Highlighted Aspects This Week MON: Venus sesquiquadrate Uranus, New Moon 5:05pm PDT TUE: Mercury sextile Saturn, Mercury opposite Vesta, Saturn trine Vesta THU: Sun sesquiquadrate Neptune, Mars trine Pluto FRI: Venus opposite Neptune SAT: Mars conjunct Jupiter SUN: Mercury quincunx Neptune OUR NEW MOON on Monday is in Libra, the sign known for its desire for -- and ability to create -- balance, harmony, and cooperative relationships. These qualities are an integral part of a healthy life, and they are vital ingredient in our recipe for a successful journey through the next four weeks. As the Sun and Moon align for the New Moon, they closely oppose Uranus and also square Pluto. This means -- yes, you guessed it -- we're again engaging some of the lingering effects of the Uranus-Pluto square, which has been working with us for the past four years to transform our lives and expand our consciousness. URANUS is the dominant third party in the New Moon chart, however. Any time Uranus is strongly involved in a lunar cycle, we can expect unusual or unpredicted developments, events that keep us flexible and that serve to liberate us from situations that have been too restrictive or have kept us from living authentically. Uranus is also associated with sudden insights (those "aha" moments), advancements in consciousness, and breakthroughs (or breakdowns) that assist our expansion and evolution. This lunar cycle is the time to make important changes in our approach to life and to find new balance through partnering with a higher-consciousness aspect of our own being -- a part of Self that has been awaiting our attention and invitation. OUR DEDICATION to this process of integration is assisted this week through aspects involving Mercury, Saturn, and the asteroid Vesta. Included in the New Moon chart, and exact on Tuesday are:
Before we take action, however, we will need to be very sure of our intended trajectory. The Mars-Pluto aspect is a bit like hooking a hose to a fire hydrant and opening the valve all the way, but we have challenging Neptune aspects on Thursday and Friday that could interfere with our ability to see where to aim the water. We may be overly idealistic, or perhaps not fully understand all of the variables, especially if other people are involved. CLARITY is key throughout the weekend, too, since Mars and Jupiter conjoin on Saturday. This alignment occurs once every two years, and helps us align our actions (Mars) with our beliefs (Jupiter). With both planets now in results-oriented Virgo, the urge to DO something is heightened, so it will be wise to consider possible outcomes and alternatives before acting. On the other hand, if we've been waiting for an extra boost of enthusiasm and courage, the Mars-Jupiter alignment can certainly provide the caffeine source that gets us off the couch and out the door. Still, with a Mercury-Neptune quincunx early Sunday morning, we want to make sure we know all the facts before committing to a course of action. http://www.northpointastrology.com/northpoint-journal.html Copyright Pam Younghans 2015.
