Are there particular exercises we can use this month to harness the energy?
Most of the time this month will be spent in the pulling back period, and the tension has been building since August. The energy has been slowing and stalling. During September you will find that tempers will be flaring and people will be making mistakes or making rash decisions.
It will serve you to cultivate profound patience. Develop a way to consistently find a sense of quiet within yourself as you embrace and learn from what is happening. You will find yourself to be a calm in the center of the storm. You will find yourself able to sidestep the conflicts that may be arising all around you. You will be able to watch and learn, rather than jump in and get hurt in the conflicts and the misunderstandings that will be happening throughout the month.
Any form of mindful observation will be beneficial this month. Explore activities that enable you to sit back and watch what is happening with a sense of Love. It could be as simple as remembering to take three deep breaths or remembering to think before you speak. This might be a wonderful time to engage in something like mindfulness meditation. Anything that enables you to be more observant of yourself and your own thought patterns, as well as observant of those around you, will be incredibly useful for you.
It will also be useful for you to honor the equinox. This is always a time of shifting on the planet, but especially this year there is such a distinct energetic shift that will affect all of you deeply. Take a few days during the week of the equinox to explore your situation from a new perspective. Try journaling, speaking with good friends, asking for advice, and considering new questions. Try to look at your situation from new angles. Ask friends what they would do in your situation. It is a wonderful time to seek advice, and to strategically plan for your goals and dreams in the future.
During the week of the equinox, for several days, is the moment when you take aim before the release. Take aim in your life. Look at your goals, plan toward your goals, aim for where you want to be later in your life and you will find that the springing energy will get you so much further ahead if you will do this around the equinox...
What energy and experiences can we expect in September 2015?
The energy this month is like a slingshot or a bow-and-arrow. The first part of the month involves tension building and a feeling that you are being pulled back. The second part of the month occurs as a sudden springing forward or a sudden release.
The release will happen around the time of the equinox. There is a four or five day window during which the energy will shift and things will start to move forward rapidly. This tension and release can be very beneficial, just as a bow-and-arrow or a slingshot can be a beneficial tool. But just as these tools can be destructive, the release can also be difficult.
The key for using this release will be to honor both the process of pulling back and the process of release. If you are not able to honor the resistance and be patient with the pulling back, then you will find this to be a frustrating and even painful time. If you do not prepare and aim carefully before the springing forward occurs, then you may find that you misfire or that you end up moving in a direction you did not want to move in at the end of the month.
Another key to using the energy this month is mindfulness. Be mindful and accepting of whatever you may be experiencing. Do your best to practice being in the present moment and to honor what is happening. Even if you wish things were different, even if you hope things will change later -- try to honor what is happening in any given moment. Try to learn from what is happening even if it is uncomfortable or painful. If you will try to walk with grace in each moment and each day this month, you will be able to take advantage of the tension and the pulling back.
