Last week was full of lovely unexpected surprises. I could really feel the shift towards the Cancer energy on Wednesday and the build up towards the New Moon on Thursday... towards the end of the week, I could also feel the intensity build towards the Mars/Pluto opposition which will be exact this week.

This week's headline items: Chiron's station intensifies on Monday night and it comes to a halt on Friday early morning, starting its 5-month retrograde phase. Wednesday is the time to really start taking actions on your New Moon intentions. As for Moon VoC phases this week, there will be three: Tuesday late afternoon/early evening (for 3.5 hours), Thursday late afternoon (10.5 hours), and Sunday morning (a little over 3.5 hours)

Monday (June 26th): the Moon remains in fun and attention-loving Leo all day. It will journey there until Tuesday evening. We may lack objectivity and struggle with backing down or compromising. We all love to be admired -- or at the very least acknowledged -- for our greatness :-)

So hand out some compliments -- let people know how proud you are of them, tell them how much you love them. Come from the heart in this and all other things... be honest and authentic, as best you can. Fun, games and romance are a big part of this energy as well. You might also enjoy spending time with little ones.

If there are no "outer children" around, how about getting in touch with your "inner child" -- it's definitely easier for the next two days. What are you most grateful for today? What would be heaps and heaps of fun? What would be so much fun, you let out a tiny squeak, just thinking of it?

Monday very early morning, a harmonious Mars/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 2:18am EDT. We started feeling this aspect build from last week Wednesday on; it will be strong until this Friday. This aspect brings the ability to endow what we feel passionate about with our creativity -- and connect it to a higher love.

Our masculine energies are able to connect to compassion and understanding. We can now release past issues; through loving ourselves, we can release emotional blockages and the lower vibrations of the masculine: aggression, domineering, destructiveness, me-first attitudes.

As this aspect is taking place in Cancer and Pisces, we are connecting to our goals and dreams from an emotional place that is deeply spiritual. We are able to let go of our fears and attachments and are able to have faith that everything will turn out just as it needs to.

Those of us who have their Ascendent (or personal planets) in 11-17 degrees of Cancer, Pisces or Scorpio will be touched in a particularly beautiful way by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Pisces (Mars is the ruler of Aries; Neptune rules Pisces).

Monday night, the Chiron station intensifies, as Chiron comes to a halt on Saturday (July 1st); we will feel effects of the station until July 13th. As mentioned in last week's forecast already, Chiron's energies are more exalted during this period.

Chiron is the wounded healer; in Pisces, our attention is guided towards our emotional and spiritual wounds. Chiron represents our inner insecurities, those self-conscious and wounded places. Chiron also represents the inner wound of abandonment and our need to "make it on our own".

We are invited to approach these wounds on a holistic level, to heal them such that others are healed thereby. This is accomplished very simply and naturally when we work with the true beauty and strength of this energy: Compassion. Having compassion for our own wounds heals them and allows healing compassion for the wounds we now see in others.

What emotional or spiritual sore spots could you acknowledge? What needs to heal? At a different level, this time might also see an increased emphasis on water as a global and environmental issue.

For those of you who want to have a better understanding of your personal healing journey, feel free to get the mp3-recording of my recent Chiron workshop: "Healing with Astrology" -- it is available for half price until July 30th. Click here for more info

Those of us with personal planets and points (ASC. or MC) in the following:26-29 degrees of Pisces, Virgo, Gemini, Sagittarius, or0 degrees of Aries, Libra, Cancer or Capricorn will feel this station more strongly.

Tuesday (June 27th): the Moon remains in fun and attention-loving Leo until 8:41pm EDT (see Monday for details).

Tuesday afternoon, a challenging Mercury/Jupiter aspect becomes exact at 2:21pm EDT. We started feeling this aspect build from Monday on; it will be strong until Wednesday. This aspect asks that we grow and evolve in the following areas: how we communicate our feelings and needs and how much we share with others. We may have to find creative solutions to communicate; we may have to learn about our thinking process and conditioning.

We want to share ourselves without limitation. We are thus inclined to exaggeration, often unintended -- and might struggle to transform ideas into reality. The upside to all this: we can be extraordinarily funny, interesting and creative.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 10-17 degrees of Cancer, Libra, Capricorn or Aries? If so, you will feel this aspect quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Sagittarius (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius).

Tuesday at 5:12pm EDT, we enter a 3.5-hour Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts until 8:41pm EDT. Use this intuitive time to have fun connecting from the heart. This could also be a great time to express our visions for the future.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Tuesday evening ahead of time ;-)

Tuesday evening, a harmonious Mercury/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 8:22pm EDT. We started feeling this aspect build from Monday on; it will be strong until Thursday. This aspect supports our imagination and the connection of our day-to-day mind to our intuition.

We can sense the thoughts and feelings of others; therefore we pay closer attention to how our words are landing. This leads to a heightened adaptability and sensitivity in our communications with others. Our appreciation for photography, the arts, poetry, fiction and spirituality is sharpened; we are also more open to metaphysical or spiritual concepts.

Do you have any of your personal planets or Ascendent in 11-17 degrees of Cancer, Pisces or Scorpio? If so, you will be most blessed by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Pisces (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Neptune rules Pisces).

Tuesday at 8:41pm EDT, the Moon moves into detail-oriented, practical Virgo, where it will journey until Friday very early morning; turning our focus toward the practical and wholesome. We are generous with our time/services and we love to help others. We also have a fondness for science and anything that makes sense in our world -- things and knowledge we can apply and use.

Health might come also into focus at this time. We notice the parts that make up the whole; this is a great time to see if our daily routines (eating, work, self-care, etc.) align with our long-term goals.

Wednesday (June 28th): the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo all day (see Tuesday evening for details).

Wednesday afternoona Mercury/Mars alignment in 15 degrees of Cancer becomes exact at 2:21pm EDT. We started feeling this aspect build from Tuesday on; it will be strong until Thursday night. This alignment might speed up our thinking (and possibly also our driving ;-)

We communicate with curiosity, enthusiasm and energy, especially on food, family, real-estate, self-care, our home, our past -- and things we are familiar with. We get to the very heart of a subject.

Something to be aware of: We may take things a little too personally. This defensiveness could make it challenging for others to engage in healthy dialogue with us. We may focus too much on emotional safety and get attached to being "right" over being happy. As best as you can, take care of yourself, honor your feelings and relax: All good things come to those who contemplate ;-)

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 12-19 degrees of Cancer, Capricorn, Libra or Aries? If so, you will feel this alignment quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Aries (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Mars rules Aries).

Wednesday evening, a somewhat challenging Venus/Saturn aspect becomes exact at 9:07pm EDT. We started feeling this aspect build from Tuesday on; it will be strong until Thursday. This aspect operates more on an internal level. We feel uneasy about something, sort of awkward, and need to make a choice; we must develop inner awareness to see what needs adjusting.

It can be hard to see what we are actually responsible for in relationships, so we sometimes take on unnecessary responsibilities, to ensure the relationships continue. We may ask ourselves: "Do people like me for myself, or for what I do for them?" If you're confused on this point (or any point), as best as you can, keep choosing the "better" alternative and make adjustments as necessary.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 22-25 degrees of Cancer or Sagittarius? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Capricorn (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn)

Wednesday all day, if you set Intentions Friday night, Saturday or Sunday of last week -- after the New Moon became exact -- today will be the best time to take relevant actions. If you wrote your intentions down, go back and take another look at what came through intuitively. If you didn’t write anything down, get quiet for a moment and check in with yourself: What actions are calling to me?

Thursday (June 29th): the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo all day (see Tuesday evening for details).

Thursday at 4:35pm EDT, we enter a 10.5-hour Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts until 3:02am EDT (Friday early morning). Use this intuitive time to create a healthy relationship with your body -- you may also want to take a look at what's important to you -- and improve daily routines that support you in honoring these things.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Thursday evening/night ahead of time ;-)

Thursday evening, a Mercury/Pluto opposition becomes exact at 8:36pm EDT. We started feeling this aspect build from Wednesday on; it will be strong until Saturday morning. This opposition might bring up some very deep issues that need to be discussed. Obsessive thinking, attempts to persuade, insistence on knowing the "truth" or exposing lies... these are all possibilities now.

We are capable of very hard work and exertion. In particular, we tend to pursue ideas with intensity, making this an excellent time for any kind of research or in-depth study. We may not be able to put our inner thoughts and experiences into words -- and maybe that's as well, given the darkness and intensity of those thoughts.

We may develop a great love of debate, but we need to be careful not to overpower others with our strong opinions, in our efforts to "convert" them -- in other words, treating debates or exchanges of opinion as battlegrounds.

Intense conversations and connections feel more "real" than superficial ones. We want to dig out the truth about our feelings and the world we've built. As best as you can, try not to obsess about what someone said to you, or what you've heard: We may takes things personally that were actually meant to empower us. Here's what it comes down to: Could you allow yourself to go deeper and tap into your true inner power?

As best as you can, take it one moment at a time; as best you can, resolve issues through cooperation and stay objective. When you notice that you are taking things personally and starting to get defensive, take a deep breath and ask yourself: Is this really about me? Or my past issues? Or their's? How can I ground myself in the here and now? What might change if I decided to focus on nurturing myself?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 15-21 degrees of Cancer, Capricorn, Aries or Libra? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Scorpio (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Pluto rules Scorpio)

Friday (June 30th) at 3:02am EDT, the Moon moves into harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra, whereit will journey until Sunday early afternoon. The energy of the Libra Moon helps us be naturally courteous and diplomatic; we are more polite at this time, as we seek the approval of others.

We very much want to maintain equal, fair relationships at this time, and are therefore open to making compromises and negotiating. These next two days are a great time for mediation -- but our need for peace and accompanying aversion to direct conflict could pull us to "yes" more easily than we might like.

We may also be able see both sides of the equation so well that we can't make decisions. As best as you can, find an inner balance with this and communicate what needs to be said with grace and charm -- even if it's "No" ;-) One last quick note: this is also a great time for anything to do with visual arts. This Moon placement also starts the build-up towards the first Quarter Moon (exact later this evening).

Friday at 8:51pm EDT, the first Quarter Moon in 9 degrees of Libra becomes exact. We started to feel this aspect from the moment the Moon entered Libra earlier today. The Moon in relationship-oriented, balance-seeking, cerebral Libra makes a challenging aspect to the Sun in protective, introverted, emotional Cancer.

We feel compelled to take action. Last week, on June 23rd, the New Moon in Cancer became exact: "Seeds" planted then are probably "sprouting" by now -- and making their first real contact with the outside world. This is therefore a time to stretch and grow -- and create some forward momentum. We may feel anxious or unusually busy.

As best as you can, go one breath at a time. Allow for changes, remain flexible (as much as possible), and find creative solutions for your day-to-day interactions with others.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in any of the following: 7-12 degrees of Libra, Cancer, Aries or Capricorn? If so, you will feel the effects of this first Quarter Moon more strongly than otherwise. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).

Saturday (July 1st): the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra all day (see Friday very early morning for details).

Saturday early morning, at 3:09am EDT, Chiron comes to a halt in almost 29 degrees of Pisces. As you may recall from earlier his week, Chiron is the wounded healer; in Pisces, it brings our attention towards our emotional and spiritual wounds. Watch out for any triggers that are connected to your past.

This is the beginning of Chiron's 5-month retrograde phase, that lasts until Dec.5th. Until then, we are getting a chance to connect to our wounds and insecurities on a more internal level.

We may need to put our emotional or spiritual wounds under the magnifying glass; while they are there, take a closer look at how you can bring compassion and understanding to them. What might you discover about those wounds, if you really looked? How could others benefit from your discoveries?

Do you have your Ascendant, your Career point or any of your personal planets in 23-29 degrees of Pisces, Gemini, Virgo or Sagittarius? If you do, you will probably feel the effects of this retrograde phase more than others.

Sunday (July 2nd):  the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra until 12:59pm EDT (see Friday very early morning for details).

Sunday morning, a somewhat challenging Mercury/Saturn aspectbecomes exact at 7:29am EDT. We started feeling this aspect build from Saturday morning on; it will be strong until Sunday night. This aspect operates internally: We feel uneasy about something, kind of awkward -- and we need to make a choice. This may sap our mental and physical energy, or lead us to reconsider some of our perspectives.

Ambitious goals often require more effort than we realized going in; this can impact our health if we don't pace ourselves. If we break projects down into small chunks -- actual action steps like "call the realtor" -- and tackle those simple achievable actions one at a time, we can move forward without overwhelm and with our health intact.

One way to do this is to look at a project and ask "How?" a few times in a row, until you get to something you can actually do.

For example, let's say you want to go on vacation. If you ask "How?", you might answer "I'll fly to Paris". Ask "How?" again, and you get "I'll book a ticket". The next "How?" gets you to "I'll look at my favorite travel app on my phone". This is a simple, easily achieved action step - you're done. Breaking complex projects down like this reduces mental and physical stress.

In general: Use your time wisely and develop your inner "observer" so you can see what needs adjusting :-)

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 22-24 degrees of Cancer or Sagittarius? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Capricorn (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Saturn rules Capricorn)

Also onSunday morning, a Mars/Pluto opposition becomes exact at 8:02am EDT. We started feeling this aspect build from Tuesday on; it will be strong until next week Thursday (July 6th). Our ambition and drive to succeed are incredibly strong now. We'll do almost anything to achieve our goals and have the energy to set about doing it.

That said, our basic drive and energy could ram up against emotionally charged questions of security (or deep insecurity) and power. We might not feel like dealing with some of the deeper issues that keep springing up, perhaps around our accomplishments in the world, or around family and home.

At the extremes, we could find ourselves driven by a compulsive need to achieve. Do your best to find the balance between home/family and career/long-term goals. Take care of your inner needs to accomplish real transformation in the outer world.

We also talked about this aspect in more detail in last week's New Moon video. Feel free to watch it, if you haven't seen it yet

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 15-21 degrees of Cancer, Capricorn, Aries or Libra? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Scorpio (Mars is the ruler of Aries; Pluto rules Scorpio)

Sunday at 9:16am EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that last for a little over 3.5 hours, until 12:59pm EDT. Use this intuitive time to balance your need for equal and harmonious connections with your drive toward personal passions and a healthy "self-relationship".

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Sunday late morning/early afternoon ahead of time ;-)

Sunday at 12:59pm EDT, the Moon moves into passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio, where it will journey until Tuesday night/Wednesday very early morning. We feel things deeply and have "X-Ray Vision" and "Bullshit-Smelling Abilities" ;-)

Emotional authenticity is extremely important to us at this time; anything less than 100% emotional honesty could be perceived as flat-out dishonest. Once we feel safe trusting someone, we want to merge with them, preferably forever... as long as our trust is never betrayed.

The Moon in Scorpio urges us to uncover our own power. This occurs by a process of subtraction -- it urges us to let go of whatever disempowers us. It's therefore an excellent time to look at "old" fears, limiting habits or emotional attachments, especially those stemming from past traumas.

Moon in Scorpio tends to run right over ambiguity -- it's "in or out", "with us or against us", "love me or leave me". It can therefore be stormy -- a cold winter storm, or a torrid tropical storm of passion, depending on how we "work" the energies :-)

Manipulation and paranoia are the lower vibrations of this aspect, so as best you can, be straightforward -- act in good faith and assume it in others. Best of all, be truly present to the fluctuations of your feelings -- no matter if they're "polite" or "timely". Feelings aren't facts, but they are information -- and heeding them will help you embrace all of who you are.

Know thyself -- and love thyself -- you shall be set free. Remember: Love connects us to the Power within; Fear causes "Force" to show up -- and that's ultimately what disempowers us and others.

A head's up for next Monday (July 3rd): the Moon remains in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio all day (see Sunday early afternoon for details). The Neptune station ends, and in the evening, an opportune Venus/Chiron aspectbecomes exact at 7:15pm EDT. We started feeling this aspect build from Sunday morning on; it will be strong until next week Wednesday. More about all the details in next week’s forecast ;-)
