totally unrealistic and/or impossible to attain. Be aware of any urge to deceive - in your Self or others. Take those rose-colored glasses off and deal with what IS, not what you wish it was.

5/31 ~ Sun (core identity) ~trine~ Mars (desire):

This is a powerful energy for solidifying who you are and what you are capable of.  It brings out your desire to be truly self-sustained and independent, and with the good angle between Sun and Mars, makes forward movement almost effortless.  If you are not clear about who you are or what your purpose is, this energy will inspire you to find out.  If you are already on track and crystal clear, then this energy strongly supports progress.  It is a great time for physical activities that bring you joy and get your juices flowing.  You should review, with gratitude, all the goals you've accomplished thus far and begin deciding what you can finish up in preparation for what's coming.  You are truly being prepared for your future, use this great energy to ground that intent.
