IT'S NOT OVER! A NEW FIRE HAS BEEN LIT
The day after the prayer, we witnessed thousands of
Veterans coming to Standing Rock to ask for forgiveness from our
indigenous peoples and pledge to stand for our water, our earth and to
shield the Water Protectors in prayer. Follwing that powerful weekend,
with the arrival of an intense winter storm, the Standing Rock Souix
Tribe asked that those not prepared to stand strong though the
freezing temperatures return home.
For the Indigenous leaders and Water Protectors that
remain a new camp has formed and a new fire has been lit, called Oceti
Oyate, “All People’s Fire.” While the camp winterizes, we are listening
deeply for ways we continue to support the needs on the ground and we
are inspired to support the emergence of the Indigenous Youth leading
this prayer forward and calling on the world to join this movement and
defund DAPL to stop this black snake.
The Indigenous Youth have organized actions around the
country for people to stop supporting the banks who are funding DAPL.
We want to support the youth in brining the Indigenous Leaders from
around the world together with advocates, actors, musicians, spiritual
activists, environmental organizations, scientists, educators and
prayerful people all coming forward wanting to support Standing Rock by
organizing a global synchronized prayer action on January 21st.
This prayer will
be broadcast live from Standing Rock with our global community joining
thousands around the country as they take this prayer to the banks and
ask that they choose Water over Oil and invest in the future of our
Planet.
On this day of Winter Solstice, December 21st, 2016 we
ask that you embrace the light and in your prayer and join us as we
move forward empowering the world to choose water and celebrate life.
Winter Solstice is a time when nature itself is inviting us to really
accept ourselves, so we can grow and cleanse and prepare for personal
growth and we are so thankful to grow this prayer with you.
