Leo season unfolds as the powerful Uranus-Mars-NN conjunction in Taurus continues to shake us out of our comfort zones. This energy signature will wildly unfold into May 2023, so we have entered a new phase of dynamic changes between 16 to 18 degrees Taurus in your chart. Mercury enters Virgo on August 3, bringing in much-needed practical discernment and assessments. Venus in Cancer will connect with Neptune and Pluto this week, as Mars in Taurus makes a square to Saturn RX in Aquarius to ensure you’re taking action with the bigger picture in mind. The 8/8 Lion’s Gate Portal is a cosmic gateway to higher frequencies- but you have to leave the South Node in Scorpio energies behind to lighten the load. The 8/8 portal is an intense activation period for Starseeds to experience greater consciousness around their talents, energies, healing, origins, and soul mission on the planet. The incoming light codes and neutrinos are opening up dormant soul consciousness DNA and supporting your natural frequency state. Three stars in Orion constellation match up with the three pyramids in Giza, Egypt during this 8/8 portal, further amplifying cosmic energies flowing onto the planet through pyramid energy receptors. Sirius is commonly associated with the Lion's Gate, but it's important to note that Sirius is a fixed star located at 16 degrees Cancer. It is the brightest star in the sky; Sirius is 26 times brighter, and twice the size, of our solar system's Sun. Sirius was viewed in the sky above the pyramids by ancient Egyptians during this time of the year, and it was commonly interpreted as a sign of prosperity, harvest, and abundance.

Sarah Varcas: The Astrology of 2020: Part 1 Resistance, Choice Points and Fresh Perspectives

Saturn Pluto conjunction 2020, Jupiter south node conjunction, solar eclipse in Capricorn, lunar eclipse in Cancer, December 2019 solar eclipse, January 2020 lunar eclipse, Jupiter Pluto conjunction 2020, Jupiter Saturn conjunction 2020

2020 is set to be a watershed year offering many opportunities for change and recalibration. On considering the charts for this year I feel excitement about what could be, whilst being mindful of the fact that what will be is largely up to us! There will undoubtedly be challenges along the way, coupled with gifts and blessings. Our task is to rise to the former and welcome the latter with gratitude, knowing that both form part of the current evolutionary thrust.

The quality of energy throughout 2020 is defined by three core events:
1) The Saturn/Pluto conjunction which reaches exactitude on 12th January and begins a new 33 year-long cycle.
2) The Jupiter/Pluto conjunction which reaches first exactitude on 5th April, second on 30th June and third on 12th November. This begins a new 13 year-long cycle.

3) The Saturn/Jupiter conjunction which reaches exactitude on 21st December and begins a new 20 year-long cycle.
These influential conjunctions will shape our future direction both personally and collectively. Involving three of the outer planets, they remind us that what happens in our individual lives feeds into the collective stream of consciousness from which we all draw. Cultivating hope and envisioning a positive future can be a powerful act of creation. If that vision is imbued with commitment to being part of the solution, not allowing oneself to be torpedoed by negative doom-mongering, all the more so. The energy of a conjunction is fresh and innovative, allowing new possibilities, perspectives and potential to emerge. It enables us to combine inner resources and outer circumstances in such a way that we can forge a new path ahead, one that may have seemed out of reach or even non-existent not so long ago.

Three such conjunctions in one year signals the need for much adjustment during the coming twelve months. Indeed, with so much innovative energy in the mix, the future is highly unlikely to look much like anything we’ve envisaged from our current standpoint. 2020 will see arising new ways of perceiving life and our role in its unfolding. Being open to these perspectives is key to allowing their fruits to be realised in the years to come. Be prepared to release long cherished beliefs in favour of a more expansive view of what could be possible in the longer term. Human knowledge is forever evolving. There is so much more to be revealed. Beware of anyone who claims possession of the full facts and declares the debate closed – that it’s time to pick a side and either you’re right or you’re wrong, with us or against us. This string of conjunctions tells us there’s more to come, more to be revealed, discovered, surmised, hypothesised and tested against our current understanding of reality. There’s still so much we simply don’t yet know.

Further supporting a shift into new ways of living is Uranus travelling through Taurus. Facilitating a radical restructuring of the externals of our lives, it brings us into alignment with a more balanced and sustainable future. Here we find innovative solutions to the pressing global and local issues of our time, epitomised in a root and branch reshaping of our relationship with the physical and natural world. Our understanding of everything from money to the environment will be changed by Uranus in Taurus in the coming years. In 2020 we will find ourselves either hyper-energised to be part of the change or to resist it with all our might. Which is why what actually happens is up to each and every one of us!

The build up to the Saturn/Pluto conjunction

The immediate build up to the first of the 2020 conjunctions began with a solar eclipse in Capricorn on 26th December 2019.  Conjunct Jupiter, trining Uranus and squaring Chiron, this eclipse provided a window of opportunity to stabilise energy and ground aspirations for the new year. Mercury in Sagittarius trining Eris at the time of the eclipse may have seduced us into over-estimating our capacity for rapid change. But Jupiter’s support in Capricorn balanced this with a more pragmatic approach to the pursuit of our goals. If events around this time left you feeling a bit flat when you hoped to be inspired, bear in mind that the peaks and troughs of energy flow can be communications from life itself, highlighting where and when we need to act, rest or recalibrate. There will be plenty of opportunity in the coming weeks to both light the fires of inspiration and get our hands dirty in the practicalities of implementing change. This eclipse was only the beginning…

Jupiter’s grounding influence in the 26th December eclipse is brought to fullness in its exact conjunction to the moon’s south node in Capricorn on 8th January. In doing so it reminds us that traditional bases of power are crumbling and placing our faith in their continuation is increasingly unwise! Relying on those in power to take action for our collective wellbeing may be the biggest mistake we could make this year! And being the change we want to see in the world, our greatest act of power. This conjunction affirms that political and economic systems everywhere are on their last legs, no matter how powerful they may appear. It has never been more timely to think in different terms about how we secure our personal and collective future; to recognise the power of living on purpose in our everyday lives. We are not victims and we are not powerless. Far from it in fact! But our strength is potentised not in a struggle against the status quo but in an affirmation of the potential for change and an expression of that change in our daily life and consciousness. What you resist persists is not a well-worn saying for no reason! Where we place our attention matters more than we can know. Turning away from the system and towards a new dawn allows us to invest energy in positive solutions, not in bolstering out-moded powerbases by fighting against them.

A Lunar Eclipse in Cancer

Jupiter’s alliance with the south node continues into the lunar eclipse in the 21st degree of Cancer on 10th January. With the Sun conjunct Mercury, Saturn and Pluto at this point, it serves as a precursor to the Saturn/Pluto conjunction occurring two days later. It’s frequently the case that the build up to such a conjunction feels more stressful than the actual conjunction and its aftermath. Once the planetary alliance is exact the energy flows and we know what to do with it. Prior to this resolution of tension, the approach can feel unsettling and disruptive. It will come as little surprise, then, that the activation of Cancerian energy at the eclipse signals heightened emotional sensitivity and a need to take care of each other. We may find ourselves mysteriously free of recent troubles or increasingly weighed down by them. We may finally see their insignificance in the context of the vast universe or be unable to see around them no matter how hard we try.

This is an eclipse of extremes and therefore of extreme possibilities. It could bring liberation from a viewpoint that has kept us imprisoned – mentally, emotionally, spiritually – or it could strengthen those prison bars with a dose of so-called ‘reality’ which tells us nothing ever changes, life’s a struggle and the sooner it’s over the better. It reminds us that personal experience cannot be divorced from the collective energetic field in which lies the potential for all things. In seeing beyond our tiny fear-based perspective we can open ourselves to this wider potential with reverence and awe. There are always possibilities at the edge of our vision if we look in the right way. What was previously in our blind spot can come into view with a tilt of the head and this eclipse provides an opportunity to shift perspective to see things in a very different light. But the strength of our emotions may discourage us from believing this to be true! If you find yourself overwrought or overwhelmed at this lunar eclipse, ask yourself ‘How would it feel if I believed there was another way to view this situation?’. That question alone may take the heat out of the flames and allow a more cooling effect on an over-stimulated heart and mind.

The Saturn/Pluto Conjunction

Following hot on the heels of the lunar eclipse comes the Saturn/Pluto conjunction exact at 16:23 UT on 12th January in the 23rd degree of Capricorn. With the Sun and Mercury also conjoined, consider it a reminder of the power (Pluto) of thought (Mercury) and our responsibility (Saturn) to inform our evolving will (Sun) with greater insight into the true nature of ‘reality’. Perspectives formed at this time will be highly charged with the innovative force of the Saturn/Pluto conjunction. Unlike many outer planet conjunctions which recur over a number of months, this alliance occurs only once, intensifying the process of shift to a new perspective. Consider this a choice-point of sorts, during which we can decide how to approach the year ahead and draw upon the imposing energy of this conjunction to cement our commitment. Of course, this also means that if we allow negativity or despair to cloud our minds and hearts at this time, the ripple effect of doing so may lap upon our shores for some time to come.
But this doesn’t mean that if we’re having a hard time in January the whole year’s already a write-off. Far from it! The key is our response to that hard time: do we cement it with our reactions, adding misery upon misfortune, or do we embrace the conjunction energy to allow new understanding, perspectives and feelings to arise? Can we recognise the catalysing action of trauma or challenge, which can as much clear away old emotional debris as create more? Can we feel the energetic hurricane that up-ends a life as the winds of change that point us eventually in a new and more productive direction?

Many people fear the action of Pluto in their lives. But fear is not a helpful response and be wary around those who encourage it! Pluto demands of us a mighty heart that can release all that no longer supports who we must be. Conjunct Saturn it reminds us that the most imposing change can also be a powerful catalyst for mature wisdom. Whilst this conjunction may have a purging effect on our lives at some level, if we can recognise its action as a solution not a problem we can ride those storms more wisely. This conjunction of planetary heavyweights invites us into a more mature and insightful relationship with our inherent power. It illuminates where we project it onto others or onto institutions which seek to control our lives for their own benefit. In the coming years we must own our power and the responsibility that comes with it. Or face with full force the consequences of refusing to do so. We must dig deep and rise strong in the face of increasingly desperate power-plays of those who sense influence slipping from their grasp as people wake up to their lies.

Uranus And Eris have their say

Both  Uranus & Eris are stationing direct at the time of the conjunction, reflecting how this alliance between Saturn and Pluto may stop us in our tracks. Not immediately perhaps, but as its energies ‘bed in’ over time and pervade our everyday life. Grabs for power may occur on the world stage in unanticipated ways, whilst the karmic consequences of egotistical assumptions of entitlement become ever more evident. Those in power who refuse to pause a while to reflect on their intent may find themselves confronted with the inevitable outcomes of blind arrogance. In the words attributed to Mahatma Gandhi: ‘What’s the point of running so fast if you’re running in the wrong direction?’. In this new Saturn/Pluto cycle, slowing down becomes a radical act of self-determination: An opportunity to cease spinning in an endless whirl, gather up our thoughts and feelings and embrace their deeper contemplation for a while.

By contrast, a square from Eris to the conjunction heralds an opportunity to move through intensity much quicker than before. Here we see the potential for our perception of time to shift exponentially. What once took years to process we can now do in a few months and what took months can take weeks or days. We have the opportunity to suffer less and reap greater rewards, but we must choose to do so. Our attitude is key to this choice. If we focus on pain without hope of change, that’s what we’ll get. If we process the pain, work with it, be authentic within it, the outcome could be beyond our wildest imaginings as the rejuvenating power of a mighty heart is unleashed within us.

In this sense, the notion of ‘long term’ is shifting beneath our feet as evolutionary forces flood our lives with such intensity that we can be swept up in their embrace before we catch our breath. One day we’re living this life then, bam, it’s all change. Just like that. The external trappings may look largely the same (for a while at least) but the very fabric of our life has shifted beyond return. We know it and feel it, even if we can’t yet articulate it. This experience is becoming more frequent as we awaken to the forces of change that act on all levels of our being. We can no longer ignore or dismiss them for they have become us. They are the very life force itself, refreshed and renewed by the vital forces that flood this planet and all who live upon her.

Amidst these moments of sudden shift are those of mind-numbing mundanity which challenge us to put into regular practice all we profess to believe. This is the ‘work’ of conscious evolution: living the ordinary life in an extraordinary way, knowing material ‘reality’ as both the most and least real thing about our existence. We can reach out and touch it, identify it, name it, and yet if we seek its substance it melts before our eyes. Nothing is as it seems and yet we must live it anyway, both mundane and divine. In doing so we embody the unbounded human spirit which is rising triumphant, undeterred by the barriers it must breach to make its mark.

Occupying our own sovereignty

January will be intense, for sure. It will also be immense in terms of the heralded new beginning. Saturn/Pluto cycles speak of power and responsibility. Of what we do with the influence we have over life. Of what we choose to create and destroy. Of how well we mature (or not) into intentional beings of vast creative potential. With the Saturn/Pluto conjunction occurring in Saturn-ruled Capricorn squared by Eris, the tendency to concentrate power in the hands of the wealthy, the confident, the ‘entitled’ and the ‘experts’, will be dealt a mighty blow in the coming years. Many will be knocked off their perch and we’ll see some spectacular falls from grace. Those who propagate such power bases will face unyielding challenge to their assumptions of entitlement as individuals occupy their own locus of control rather than surrendering it to those who’d have us believe they know best.

By contrast, those who choose to project power onto others and perpetuate a ‘poor me’ persona will face some intense and unremitting challenges to that world-view. In times of change such as these we must first take charge of our own attitude. Then – and only then – can we occupy the sovereignty that allows our world to heal.
Happy New Year everybody!

Timothy Glenn ~ Uranus in Taurus: Illusions Get Shattered

Timothy Glenn ~ Uranus in Taurus: Illusions Get Shattered

Timothy Glenn commented via email, “Of course volumes could be written about this… .” I agree, but I love his new article — just in time for tomorrow’s shift.

Uranus in Taurus: Illusions Get Shattered
by Timothy Glenn

We had our preview period for Uranus the Liberator transiting the sign of Taurus, from May 15 to November 6, 2018. He then retrograded back into Aries to tie up loose ends. Most earthlings have no clue about the war that has long been raging below the surface of public awareness, but Uranus in Aries forced a few key issues. Certain cabals had their death grip on the world broken.

However, there are many millions of us who not only can sense what is playing out on the world stage, but can recognize the clues and read the codes. The rest of the population will have the opportunity to catch up later.

And now is the time. On March 6, 2019 Uranus enters Taurus to play for keeps. You could batten down the hatches, buckle your seatbelt, or simply let go. The world will not be the same when Uranus begins its triple transit out of Taurus on July 7, 2025.

A Twilight Analogy

In the Twilight film series, Jacob chooses to play Uranus the Awakener for Charlie. Jacob is a Native American shapeshifter/werewolf, and Charlie is a bit of a muggle.

Before shifting into his wolf form, Jacob tells Charlie: “You are not living in the world you think you’re living in.” And then…poof…Charlie’s worldview is blown to smithereens.

This aptly analogizes the anticipated effects of Uranus expressing his unapologetic self in Taurus for the next several years – simply apocalyptic.

It may come as a true Uranian shock to some, but they will be shown what Carl Gustav Jung was talking about when he said: “People don’t have ideas. Ideas have people.”

Suggestion: don’t believe everything you think.

The Capricorn Context

While it is often helpful to refer to previous planetary transits through the various signs, the overall context is never the same. In this case, Uranus in Taurus will best be understood as a supporting role for the star of the current show: the Global Metamorphosis being influenced by Pluto in Capricorn.

Saturn, the ruler of Capricorn, is working its way through the middle of Capricorn this year, and will exactly conjunct Pluto in January of 2020. The “old guard” of the human world is being systematically dismantled, and will be replaced by user-friendly structures.

All of the delicate points in Capricorn that have been getting deconstructed by Saturn or bulldozed by Pluto, will be receiving a supportive trine from Uranus over the next six years or so for the rebuilding phase. A gigantic hand in the universe has clicked on “redo” for this world.

Time to Get Real

Uranus is on a mission. Human delusions will find themselves in the crosshairs of the Revelator, who will appear more like an assassin to the idealogues of the old control systems.

It has been amusing to watch economists trying to project coming trends for the global economic reset. For the most part, their analyses remain based on the rules of the old game that is being phased out of existence.

Here is a fundamental concept to help us understand our planetary shift: all governments, religions and economies are fictions. Even in the legal world, this is the actual designation. Governments only exist because people made them up – they’re fictions. Religions only exist because people made them up – they’re fictions. Economies only exist because people made them up – they’re fictions.

Anything in this world that fails to benefit the Earth and her inhabitants is up for review. Oppressive systems, fictional and otherwise, will be weighed and found wanting. Uranus is indeed on a mission, taking names and numbers.

Taurus involves our valuables, because it represents our values. We will see a massive reprioritizing by the human collective. Anything inauthentic will be cast into the cosmic recycle bin. Indeed, it’s time to get real.

A New Paradigm of Power

We have long been fed the illusion that in the top-down pyramid of control, the power lies at the top. But as usual, that perception is bass ackwards.

So many well-meaning folks are still surrendering much of their own divine creative power to the illusionists at the top of the pyramid – looking for the cause of problems to magically morph into the solution.

Uranus in Taurus will make it plain that the true power in this world rests at the base of the pyramid – the everyday grassroots folk-type humans, and especially the Earth herself.

A lot of what had provided the illusion of safety, security and stability in the old world will be swept away in the gale force winds of change. Comfort will be rezoned, and security blankets will fray and blow away – no more thumb sucking. It’s time for humanity to wake up, grow up, and stand up.

You Are the Creator

Your path through this adventure and all the rest of eternity is yours to create, yours to discover, yours to choose. Everything already exists within the infinite energy field of which we are all expressions. The essence of this Field is what we know as divine love.

Uranus in Taurus will encourage us to create from that infinite essence. Living in the Field of Infinite Possibilities, we can ascend into consciously choosing the possibilities we prefer to experience. Planet Earth is offering to serve as our launching pad into the Infinite. Uranus in Taurus will insist that she be treated with genuine divine love.

Sarah Varcas: March 2019 – April 2026 Uranus in Taurus: Thinking Outside a Broken Box

Energy Report, Uranus in Taurus, eco-spirituality, managing the mind, managing emotions, astrology report, sustainability, new moon in Pisces, Neptune in Pisces, Mercury retrograde, Chiron in Aries

Uranus enters Taurus on 6th March 2019 (UT). The planet of radical disruption, unpredictable events and liberating discontinuity in the zodiac sign known for its stubborn resistance to change promises to keep us all on our toes! Since May 2010 when Uranus first entered Aries, there’s been a certain amount of leeway available for the more impulsive among us. Aries is fast to act, quick to change, always ready to begin something new: if the first attempt didn’t work out let’s try this, then that. It doesn’t hang around for the long haul, trying to force blood from a stone. And it doesn’t hold our mistakes against us! Taurus, on the other hand, is intransigent, eager to stick on the same path no matter what. Uranus here is just as radical and disruptive as ever, but the consequences of impetuous decisions and ill-considered plans may stick around a whole lot longer.

While Uranus is in Taurus we must face both our resistance to change and the impact of reckless decisions made to side-step a difficult present. As such, Uranus’s journey through Taurus will teach us much about timing, discernment, patience and courage. It can help us address those intransigent things we never thought we’d change in a million years. But it will cut us loose from attachments (including treasured ones) too, if they help numb us to the evolutionary impulse of these troubled and transformational times. If we choose to stick with the familiar beyond its use-by date, life could get tricky for a while! Uranus wants us free – always – and favours the sudden wake-up call of swift and sometimes brutal change to make it so. If we resist this inexorable tide we cause ourselves more suffering. To the extent that we can have faith, let go and let those same tides wash us ashore on new terrain, we can awaken to – and even appreciate – the intrinsic wisdom at the heart of all life’s shocks and surprises.

In May 2018 I commented that Uranus’s journey through Taurus will signify ‘a period during which Mother Earth will push back like never before. We simply cannot afford to take her or her bounty for granted a moment longer. Every mouthful of food, each sip of water, every lungful of air is a blessing to be thankful for. By honouring an enduring commitment to caring for Our Mother and all her children of every form we dismantle, piece by piece, the patriarchal mind-set that equates aggression and domination with power, and love, compassion and generosity with weakness. The inevitable outcome of which has been the positioning of this planet as a resource to be exploited at every turn.’

Since then the North Node has entered the protective and maternal sign of Cancer), further emphasising the importance of perceiving all life as one in the deepest and most heartfelt way. With Uranus’s final arrival into Taurus where it now remains for seven years, the consequences of the choices we make in our relationship to mother nature and the material world will come ever thicker and faster.

But at a time when messages of doom and despair are rife, this is not one of them! Uranus can be our saviour, our liberator from past mistakes. It awakens a more radical knowing enabling us to recalibrate the future and create a sustainable world to replace a dysfunctional one. Taurus is the first earth sign in the zodiac. Here the initial creative spark penetrates matter and manifests its fruits on the material plane. In essence Taurus is us – you and me – as physical expressions of the divine spark which first exploded into life billions of years ago. As such, Uranus in Taurus will teach us just how radically we can transform who we are and what we do when we have a mind to.

The lessons of Taurus – how to create security and stability, how to meet physical needs and create lasting structures that enable growth and development – have been the core challenges of humanity for millennia. At times we’ve learnt those lessons better than others! The rise and fall of civilisations throughout human history attest to the many efforts to defy the forces of change that keep our ever-expanding universe in motion. People come and go as do ideas, communities, lifestyles, priorities, war, peace, religions and political movements. Nothing remains forever and in its deepest wisdom Taurus knows this, honouring the passage of time and change whilst nurturing those things which sustain us through unavoidable turmoil.

At a fear-based level Taurus fights change, resisting its unstoppable march and hunkering down to assert its right to stick with the familiar however damaging it may prove to be. Uranus’s journey through Taurus will brook no such resistance and those who tense up in the face of the new will be challenged to deeply let go and let god – whatever that means to them. And of course, at one level or other that’s all of us! Few live free of any fear, and we may be painfully aware that unassailable forces can overtake and rearrange a life in the blink of an eye. But Uranus demands our trust that upcoming changes will liberate in the long run, even if they seem only to threaten the security we’ve worked so hard to establish.

Uranus in Taurus doesn’t just think outside the box, it smashes it to smithereens from the inside knowing it’s already beyond repair. It reminds us we are responsible for our life in its entirety, hard though this is to swallow. It challenges dualistic notions of external causes creating internal strife, reminding us that we are so much greater than we believe ourselves to be; so powerful we can transmute anything – every thought, emotion and experience – when we commit deeply to the rigorous path of awakening. That said, we must find our own truth now, not cling to the truths of others around which folk gather for comfort and identity. We must forge our own path no matter how far it takes us from those with whom we’ve previously aligned.

This Uranus promises to destroy even the most stubborn attachments if they prevent us from embracing the truth of who we are. As such the next seven years will provide a precious and, at times, breathtaking opportunity to reimagine our future, seeding it in the present with renewed commitment to radically changing our priorities as necessary. Nothing’s off the table now: anything is possible. Anything. So be mindful of what you create and use Uranus as your guide into a fresh, new world.

In his book ‘The Black Butterfly: An Invitation to Radical Aliveness’, Richard Moss states that ‘The very forces that crush people can become profound radiance in an individual who no longer is resisting or attempting to modify life’. This teaching is central to our experience of Uranus in Taurus, whose energy may well manifest as apparently destructive forces which, when embraced, provide unlimited energy for the living of a radically reshaped life. Certainly this Uranus will at times express itself in difficult to handle ways, both individually and globally. Disruption of food chains and supplies may occur; our bovine sisters and brothers may resist their on-going exploitation, manifesting conditions that prevent or significantly interrupt its continuation; financial systems and institutions will struggle, as will crypto-currencies lauded as the new way to do business. Business itself will be forced by environmental, economic and other global factors to reshape its appearance, recalibrate its activity and reflect evermore deeply on its local and global impact. We don’t need an astrologer to tell us all this, right? Just look around and you can see it for yourself. But rest assured, whatever the economic forecast, the political climate, the widely held view, Uranus in Taurus will surprise us with exactly how things play out, where weak links occur and who comes out on top, only to be knocked off their perch once more for the whole cycle of rapid change to begin again. But perhaps most importantly of all, it will also surprise us with the solutions that arise and the potential of humankind of do what must be done to create a new world from the ashes of the old.

So where do we find stability and safety in times such as these? Preferably within, in the peace of a knowing heart, the insight of a sharp mind that refuses to swallow the received wisdom of the day, even that which comes from a more ‘enlightened’ source. As Uranus enters Taurus it aspects Mercury retrograde in the final degree of Pisces and Chiron in the first degree of Aries. A new moon conjunct Neptune in Pisces follows a few hours later. Here we see the demise of ‘received spiritual truths’ and the rectification that comes from reclaiming our own innate wisdom. It is time to trust our own deeper knowing, not look to others to tell us what to do or how our particular brand of awakening should look. If you turn to the planets for wisdom as I do, remember always: they are inside you, not external forces imposing their own particular obstacle or blessing. Every transit, moon cycle and eclipse is an external reflection of the forces of change and growth within each and every one of us. And don’t believe a word any astrologer says if it doesn’t resonate with your deepest and wisest self. Run everything you encounter through an open heart and a discerning mind – the best teachers of all.
And finally, a few questions worth contemplating as Uranus enters Taurus:

What triggers your impulsive side? How do you differentiate impulsive reactivity from the motivation born of authentic alignment with life’s creative flow?

What behaviours do you repeatedly indulge regardless of how poorly they’ve served you before?! What keeps you stuck in these old habits that die hard? Are you ready now to let them go once and for all?

How can you best support yourself and others through times of sudden and disruptive change?
How do you preserve what matters most and allow the rest to fall away when it must? How do you know what matters most in the first place?!

Does outer change always require an inner shift and vice versa?

How strongly are you identified with the material realm and what do you do when it falls away?
Are you seeking Truth with a capital ‘T’ or only the ‘truths’ that suit your personal agenda?
Are you prepared to make the sacrifices that Truth may demand? If not, what happens when you have to make them anyway?!

Uranus in Taurus….it’s going to be interesting, that’s for sure! No one will come out the other end untouched by its unassailable power to effect fundamental change at a personal and global level. The role we play in that change – through our words, thoughts and actions – is, as ever, up to us.
May we all choose well.

089.🌘🌑🌒 New Moon in Pisces 🔮 Mercury Goes retrograde and Uranus moves to Taurus.

March 6, 2019

New Moon in Pisces: March 6, 2019 These are mystical times we live in. Consider yourself the oracle. Mercury goes retrograde in Pisces with Neptune and Jupiter in influence. Neptune is like ink in water. Or the colors in a dancing fire. It's what helps tune you into the Cosmos. It is always in your periphery.

The New Moon on March 6, 2019 is a potent one.  Neptune is squaring Jupiter.Sagittarius. These two together can make big waves, like the unsinkable Titanic.

Mercury goes retrograde on the 5th -28th of March 2019. You will need sleep more than all else this month. Consider sleep healing. Clear communication is unlikely. But magical communication is for certain. Mysterious high-pitched frequencies are tuning you up to higher vibrations.

As with all Mercury retrograde focus on redoing, renewing, recollecting, releasing, resolving, removing. You get the idea: go over what you have. What circumstances does your inner child thrive in?

Kate Spreckley: Energy Report - May / June 2018 | Spirit Pathways

Energy Report - May / June 2018

by Kate Spreckley

It’s been a ‘dark night of the soul’ kind of time recently with many feeling overwhelmed, exhausted and frustrated. The fact is our experience of life is changing, reality is transforming and our perceptions are shifting. Consciousness is expanding as humanity rises to a new level of awareness and understanding.  How we view our lives, our relationship and our world is altering.  The structures of the past are collapsing and a deeper awareness of our purpose on this planet is emerging.  As a result, everything is changing and nothing is certain.
These changes are being supported by planet Uranus’ move into the astrological sign of Taurus.  This is a significant shift, which is calling for a new consciousness to develop around how we physically exist on the Earth. Uranus is the planet of radical revolution. Its move into Taurus means that over the next 7 and a half years we can expect a reformation, a reinvention and a radical revolution in how we live on the Earth, how we regard the Earth’s natural resources and how we value ourselves, each other and all of life. As a result, a whole range of new expressions and manifestations will begin to emerge to support the building of an entirely new reality. A new reality which supports nurtures and honours all of life.

Consequently, it is time that we come to respect the Earth, respect each other and respect ourselves enough to stop the abuse. Abuse comes in many different forms, verbal, emotional, physical and economic.  Greed, poverty, hunger and religious discriminations are subtler forms of abuse used to gain power of people, communities and countries.  Planetary abuse is seen in our addiction to oil, our consumption of all resources, pollution and waste.  Add the wars, unstable governments, corporate greed, crime and a lack of basic human rights to the mix and we can see the abuse on a global scale.

We are at a crucial time in our human history where our understanding of how nature evolves is changing.  We are moving from an unconscious evolutionary process, which is governed by natural selection, to a conscious evolutionary process, which is a choice.  It is a powerful choice of destruction or co-creation.  With this choice, we are given the power to destroy humanity or to participate in creating a future of infinite dimensions. Conscious evolution demands that we expand our perspective beyond our immediate needs and take into consideration the planet and all of life.

The total abuse of the Earth is no longer an option.  The harsh reality is that unless we change our ways and shift our focus to more sustainable ways of living humanity will not survive.  The abuse and disruption to the planet is leading to natural disasters. At the beginning of May we saw Kilauea Volcano in Hawaii erupting and a resulting earthquake which occurred close to the volcano. Kilauea Volcano is said to be the home of Pele, the Hawaiian goddess of fire. She is known as both a creator and a destroyer. Rather apt that she should erupt at this time as we shift realities with the choice of destruction or co-creation.

The cosmic energy flooding the planet is supporting this process and calling for the Earth’s energy to rise and meet the incoming Divine energies.  As a result, a revolution in how we live on the body of the planet is being initiated. This is generating an exciting flow of new inspiration and new ideas.  New social processes and structure are emerging to restore the natural environment.  Better educational, health and governmental systems are being created as a deep sense of life purpose awakens in many.  We are all being driven to explore and express the vital part we have to play in humanity’s evolution.

As you stabilise yourself in the new Earth reality you will come to know and understand that change must happen for new life to emerge and thrive. You will find meaning in your existence and recognise that you are here to make a difference, to serve humanity and the planet.  As a result, you will become more conscious of the active role you need to take in co-creating a new Earth reality.  As co-creator, you must work with the Divine Creator, the Earth and the cosmic forces of creation to create and manifest that which is best for all of life everywhere.

To change the outer manifestation of life a profound inner transformation needs to occur. This entails you exploring the essence of your nature and to remember that you are a microcosm of nature.  At your deepest core your soul, which is ether, inhabits the four worlds of water (emotions), Earth (physical world), air (mind) and fire (spirit).  It is these five elements that inextricably link humanity to the rest of creation.  Exploring these elemental forces and reawakening your connection to them reintroduces you to the cycles of the Earth’s evolution and to the sacredness of all life.  Correctly applying the creative force of these elements is key to effectively manifesting a new reality.

Currently the energetic nature of the elements is evolving. This evolutionary process is literally changing the molecular structure of the planet to restore balance.  As a result, our human molecular structure is changing creating an alchemical reaction, which is enabling you to fully embody your soul and ground its cosmic blueprint into the roots of the Earth.  This alchemical process is generating a powerful energetic creative force, which is allowing you to retrieve, from your soul blueprint, the wisdom, truth, understanding and revelations crucial to the building of the new Earth reality.  These valuable tools will enable you to manifest creations based on healthy values such as integrity, honour, respect, balance, consciousness and community. Thus, you are able to manifest a reality that is able to grow and meet your personal needs while also respecting the Earth and all who dwell upon her.

Everything is changing and everything is new.  Powerful, unexpected events are at work which ask you to look deeply at yourself, your life, your relationships and your world. Look beyond the cliffs edge and expand your horizons beyond what you are able to see and perceive. Align yourself with the events that are occurring and move into right action.  Explore your intuition and your interests.  Go where they lead you.  Trust in yourself and the changes you need to make and you will set into motion a chain of events which will create rewarding new life.

This is just the beginning. A new journey lies before you. A journey which is vital for the evolutionary growth of your soul. See this journey as a beautiful path of growth, transformation and evolution. Expect many beautiful rewards along the way with many new experiences and opportunities. Explore your new reality, your thoughts and your feelings. Discover who you are now and how to continue your Earth walk. You may find that a deeper understanding of your path and purpose begins to emerge as you become aware of the larger journey, the total journey of humanity. Take time, gather yourself and clarify your path.  Move with the incoming energies and learn to direct, build and weave together your new life using the natural forces of creation.

NorthPoint Journal Your guide to planetary energies for May 28 to June 3, 2018 By Pam Younghans

NorthPoint Journal: Your guide to planetary energies for
May 28 to June 3, 2018
By Pam Younghans

Highlighted Aspects this Week
MON: Sun quincunx Saturn
TUE: Full Moon 7:19 a.m. PDT (2:19 p.m. GMT), Mercury enters Gemini
WED: Mercury sextile Chiron
FRI: Mercury trine Mars, Venus trine Jupiter, Mercury sesquiquadrate Pluto
SAT: Venus trine Neptune, Mercury quincunx Saturn
SUN: Saturn opposite Pallas Athene, Pluto quincunx Ceres

THE LUNAR CYCLE
that began in spectacular fashion on May 15 reaches its climax in the Full Moon this week. The lunation perfects on Tuesday at 7:19 a.m. PDT (2:19 p.m. GMT), at 8°10′ Sagittarius.

All Full Moons represent a time of culmination, when a process that began with the New Moon bears fruit and projects come to fullness. At the same time, emotions are usually heightened as we work with the polarization of the Sun and Moon, complicating matters but helping us reach new levels of self-awareness.

THE MOON is aligned with the fixed star Antares at the time of the lunation, acting as a focusing lens for that star's energy. As a red star, Antares is fiery and dynamic, similar to Mars in its effects.

Most literature paints Antares in a rather negative light, giving the star reckless and destructive qualities. But as in all things astrological, we have a choice between the higher expression and lower expression of the influences we are offered.

This Full Moon can have great effect on our energy fields, with our choice being how we want to vibrate as its influence moves through us. We can choose to be combative, temperamental, and ruthless, or we can intentionally channel this energy and become more dynamically self-motivated in a positive, life-enhancing way.

IN HIS INTERPRETATION of the meaning of Antares, astrologer Roderick Kidston writes that:

"The issue with this star is not ill will, but the way it impels an urge for mastery. When this is directed toward self-mastery and the personal gifts cultivated as a result, it is very fine. If it stimulates unskillful behaviors and rouses the temptation to dominate or control, there can be problems.

"As with all of the great power stars, Antares asks you to be very self-aware and very mindful of how you treat other people. The Golden Rule does rule here! But with the reservoirs of strength available to you via Antares, you can afford to be generous, and a force for good."

OUR CHOICE with this Full Moon can be as simple and immediate as going for a run to release frustrations instead of venting our anger on others. Or, it can be a multi-layered and life-altering decision to utilize our innate assertiveness in a more productive way going forward.

There is strength in this Full Moon, once we harness and direct the more impulsive, instinctive side of our personalities. As the DarkStar Astrology website says about Antares:

"If this brave, fearless spirit is channeled in the right way, then its energy can help move mountains. All energies are important in our Universe, it's just a question of balance. Antares is needed when we get too compliant and accept others' modus operandi too readily. This red star shakes us out of our complacency."

If this "shaking us out of our complacency" sounds somewhat familiar, it's because it's also one of the effects we expect of Uranus' journey through Taurus. We're starting to see a major theme develop for our times, confirmed by more than one astrological event.

MOST OF THE OTHER planetary aspects this week fall into the category of shorter-term influences that contribute to our daily experience but do not strongly affect our greater trajectory.

For instance, Mercury represents how our thinking and communication processes are helped or hindered on a day-to-day level. When Mercury trines Chiron on Wednesday, we have opportunities to use the healing power of words. On Friday, a Mercury-Mars trine encourages us to put plans into action, but we can inadvertently provoke power struggles if we don't take others' opinions into account (Mercury sesquiquadrate Pluto). Saturday could be another challenging day for conveying a clear message, thanks to a Mercury-Saturn quincunx that brings up resistance from those who feel judged or controlled.

ON SUNDAY, two aspects occur that have a slightly stronger effect, filling in pieces of the bigger puzzle. The first is an opposition between Saturn and the asteroid Pallas Athene, which challenges us to be empathetic but also to maintain our boundaries.

The second aspect is a quincunx between Pluto and Ceres, who were adversaries in mythology and so often have different perspectives to bring to the table. With this aspect, attempts to control another's self-expression are met with strong resistance, and may even disintegrate into power struggles. The challenge is to let go of our attachments and expectations, and to understand that endings are the first step to a new beginning.

IF YOUR BIRTHDAY IS THIS WEEK: This year provides opportunities you to become more involved and invested in your own creative self-expression. You will find life much more satisfying if you live more in the moment and allow yourself to play, especially if you have the tendency to overthink decisions or to spend too much time in your head. At the same time, you will no doubt be taking relationships -- whether existing or prospective -- very seriously this year, and may make important decisions in this area.

In light,

Pam

Shanta Gabriel: Powerful Teachings and Support from the Trees for Changing Times

Powerful Teachings and Support from the Trees
for Changing Times

Download Your Free Meditation on a Tree (mp3)

A powerful astrological event occurred last week that will be affecting us for the next seven years
. The planet Uranus, called the Liberator, moved into comfort-loving Taurus. Uranus is best known for its ability to accelerate our evolution and assist us in breaking free from old patterns and outdated systems — usually in unexpected ways.

The last time that Uranus traveled through Taurus was from June 1934 to May 1942. Major foundational changes occurred at that time that directly affected our structures, money and connection with the Earth. Our experience with the Earth will continue to be challenged during these these earth-shaking changes.

Earth has her own version of the upheaval coming with change, as we are seeing on the Big Island of Hawaii right now. The Goddess (Pele) does not let anything stand in her way as she releases the pressure within the Earth to transform and rearrange the surface appearance of life itself.
When major agents of change are in play, as they will be for the next numbers of years, we need to find our own state of balance within our body and within our life. Nature holds a key to that equanimity. In fact, the trees can teach us many things.

In order to survive, what are a few of most powerful things we need on the Earth right now? We need more oxygen and the carbon dioxide to be removed from the air. Trees do that. We need more rain in certain areas to heal desertification — trees do that. We need to respect what the trees give us, allowing them to grow and spread healing energy on the Earth.

There is a deep level of support available from the trees. They are clear demonstrations of the value of being deeply rooted in the Earth to withstand the winds of change. The nutrients of the Earth can then be pulled up into their bodies. The trees also show us the power of Alignment as they open up to the nourishment within the Light. After they nourish themselves, they anchor that light into the Earth.

We have also been created for this deep experience of pure Alignment.  Here are four easy ways that you can be empowered by connection to a tree:

  1. Hug a tree and feel the deep resonance of strength in your solar plexus.
  2. Stand with your feet on the roots and let your powerful foot chakras receive grounding.
  3. Lean with your back against a tree and let the nourishing life force travel through your spine.
  4. Lay on the ground and not only observe the beautiful Heaven to Earth alignment of a tree, let yourself receive a deep experience of how that feels within your body.
In this powerful guided meditation, you will be walked through the teachings of the trees for a full experience within yourself that you can use to stay in equanimity in the midst of major change.
When we can expect big changes to occur, we can become more comfortable with the Unknown.

Those who experience airplane travel know the rules: Keep your seat belt fastened for a bumpy ride, and place your own oxygen mask on first before helping others.

The deep communion with the Earth that the trees offer will be of great assistance for us as the planetary evolution of consciousness continues to accelerate our lives.
