MON: Mercury trine Saturn
WED: New Moon 5:16am PDT (12:16pm GMT)
THU: Mars sesquiquadrate Pluto
FRI: Venus enters Aries, Mercury conjunct Uranus
SUN: Saturn square Chiron

BE OPEN to new ideas and solutions this week. Mercury, agent of the logical mind, is aligned with Uranus, representing the higher mind, and both are in positive relationship with practical Saturn. These planetary connections help us access higher-level insights and understand how to use them to manage our everyday concerns.


Mercury is retrograde, however, so it's best to consider these new concepts as "works in progress" rather than completed blueprints ready for use. We'll want to capture everything that comes through and be willing to sit with the ideas for a while, to allow them to settle in and become more fully formed. Once Mercury goes direct on May 3, there will be more support for taking action on the insights we have received.


AT ITS HIGHEST POTENTIAL, this Mercury-Uranus alignment allows access to new understandings that can shift our awareness in profound ways. And, because Mercury is moving very slowly and will soon change direction, the two planets actually remain very close to each other through the second week of May. This makes the next three weeks very powerful for innovation and brainstorming.


But, a cautionary note: This influence is a bit like holding a live wire. If we have a tendency to nervousness or anxiety, it will be especially important to use calming techniques such as mindfulness or other meditations to maintain our equilibrium.


THE TAURUS NEW MOON occurs on Wednesday at 5:16am PDT (12:16pm GMT). The Sabian symbol for the lunation echoes the theme brought forward by the Mercury-Uranus alignment -- that of a link between the lower and higher minds:


"The woman of Samaria at the ancestral well: The meeting of the traditional past and of the creative spirit pointing to the future."


Astrologer Dane Rudhyar's explanation of this symbol clarifies how the link is made:


"The highest meets the lowest when this lowest is free from traditional bonds and open to love. The creative future descends first to that which has become chaos. An old order is never open to a new Revelation until it has accepted disorder in the name of that Power which subsumes all forms of order, i.e. Love. A NEW QUALITY OF BEING is revealed which renders the old patterns obsolete."


IT SEEMS EVIDENT that this new lunar cycle is highly energized to get us moving in new directions! And it is also clear that in order for the lowest to meet the highest, we must accept the current "chaos" and "disorder" and allow the energy of Love to guide us through.


The theme of love repeats through other planetary alignments in the New Moon chart. Venus and Chiron are conjunct in Pisces, calling us to integrate the divine and human aspects of love. This alignment provides the opportunity for new beginnings in relationships, if we can forgive and release what has been so that true healing may occur. And, Pluto is conjunct the asteroid Juno in Capricorn, empowering us to transform partnerships so that they truly work for both parties.


ONE MORE CLUE to the intentions of the new lunar cycle: the New Moon is aligned with the star Metallah (Alpha Trianguli), evoking the cosmic forces that can help us tap into our ability to problem-solve and instinctively respond to situations. Astrologer Roderick Kidston, in his book The Magic of the Stars, writes that with the energy of Metallah behind us, we are:


"... quick on the uptake, quick to grab hold of information, to make sense of it, and to retain and use it ... ease of thinking and easy manner are the result of deep inner confidence, a profound knowing that [we] know how to make things right."


Metallah's involvement in this new lunar cycle adds another dimension to what we already know will be a powerful time, given the effects of the Mercury-Uranus alignment.


ANOTHER important planetary aspect occurs this week -- the second Saturn-Chiron square is exact next Sunday. The first of these squares was on December 28 and the last will be on November 11, giving us a full year to work with this challenging influence.


The effects of this square are woven into many of the political and personal situations currently confronting us. It represents the battle between old, limiting belief systems (Saturn in Sagittarius) and the potential for spiritual healing (Chiron in Pisces) that will enable us to embody higher-vibrational qualities such as compassion, selflessness, and humility.


As we work with this influence, each of us must confront and transcend our own judgments, biases, and self-righteous attitudes. When we as individuals each rise to meet this challenge, we have the opportunity to make great progress in our understanding of Oneness, and to move our world a few steps closer to that ideal.


IF YOUR BIRTHDAY IS THIS WEEK: Healing on many levels is woven into the fabric of the coming year for you. You have made it through some very challenging times that may have caused you to question your beliefs and your faith. As you move forward now, the past falls like a discarded cloak gently behind you -- not forgotten, for it has deepened you and so must be honored for its gifts -- but you are ready now to open your heart again and to bring more of what you truly value into your life experience. Equinox was intense energetically, and while some calming winds are circulating to take the edge off, we’re about to head into a Lunar Eclipse Saturday at the Full Moon. Here are a few suggested preparations you can put in place now for a smoother ride.


Foresight and being conscious in real time are keys to finding your balance over the coming week. Foresight includes having awareness of big-picture themes and energies that are impacting you and others. Being conscious in real time translates into being awake and present to yourself, your surroundings, and other people.


Overview


Remember that challenging planetary Grand Cross we experienced last April? A series of other energy events since then – including the recent Uranus-Pluto lineup and Equinox during a total Solar Eclipse with a New Moon – are even more potent catalysts of revolutionary changes.


Nobody is exempt, and you wouldn’t want it any other way, for our world needs the massive overhaul now underway. We are alive now for nothing short of a miracle transformation, shifting our fear-based planet into one of love.


Humanity in fact hit a fork in the road years ago, though only a small percentage of the population noticed. As you know, we cannot continue living on our small planet as we are and have an inhabitable world for future generations.


What’s different now besides our being closer to a final tipping point? The fork in the road is now much more visible. It’s like we’re standing at the crossroads, lights flashing and we must take notice. More people like us are responding from their hearts – taking constructive peaceful actions and becoming the divine changemakers they were born to be.


Tips for Navigating Eclipse Energies


Here are some suggestions for making the most of this week’s beneficial energies and remedying challenges.


FIRST: The good news about Saturday’s Full Moon Eclipse is how it can illuminate what you need to see. This includes creative insights you have needed to get back on track and solutions for challenging relationship dilemmas. You may even connect the dots between your love for someone and a soul agreement you made in another life. Some insights like these in fact may have started percolating during the Equinox Eclipse – perhaps they didn’t register yet in your conscious awareness and this week things become crystal clear!


SECOND: If you have been on a healing journey to address a physical condition, this week’s energies may help shift something big. You could be intuitively guided to do DNA healing work, and something you’ve been working to resolve could change at a cellular level.


THIRD: Self-assessment, so important in an ongoing way to know needed course corrections, may get a push from this week’s energies. Consider, even without waiting for the push, what you want and need to change in your personal self-expression and self-care. Perhaps you could benefit from reassessing self-identity, too, inquiring within to know how much of your sense of self is authentic and what you unknowingly took on from your upbringing and role models. Do this self-assessment with kindness for optimal benefit.


FOURTH: Don’t be surprised if you are even more sensitive than usual this week. Most likely, you are naturally more sensitive than many around you. That’s not a bad thing. It means you are more aware. The key is managing your sensitivity to avoid reaction. Regularly during the week ask for spirit’s higher view of things. Tip: spirit works on a need to know basis. Get into the habit of inquiring within. Your question put out to the universe is a message that you want to know something. Trust that if you need to know something and you ask, an appropriate answer is on its way.


FIFTH: Throughout the world, this is a time of beginnings and endings. Cycles like we have now tend to put the spotlight on the unworkable things that need to end and the new directions more in alignment with where things are headed. This is for the planet and everyone around you. It is also very personal. Factor this into the equation over the next several days. Use insights you receive to make beneficial changes in your life.


Take a few moments now and consider the gratitude you have for being alive in these pivotal moments. This week apply that feeling of gratitude, along with kindness, as you respond to people and events. This will raise your frequency and take you out of the mundane long enough to experience the love that is naturally there.

This is the first week of a new winter in the northern hemisphere.

Uranus and the new moon on the Solstice have launched us in

new directions. We are hurtling through space and time.

Exposure therapy. Gratefully Stern Saturn is moving out of

relentlessly intense Scorpio and into philosophical Visionary

Sagittarius who has no time for the past.

"Ain't nobody got time for that!"

 

Right now Saturn is moving through the last critical degrees of

Scorpio after over two years travelling this intensely probing sign.

This is a penetrating energy, expressing the fullness of Scorpio.

You will be able to see behind the curtain. The veils of illusion

lift and you can glimpse the roots of everything that gets in your way.

 

The Scorpio energy is always itching to grow, evolve, transform.

Serious Saturn has been nose to the grindstone, cutting things loose,

situations or relationships that hold you back are likely gone now.

This energy is loyal yet willing to ruthlessly cut away that which

will make it fall.

 

I get the image of rock climbers all tied into each other. One of them

falls, threatening to pull the rest of them down, in an instant someone

has to decide to cut the rope on the one that has fallen and dangling

loose or risk all of them falling to their deaths. Can you imagine?

How dramatic, just  like Scorpio. Have you been called upon to

cut things loose in the last two year?

 

On December 23rd, 2014 PST Saturn will be moving into Sagittarius.

I have great expectations for this. My own moon is at the last critical

degrees of Scorpio and Saturn has been showing me all the grief on

the pla net. I want to curl up and cry and cry even though nothing is

wrong in my world. It's as though I feel everyone’s pain, and all the

suffering is so so sad, all this grief, we all have it somewhere."

The tears stream down your face when you lose something you can't

Replace", So it's all of ours to feel, we all lose something sometime.

But thank goodness we are almost done with all this terrible fear and

sadness. Just one aspect of human experience.

 

When Saturn moves to Sagittarius we will all feel the shift. We can

see the Future with no interest in looking back. We are all embarking

on a great new adventure. Our big thinking philosophies can get us far

now. New ideas and understandings are there to lift us up and out of

the dark.

 

Uranus too is helping to liberate us from that which is constricting our

freedom to grow. Watch for sudden flashes of brilliant insight. Sharp

turns in new directions make sense with this energy. Don't be afraid

of the new- it keeps us alive.

 

Much shifting is occurring now. More is going on behind the scenes

than in physical reality. It is still a time to withdraw from the outside

world and cater to your deeply personal needs. Shelter yourself.

You are Loving. You are Loved. You are Love.

This week holds a powerhouse of intense energy. You can feel it in the air.
Uranus planet of sudden awakening and Pluto the great transformer
are in a most difficult aspect with each other. These planets affect
us collectively as they work to push us through our evolution. Forward
thinking Jupiter starts to retrace its steps, asking you if your beliefs
about things are working. Value seeking Venus gets serious when
it shifts to Capricorn on the tenth. What is your five year plan?

Monday Jupiter starts a four-month retrograde period. Retrogrades
give us a chance to review the previous phase of our lives.
Retrospection is a fruitful activity while jovial Jupiter makes a point.
Now you could be given a great big opportunity to improve this area
of your life. Do you feel recognized? Are you putting yourself out there?
Have you found an outlet for your creativity? Are you letting your inner
child have some play time? Take care to eat well, not a ton, and care
for yourself and others. You will sail through this phase with a renewed
faith in life and a clearer understanding of the big picture.

Wednesday Venus makes the move to Capricorn. Our ambitious
pursuit of peace, abundance, Love and beauty will gain support.
Venus will help activate ambition to acquire what you value. It can
lend stability to your long-term projections. You can see a realistic
way to actively in a one foot in front of the other kind of way, get to
where you have always wanted to be.

A relationship that begins under this influence could be a contender
for the long haul, generations could be created. Capricorn is not a
fair-weather kind of spirit, after a slow start there is considerable
staying power. This next four months will support your ambitions
by putting you in touch with the right people at the right time. Be
prepared and proactive- prog ress is occurring very quickly. Focus
on business ventures and real estate. Find investors and partners
for your projects, we will all get a boost of wise Capricorns real life
know-how and the Venus taste for the finer things in life.

December 14, 2014 is the 6th out of seven exact squares between
Uranus and Pluto. This is powerful. The energy is a swift and liberating
one. If you are on track in life you can expect a massive download of
energy to bolster your progress. If heading in wrong directions, or worse,
no direction, you can expect life to let you know, in no uncertain terms.
You will get whatever messages are needed now. Stay grounded in
your body today, get physical, dance, jump, stamp your feet, drum,
sing, twirl, dig. Celebrate your place on the planet. Fully embody your
body. Get out of your head and into your heart. This will ensure that
the energy can find grounding in you. We must be present, body,
mind and spirit. Are you?

Life is moving at a hectic pace, integration takes awareness now.

Master of illusions Neptune is heading forward after months in reverse,
certain clarity about unclear things will occur now. And sweet Venus,
ruler of what we value, just left the deep dark depths of Scorpio for
upbeat philosopher Sagittarius. The New Moon on Saturday is also
in Sagittarius-The truth is itching to be known, moreover, it must be
spoken. Keep in mind the truth is subjective. There are as many truths
as there are people on earth.


There is opportunity to make some serious real world progress this
week. The Sun in serious Scorpio is sharp and certain as it crosses
over stately Saturn. I used to fear Saturn. Most especially during my
Saturn Return. It stirred all my pushed away feelings of fear and
worthlessness. But Saturn keeps us real and grounded and capable.
If you harness the power it offers for order and discipline you can be
the king of the world.


This week will offer a chance to get your ducks in a row and move forward,
carefully, with great purpose.  If you find yourself feeling sad and alone,
the less productive side of Saturn, sit with it. Breathe into the feeling and
then exhale it out of your system.  We need to release things now. Once
and for all, let it go. Now you know what you won't put up with. You don't
need to settle for crumbs. You may have been raised on crumbs, but you
don't have to keep choosing people and situations that only have crumbs
to offer. Balance comes from giving and receiving in equal measure- make
sure this is true in your relationships. Unplugging from unhealthy situations
will result in a rapid shift in reality. Simple and quick, yet profound and never
 to be the same again. Hip hip hooray! Rip off that band-aid.


Neptune will be squaring Venus on Thursday. It's a deep and mysterious day. 
Things are not clear, or perhaps things that were never clear become clearer
than you are ready for. With Neptune there is illusion and possibly deception.
Are you fooling yourself about the nature of a relationship in your life? Are you
fooling someone else?  Forthright Venus in Sagittarius cringes at the wishy
washy shimmery story Neptune is offering up. But, this too shall pass within
38 hours. Don't make any commitments- a drunken Vegas wedding will be
regretted. Stay away from anything mood altering to sail smoothly through
this confusing mix of energy.


The adventurous Sagittarius New Moon is on Saturday the 22nd, 2014, at
4:32 am PST. Venus is snuggled into this configuration offering effortless
authenticity. This is what we all long for-Just to be our unarranged selves.
Then you can properly align with like minded companions. There is a sense
of expansion and knowing settling over your life. Use the time to connect
with nature and be open to adventure.


There is risk of saying things you wish you hadn't.  Remember not everyone
is worth your honesty. Be discerning with your truth. If you have an idea to
promote, now is the time. Offer them up. But keep the "I told you so" tone
out of your voice- no one responds well to that.


New Moons are wonderful for seeding new directions. What would you like
to see manifest in two weeks?  Stretch yourself, Jupiter is infusing us all
with a desire to expand our horizons. Where could you go? What could
you see? What do you know that the rest of the world needs to know too? 
Get it out there. Get out there.  Write down your intentions on Saturday,
be sure to include: adventure, health, wealth and all the answers to every
question you ever had. Think Big! Bigger!  We are only limited by our own
imaginations. This Jupiter ruled new moon should lift the lid on any limitations
you've been stuck under.  Things are getting lighter now.  Lik e a great big
breath of fresh clean air- Enjoy!
