Full Moon Phase/Partial Lunar Eclipse: clarity, revelation

Sun: 16 Leo - "brilliant sunshine just after a storm"

Higher Expression:  clearing the air, new beginnings and new ideas, discovering something (about yourself?), release of old conditions or mindset, start up, moving forward

Lower Expression: trauma response of fearing the worst will happen, remaining in the past

Earth: 16 Aquarius - "a big businessman at his desk"

Higher Expression:  organizing, decisive, willing to take a risk

Lower Expression:  feeling of powerlessness, control issues, bossy, feeling of isolation

This lunar month started with the New Moon at "under emotional stress, blood rushes to a man's head."  What has transpired for you since the New Moon on July 23?  Has it left your head spinning?

We now come to the Full Moon at "a big businessman at his desk."  The remainder of the month provides energetics for better emotional containment, problem solving, and making progress.

Our goal between now and the New Moon/Total Solar Eclipse (in two weeks) is to put effort into identifying and grouping any false beliefs, negative outlooks, self-denigration, and feelings of failure to be eclipsed (taken away) with the New Moon/Total Solar Eclipse.  We will send to the Sun anything that needs to be purged or burned off.

The next two weeks offer an unparalleled opportunity to straighten our course.  We want to take full advantage now, as the Full Moon illuminates with the greatest clarity that which we need to see.

The Total Solar Eclipse on August 21 is a big deal.  There is much ado about a lot!  The dream that we are collectively dreaming will begin take a turn.  This turn is for the better, but it will mean intensification, escalation, and polarization.  Things may look worse before they look better.  In fact, we can count on this.

The degree of the Sun today is "brilliant sunshine just after a storm."  Between now and the end of the year, the skies will be like they are when there is brilliant sunshine IN THE MIDDLE OF a storm.

Wise owls focus on the Sun -- the sunnier side, the side of transformation, the side of LIFE.

Today, embrace the Sun even if it is not visible.  Begin your transmission of what you want to release to the Sun with its eclipse at the New Moon.  Be diligent with this.  Be conscious of it.  Make it mean something.

True Alignments:  brave, satisfaction, going ahead, open hearted, purposeful, taking position, the processes of development, forming structure, the resonance principle (like attracts like), little indulgences


Catalysts for Change:  close-minded, chasing, looking at the glass half empty, unreliable, instability, overdoing, irrational, powerlessness, fear of change, abandonment issues, lack of purpose

Today's report is abbreviated somewhat, as I will be recording the overview of the new lunar month later today. 

Here are the highlights of what's in store for us this month:


1- out in the open - what has been done in the dark is brought to light


2- facing off and drawing the line- we face all kinds of things: ourselves, the truth, reality and then draw lines (as in lines in the sand)


3- Russia


4- relationship issues solved or addressed (Grand Trine in water signs with Venus, Mars, and Chiron)


5- clarity about feelings, issues, and what we value


6- new endeavors or new ways of doing things supported; branching out


7- the voice of the people takes center stage


8- "the left" is activated (political left, left brain, leftists)


9- seeing right through things (deception, deeds, intentions)


10- relentless, resilient, strong


11- choices


12- divergence before convergence


13 - going against the norm (and one's own norm) and throwing things off our backs


14- an "initiation" of humanity into adulthood


15- double dealings, double crosses, double agents revealed


16- the winnowing or whittling down of things based on resonance or dissonance


We may feel in over our heads in some ways today, but this is a natural by-product of the shift into a new quarter or "season" on the Medicine Wheel.  Cancer is a cardinal sign, so it is a right turn in a new direction.  This is the first shift point since the astrological new year, the New Moon in Aries back on April 7th.  Things have been going one way and now evolve to a higher level.  The next shift comes with the Libra New Moon during October and the Capricorn New Moon during January.  These are the big turns during the year every year, so we want to be as flexible as possible right now.


But today is not a day to wait around on anything.  Venus is activating the energetic of "a young woman awaiting a sailboat."  Don't wait for a ship to come in.  Instead, carpe diem - seize the day!  The "vast dark space" of this month's energetic theme provides the Creative Void from which we can draw upon anything.  Aim high as you set intentions, hopes, wishes, and goals for the lunar month (lighting a candle while doing so is recommended by this month's Sabian symbols).

The energy this month is like a strong current moving forward.  There is a feeling that every intention is amplified.  You will find the consequences of your thoughts, your words, and your actions will all come more quickly and more strongly than usual. 


This is an important time to take profound accountability for your intentions.  Strive to be mindful of your words and actions.  No one is perfect, so no one will be able to make perfect intentions all the time.  This month, it will be very important for you to be forgiving and flexible, and be very quick to apologize and not easy to offend.  When unintended consequences arise, make sure that you are very forgiving of others, and of yourself, so that you can quickly apologize and move on.  Change the intention, shift the energy with an apology, and then reset your intention. 


If you hold onto embarrassment, guilt, shame or trying to blame others, then you will find yourself holding the mistaken intention for so long that you will have large and long-standing negative repercussions.  On the other hand, if you will quickly apologize and move on, or if you will quickly forgive and move on, then you can reset the intention and begin the process of having your positive intentions come to light. 


It will be very important for you to be fluid and keep your eyes wide open this month.  Move with the flow, keep changing, and do not hold onto old feelings and goals this month.

It will be useful to be communicative.  Be willing to talk, be willing to ask questions, and be willing to listen carefully and readily to what is happening around you.  This is not a time to keep your thoughts to yourself, nor to hold still and hope that someone else will fix the problem.  This is a time to speak up and say what is on your mind. 


This is time to be gracious and yet active.  Stay active in your communities and in your relationships.  This is a very active time, and it is an exciting time.  Words -- what you say and how you say it – will matter greatly.  The important actions this month will be in how you interrelate with others. 


In order to stay on top of this energy and really benefit from it, you need to be moving with it.  Do not delay events or decisions.  The Divine Masculine has a strong energy this month.  It is time to be outward and engaged.  This is not a time for quiet reflection or holding still.

What's Happening in the Stars?  May 19-25, 2014

Mars finally gets moving forward in peace loving Libra and the Sun
skips into curious Gemini. The Shift in energy will be noticeable. 
You are charged up and ready to take action. Make your plans clear,
all this back and forth over the last couple months has caused an
energetic impasse- You are a powerful co-creator. Use your magical
powers of focus, feeling, and imagination to create the most prosperous
life you can imagine for yourself.

On Monday May 19, 2014 Mars make its move forward.  Yippee. 
It is traveling through Libra. Lovely Libra.  It's been backtracking
there since March and when planets retrograde t hey say their energy
is turned inward. But Mars feels best moving forward and Libra is
too wishy-washy for Mars to meet it's fast acting potential.  Now though,
it should pick up the pace of things and helping you become certain and decisive.

In July, when Mars finally shifts from its unusually long stay in Libra
it will be moving into penetrating Scorpio. You will get clear on things
that have been uncertain for months. Scorpio is decisive in an all or
nothing off with the head kind of way. Use the next couple of months
to see all sides of the story so when it comes time to make the choice
you will be confident that you have done the groundwork. There is
potential for things to develop very quickly soon-  Reminder yourself:
You are poised and receptive to your good fortune. Remember you are
Powerful.

The Sun, one of my favorite planets, certainly the most well known next
to that beautiful moon of ours, is moving into Gemini on Tuesday the
20th pst- Yay!  Witty banter is super fun with the Gemini energy. 
Visits and little trips and getting out in the world is such a joy when the
sun is in Gemini.  If you have writing or speaking that needs doing,
take notes.  A recorder might be a great way to capture your brilliance
with the least effort.  The focus of Gemini is not the most laser like- it’s more
butterfly-esque.

The spring is magnificent there is so much growth so mind bogglingly fast-
I could just stay in one spot and marvel at the things effortlessly coming
into being for days.  Spring makes growing look like a breeze.  The Gemini
sun gives us the energy  to garden and hang laundry on clothes lines and clean
closets and drawers and meet funny friends for brunch and a little non-
dysfunctional day drinking.   Life is busy and full and fantastic with Gemini.
No dull moments.

While you are adapting to the Sun and Mars shifting generous Jupiter and
wise Saturn connect in a trine, a triangle aspect of ease and contentment.
Any effort will be rewarded.  Now you can stick with it and see clearly
what steps to take to arrive at the future you choose.  Write this down!
We are not always this clear headed so be sure to capture hopes and
wishes in words.  Words are the first step towards manifesting.

A wonderful way to get in touch with your true heart’s desire is to write a
letter as your future self, to your present self. Give yourself advice, explain
how fortunate and grateful you are for the amazing life you have managed
to create.  Give details about the home you have, the kind of work you are
doing, the relationships in your life.  Make it as real as possible. You can
make the letter twenty years in the future or ten.  Five is the most challenging,
but in many ways the most important.

What does your wise future self want you to know?  You'll be happy you took
the time to write this letter, magic happens when you call upon your wisest
self for guidance. Enjoy the newness this week.  Change is so reliable,
embrace it!
