Hillory Skott: Weekly Forecast for February 27-March 5, 2017
Weekly Forecast for February 27-March 5, 2017
~ contributed by Hillory Skott
We are feeling the effects of yesterdays New Moon Solar
Eclipse in Pisces. We are in a powerfully creative window
of time so set your intentions for this next phase of your life.
Don't be a bobbing boat- choose your course and aim for
your destination. Your clarity may just appear in the fog.
Our logic is at a loss- we must use our inner kn owing to
happily progress. A lot has changed in the past few weeks,
the pull to keep shedding old skin is strong and unrelenting.
On Wednesday Neptune is fusing with the Sun in Pisces.
Mental Mercury is here too- A stellium of planets all lined
up in a row. Our senses are heightened, our awareness is
crossing time and space-boundless, untethered. It can be
disorienting or clarifying. I recommend connecting yourself
with Solar light. Our purpose can be on purpose. There is a
higher path, one with Joy, Love, Abundance, Clarity and so
much Peace and Beauty.
Though a path like this is within our reach it's tricky to separate
yourself from the past, it's like we are programmed to loop. Like
a bunch of dumb asses endlessly repeating. But we have the
blueprint to the higher path encoded within us. We each left
ourselves the game plan in our birth chart. There is Light inside
tirelessly leading you to your highest ideals. Dust yourself off and
get going.
Thursday boundless Jupiter in Libra is in opposition to rebel
Uranus in Aries-they seek freedom and Justice, truth and
evolution. It's like being pulled in different directions. One
part of you is thinking about what you want. Just You.
The other part is concerned about expanding in the realm
of relationships. Where you have to think about what 'not
you' wants. Very different ag endas of equal importance.
You are feeling like it has to be either/or, instead know it
can be this and that.
Saturday Venus goes retrograde until mid April. Here is
a chance to retrace steps- refocus on what brings Value
to your life. Are you focused on the material world? We
often chase what we think will bring value only to realize
there is no value in the new car, job, mate. We need to
get real with ourselves. The more you Love yourself the
more likely you will align with a sacred partner.
Past relationships may resurface now, helping you to
understand what went wrong. It's best to go forward with
clarity. You can gain a deeper understanding of what is
holding you back. Spontaneous fated connections are
possible too. Be careful not to over commit until Venus
is direct again mid- April. Bide your time- observe.
Could be magic- might be a lesson that needs le arning.
Go forward with eyes wide open.
This week make sure to be loving and kind to yourself.
Being human is a brave act. Give yourself some credit,
give yourself some love. Maybe some dark chocolate too.
Keep breathing through all this swirling change. Raise
yourself up to the next level. There is Love, Light and
Help all around you.

Oh Those NarciPaths – Shahida’s “20 Narci Tactics” (via Sophia's Children)
Wow! I've never seen this type of person (malignant narcissists, sociopaths and psychopaths) called out so specifically and accurately as in this list of modus operandi traits you may recognize from some of your interactions with family, "friends" or acquaintances. Good to know, so you can recognize what's happening before the worst "psychic whacks" occur, so you can disengage and save yourself a lot of unnecessary grief. ~PB
Oh Those NarciPaths – Shahida’s “20 Narci Tactics”
I’d usually just reblog this one, but the reblog format is funky. So I’m just going to say this:
Shahida Arabi, via her Self-Care Haven blog, recently posted an excellent summary of 20 often-used Bully and NarciPath tactics.
I shared Shahida’s “Five Ways Narcissists Get In Your Head” post some time ago, and mentioned her blog in my “Withholding as a Manipulation Tactic” post for the Empaths & Sensitives ‘readers favorite’ series (which spotlights other common tactics, like ‘leveling’, ‘off-loading’ and others as well).
The point isn’t to shame and blame — ’nuffa that going on — but to recognize the tactics and patterns so we can more easily step outside of them and respond rather than react from a place of awareness and greater resourcefulness.
That can be tall practice, but it’s worthwhile … particularly as we see the Bully Narcipath archetype in its full, gnarly expression pretty often these days.
For that, being the healing antidote is one form of subtle activism (and it of course informs other types of more traditional, less subtle action as well).
So take a look at Shahida’s latest post:
Thanks, Shahida — as we know, shining the spotlight on these helps us to walk The Beauty Way of Relating, and be more compassionate, graceful, and skillful.
Big Love,
Jamie

16 Things You’ll Notice When You’re In The Presence Of An Empath by Raven Fon, Uni Soul Theory | In5D
16 Things You’ll Notice When You’re In The Presence Of An Empath
by Raven Fon, Uni Soul Theory In5D
February 28, 2017 Spiritual Awakening
“Yes, we notice a lot of what goes on around us- but you’ll notice some things about us too.”
Can you remember an instance when someone, a complete stranger, poured their heart out to you? It probably happened without warning, and the emotions they were feeling were coursing through your heart as well.
There is something magnetic about an empath; they have a force that draws other’s towards them. These people who open up to you, they don’t know why they do it- and it doesn’t matter. We give them comfort and reassurance, and after riding the roller-coaster with them, we do our best to help them find peace.
I can’t count how many experiences I have had like that- what about you?
Author of Non-Violent Communication, Marshall Rosenberg, gives us a concise definition of what empathy really is:
“In empathy, you don’t speak at all. You speak with the eyes. You speak with the body. If you say any words at all, it’s because you are not sure you are with the person. So you may say some words. But the words are not empathy. Empathy is when the other person feels the connection to with what’s alive in you.”
So, yes, we notice a lot of what goes on around us- but you’ll notice some things about us too.
16 Signs You’re In The Presence Of An Empath
1. We are often told we’re “too sensitive” or “too emotional.”
Empaths aren’t “too” this or that. What others describe as “over-feeling” is really just being in-touch with emotions- theirs and yours.
2. We really dislike being lied to.
It barely takes a glance in your direction and we know you’re lying. The majority of people hate being lied to, but it really sucks for an empath. It literally makes our skin feel gross and we feel that disgust every time we are around them.
3. Negative images directly affect us.
Empaths find it nearly impossible to “unfeel” something. The news? Stories of violence and heartbreak on social media? We avoid them like the plague. We are well aware of the pain in the world, and we feel it daily.
4. We feel overwhelmed by crowds.
Empaths encompass every personality type. We are introverts, extroverts, and ambiverts. Yet, even the most outgoing of us can become easily overwhelmed in crowds. We absorb everyone’s feeling and energies…it’s exhausting, to say the least.
5. We find happiness through healing.
Empaths are there to help; we try to guide you towards healing. Just like with all of our advice, it only helps if you actually implement it in your life.
6. We react differently to stimulants and medications.
Whether it is coffee or tea, soda or an energy drink, anything containing caffeine tends to make us feel more anxious or agitated than others. Also, we do our best to avoid prescription medication as much as possible due to the numerous, and unpleasant, side effects we experience.
7. We can’t be anyone except us.
If you’re looking for honesty and a true friendship, empaths are who you should be searching for (but we’ll likely find you first). We have grown into who we are, and we embrace who we are becoming. Usually, it is others who have an issue with our sensitivity and honest nature.
8. We know what you are going through because we are going through it with you.
If you’re not feeling well, are feeling overwhelming sadness and depression, or if you’re agitated, we are going through all of those things with you. We’re connected to those we care about, and we care about everyone.
9. We have a special bond with animals.
Empaths don’t ‘own’ animals, and we don’t have pets. We have family members. Looking at animals in the wild, we see a perfect and pure soul…a love incapable of hate. We have conversations with them as you would anyone else, and sometimes, we even get a response.
10. We are usually tired, exhausted, and worn out.
We deal with more than just our personal emotions and mental drains, we deal with everyone else’s as well. Every day we are around other people, we absorb, process, and release what those around us are experiencing. And those are the lucky ones who have figured out how to process so they can release, instead of holding onto everything until they can no longer function.
11. If you ask for our advice, please take it.
We listen to every word you say, we put ourselves in your shoes, and we deliver heartfelt advice. Is it too much to ask for you to listen to it? The thing is, we know what we are talking about- and you do too. In fact, we are telling you the exact same thing that you know you should do. We know it. You know it. So, and I mean this in the nicest way possible, either take the advice or stop asking because it wears on our patience.
12. We become distracted rather easily.
Maybe it’s because of our heightened sensitivity to everyone and everything around us, but empaths tend to lose focus easily and become distracted. There is a bright side to this: empaths notice and appreciate all the little things most people never take the time to notice.
13. We genuinely detest narcissism.
Empaths can spot a narcissist a mile away, and that’s about as close as we like to get to one.
14. We are hyper-sensitive to certain sounds.
A certain pitch, a slight buzz, and loud noises can really get to us. However, it isn’t just sounds- we are also sensitive to textures, fabrics, and bright lights as well. We experience the polar opposite too! Gentle sounds, soft caresses, and delicate tastes are noticed just as intensely, but in a pleasing manner.
15. We are excellent listeners.
Go on, tell us everything about your life from the seemingly insignificant, to the drastically transformative. We will do more than listen- we will embark on that journey along side you, and experience every high and low found within. On top of that, you never have to worry about any judgment on our part; we never want to hurt, only to help.
16. Electronics act up around us.
I know this sounds strange to those who have not experienced it, but it happens. We get shocked by touching the same things you normally do, and electronic equipment acts strange around us. Computers glitch, cars stall, phones die- if it has a current or a charge, it is probably going to affect us or be affected by us.
For those of you who have read this article and telling yourself, “Finally! I have a word for all of this and it makes sense now!” I am glad you have gained some insight into your gift. And that is exactly what it is- a gift. It is something that we can learn from, and share with others. Remember to make time for yourself, where your only focus is you. Even just 5 minutes a day of silence and relaxed breathing can make a world of difference when it comes to handling emotional stress- and that’s good advice for everyone, not just empaths.

Eclipsed by the Light and Dark by Jennifer Hoffman | Enlightening Life
Eclipses are portals between the past and the future that show us simultaneously where we have been and the possibility of a new potential. That portal to the future is brief but compelling and when the eclipse passes, we have to decide whether we are going to repeat the past and what we know, or release it for the new and unknown. The glimpse of the future is surrounded in mystery, especially with Neptune in Pisces now, but it is a chance for us to explore new potentials that is not always a smooth flow of information. And eclipse energies usually last for 6 months or more, although the long-term effects are not always as strong as the actual eclipse. We can make the most of eclipse energy if we are flexible and balance our expectations with our intention.
We have had some potent eclipses in February, especially the one on February 26, which was at the same degree, at 8 degree of Pisces, of one on February 26, 1998 and at a degree that has historically been a catalyst for global change, although not always in a beneficial way. What makes this week’s eclipse special is that for the first time since 1847 Neptune is in Pisces, and it is joined by Mercury, the planet that rules our karmic cycles, and that sheds a whole different light on this eclipse. This eclipse features a balance of planets in Aries, the first sign of the zodiac, and Pisces, the last sign of the zodiac, a clarion call for endings and beginnings. With its conjunct to our karmic south node, karma, karmic cycles, soul groups, soul promises, and our karmic journey is called up for review. Since 2004, I have been writing that this is the lifetime in which we have come to end karma and that’s why our lives have been so challenging. This eclipse and its endpoint at the end of this particular 19 year cycle, opens the portal so we can complete that mission.
Also, Mars is activating the Uranus/Pluto square of 2012 to 2015, the current Uranus/Eris conjunction and opposing Jupiter in Libra. With Mars in Aries and Neptune in Pisces, we have the alpha and omega in place; human and divine are ready for congruent, inspired action. But not the free flowing action that we think our divinity brings us to, this action is choppier, not very free flowing, and can feel like being in a strobe light.
Do you remember strobe lights? They made movement look choppy and unpredictable, where you saw someone in one place and then when you looked again they were in another place. That’s what the eclipse period can feel like. Sudden starts and stops, turnarounds, unexpected events and endings that can make you feel like the bottom dropped out of your world, with beginnings that either appear very far off or too close for comfort. Discomfort is one way to describe eclipse periods and cycles. But they do make us aware of everything and bring everything to light by first showing us the dark.
In a solar eclipse the Moon covers the Sun; in a lunar eclipse the Sun covers the Moon and in both we have the two lights in the sky, the Sun and the Moon, overshadowing each other. Eclipses also move in 19 year cycles, and the February 26, 2017 eclipse was the end of a 19 year Pisces/Virgo cycle that also encompassed the beginning and end of the 12 year spiritual awakening cycle which began in 2003 with Jupiter in Virgo, and ended in September 2016 when Jupiter moved into Libra.
A lot has happened in this 19 year period and we’re at the end of that cycle so we can begin a new one. We have completed the Martyred Healer and Christ Consciousness paradigm, with the end of the Virgo/Pisces eclipse cycle to enter the Empowered Master and Christed Awareness paradigm, ushered in by the Leo/Aquarius eclipse cycle.
Eclipses can be very difficult, especially if they touch a natal planet or strongly aspect the natal chart. But overall, they are cosmic awakeners and happen when we need to consider new directions and new potentials, impacting us individually and collectively. Because they affect the ‘lights’, they impact everyone in some way, usually by turning off the light in one part of our life while turning on the light somewhere else.
Here are some ways to survive eclipse energies and make the best of the enlightened darkness, new potentials, and energy shifts.
Try to avoid judging any situation in the short term. Like a Mercury retrograde, eclipses are an invitation to re-consider, re-lease, re-do, and re-vision, and rest. If something isn’t working, don’t push it. On the other hand, if new opportunities suddenly arise, explore them without putting all of your eggs in that basket. Eclipse energies last 6 months or more, so a lot of back and forth movement can happen during that time.
Self judgment is not helpful so whatever comes up from the past, let it go without getting out the judgment microscope. Know that if something from the past does come up it is tied to something new in the future and will involve a choice to change or not, which you can’t see yet.

Avoid expectations that the eclipse will be good or bad (which are also judgments). A bad or difficult event may happen which shows you what you can release or transform so you can allow yourself to have something far more joyful and fulfilling.
If you stay in your intention for the energy you want in your life, such as peace, joy, love, and prosperity, the eclipse will open the way for those energies to enter, usually by pointing out all of the blocks that stand in the way of new energy.
This is one time to take the long view and be the observer, as eclipses act as a mirror of our emotional energy. We use our emotions to filter energy and those filters get clogged with our past trauma, which eclipses can help us clear up. First, they show us what the mirror is reflecting and then ask us to consider alternatives. While a great outcome is possible during a 6 month eclipse cycle, the energy is not smooth, so the outcome is possible once we release our limitations and that is generally what shows up first. Avoid judgments along the way and stay in the intention you want for your life that will help you make the best use of the nature of eclipses, which opens and closes portals of opportunity and forces some emotional and energetic housekeeping on us, all for the purpose of moving into greater aspects of our being.
Eclipse energy stays in force for 6 months or longer, so we’ll be feeling the February 2017 eclipses until August, when the next set of eclipses occurs. The August 21 eclipse is of particular interest to anyone born in the Pluto in late Leo/early Virgo generations, from 1955 to 1963, as it is exactly conjunct your natal Pluto, so expect some interesting events for this generation. These could include a life transformation such as starting a business, moving, divorcing, breaking ties with family or friends, or similar life events. Anything you have been putting off in the way of life transformation could be moved forward then. And the February eclipse cycle will pave the way for those events, so pay attention to what happens during these next few months.
The Universe blesses us with new potentials for joy, love, peace, and prosperity which takes us out of our comfort zone, where we aren’t always comfortable but we’re surrounded by what we know and what is familiar, into new territory. As long as we’re open to change, stay fluid with how our outcomes are fulfilled and firm within our intentions, we can manage the energy movement that is catalyzed by eclipses and use it to our benefit, to create a more joyful, joy-filled, fulfilling life that we enjoy.

The Arturian Group Message on Reclaiming of Innate Power By Marilyn Raffaele | Oneness of All
The Arturian Group Message on Reclaiming of Innate Power By Marilyn Raffaele | Oneness of All
Dear readers, we meet with you in love during these times of so much seeming turmoil. Be not afraid, as all is as it needs to be for the evolution and growth of the majority. It is a time of confusion even for you who are awake, leaving many of you to question whether or not there really is an ascension process happening.
You
are witnessing the baby steps of awakening for those who have up to now
accepted as truth everything they were told by governments, churches,
and so called experts. Inner eyes are starting to open and with it, tiny
buds of awareness are beginning to unfold. Many are suddenly realizing
that much of what they have accepted without question has not been for
the good of the majority, but has been instead for the good of a few.
Observe
the many beginning to stand up for themselves and demand answers. The
Light is beginning to shine on those comfortably hidden within self
serving agendas and they have no answers--the emperor (world illusion)
is finally being recognized as having no clothes.
Accustomed
to blind obedience, many in positions of power are not prepared for
questioning nor do they feel any obligation to answer. Obedience without
question is facet of old energy that is quickly dissolving in the
presence of the higher frequencies of Light now bringing the truth of
individual empowerment to world consciousness.
As
the majority begins to recognize and claim their innate power it is
creating great fear in those comfortable and profiting from the status
quo. This in turn is causing them to respond with what they know, tools
of the three dimensional belief system-- repression, violence, and
punishment.
The
reclaiming of innate power is one of the first and most powerful steps
of the evolutionary journey, but many as of yet do not fully understand
what it is that they are beginning to feel. Since individuals can only
express their current state of consciousness, you are witnessing a surge
of actions that reflect concepts of resolution, some peaceful and some
not.
Be
not afraid dear ones, for all is as it needs to be for now. As we have
said before, this does not mean that awake individuals cannot take a
stand as long as actions are done with the intention of service, giving
example, and unconditional love for the purpose of helping to awaken
others to higher methods of resolution.
We
wish to speak about love in action, love that is not simply emotion or
awareness, but love expressed outwardly through words spoken or actions
taken. As with all actions, intention sets the energy on which the
activity flows. When unconditional love is the intention behind an
action, it will always carry a high resonance regardless of how mundane
it may appear to others.
There
are times when stern words or actions are the only way some group or an
individual can comprehend that their words or actions are not
acceptable or that what they are doing is interfering with another's
freedom or good. Parents do this all the time when they discipline their
children.
Sadly,
not all stern action is based in unconditional love. Frequently the
discipline of children, prisoners, church members, or anyone under
another's authority is not done for the good of the one being
disciplined as they tell themselves, but is instead an excuse to indulge
in the self-serving misuse of power.
The
misuse of power is a tool used by those who unconsciously carrying
energies of inadequacy and low self esteem. Exercising power over
another without love, provides these dear ones with a false sense of
having the strength and power all seek but which can only be found
within.
Love
in action means taking the time to ask yourself; "Why am I taking this
action? Is it to punish or to inform? Is it to dominate, or to teach? Or
is it simply because I am now choosing to express love in all my
actions?"
Having
experienced many lifetimes on earth, the mind and reflexes of many are
still programmed until cleared, to act from fear, judgement, and
criticism in unfamiliar situations. These reactions are either old
energies still active in cellular memory or learned concepts from this
lifetime regarding 3D rules of how everything must be in order to be
right.
The
gradual and ongoing evolution of mankind is easily recognized by
observing how the "rules" of one generation seem old and silly to the
next and then completely change. So much unnecessary suffering has taken
place in the past and still does today simply because of "rules"
imposed upon the un-empowered by someone in "authority" be it
politicians, church leaders, parents, or adult children.
When
you react negatively to some person place or event, pause and take time
to ask yourselves what the reaction was about. "What am I believing
that is making me feel this way? Is it true?" Negative reactions are
your teachers and blessings, serving as tools to help you discover what
you may still hold in your belief system, allowing you to then release
and clear whatever you find.
This
is a most powerful time on earth. High frequency energies of Light are
streaming in and available to all. These energies affect everyone,
allowing them to easily recognize everything that does not resonate with
universal love. Universal consciousness is in the painful throes of
birthing individual empowerment. It is being born now, today, in the
world around you.
Unconditional
love must be brought in to every action, no matter how seemingly
mundane. Holding the door for someone while silently acknowledging that
they are a divine being makes you a Lightworker and allows this simple
act to carry a spiritual frequency. The same act of holding a door for
someone when done from a sense of duty or concepts of separation, does
not flow with the same energy but will appear the same.
Actions
of service done with no awareness of oneness (unconditional love) are a
very important phase of the journey because they are the first steps
toward attaining of a consciousness of oneness. All actions of service
are in reality, love even if the person acting is far from realizing it.
Every
individual is required only to live out from their highest attained
state of consciousness. If a person chooses to live from a lower state
of consciousness than he has attained (pretending, in order to please
another), he will experience guilt and unease because he is out of sync
with his inner self/SELF.
Intention-
intention- intention--dear ones. In the beginning you must stay aware
of the intentions behind every word and action, but there soon comes a
time when this conscious effort is no longer needed because your
practice has become your attained state of consciousness allowing all
actions to automatically flow on streams of unconditional love.
Attaining
a consciousness of the oneness of all within the ONE is the goal of the
spiritual journey. Many of you are already there, and have found that
you rarely react to things as you once did. You have become the
way-showers and the time for way showing is very close as many rapidly
become ready to be shown.
The
rites and rituals of organized religions are simply tools--some
effective and some not, usually created by well intentioned humans, not
God, for the purpose of informing others about truth (their concept of
it). Every soul reaches the point at which there is no longer any
benefit to continuing organized religious practices because there has
come the realization that the only real church is within. This is not to
say that church activities can never again be enjoyed or shared with
friends, but the belief that they are necessary is no longer there.
All
organized religions begin with messages of truth received and taught by
an individual who has attained a highly evolved state of consciousness.
However, within a generation or two the purity of the original messages
is always lost and begins to fill with falsehoods.
This
happens when the purity of the original teachings are interpreted and
then taught by those of a much less evolved state of consciousness.
These teachers, ministers, authority figures may mean well, but because
of their inability to grasp the real meanings of the deeper truths as
taught by the original teacher, they teach concepts, not truth.
There
are still those who need the guidance and structure of organized
religion to help them learn how to behave, but every soul reaches a
point where teachings presented to them by others feel old and
finished--trust that feeling. Truth lies quietly within, awaiting the
recognition of every person, for where else could Truth be, you being
what you are--the One Divine Consciousness, all there is.
At
a certain point every person must stop seeking outside of self for
truth. "Truth" as taught by others can never rise higher than the
attained state of consciousness of the teacher who is often well
intentioned, but is still holds many third dimensional beliefs.
A
true spiritual teacher always guides and teaches the student to seek
within, the only place truth can be found. This is the purpose of
meditation, nature, and silence--practices that quiet the mind so that
the still small voice within can be heard.
The
evolutionary journey is simply the process of remembering who and what
you already are through experiences of separation. Every bit of
realization attained must then be lived and expressed much like the
fruit that seems to appear out of no where on fruit trees. If the fruit
is not picked, it remains unexpressed and rots.
Allow
the fruits of your awareness to abundantly flow without fear into every
situation carried on streams of unconditional love.

EVEN THOUGH
today's Solar Eclipse was in Pisces and aligned with Neptune -- which
we might think of as gifting us with peaceful and spiritual thoughts and
feelings -- there are other complicating factors that may compromise
our ability to sit quietly in meditation now. Instead, we may be feeling
a bit fragile, uneasy, or disconnected, or at the whim of "Fates" over
which we have no conscious control.
As mentioned last week, this eclipse is aligned with the karmic South Node. This means that we are being asked to dismantle some old, lower-vibrational patterns now. Each sign has a range of frequencies, from high to low; the lesser qualities that are associated with Pisces, that we now are facing and releasing, include confusion and lack of grounding, avoidance and escapism, hypersensitivity and being overwhelmed emotionally, self-doubt, capitulation, and falling into victimization.
IN OTHER WORDS, yes, we can find peace and enjoy the fruits of Spirit with a Pisces South Node eclipse -- but if we find ourselves not experiencing deep serenity, we may have to do some growth and healing work first. This may involve releasing the past, opening our hearts in forgiveness, setting healthy boundaries, claiming some aspect of our higher self that we are ready to integrate, or otherwise elevating our own frequency.
The good news is that we have some time to do this deep spiritual work. Although the influence of an eclipse is usually strongest around the time of the event, it continues to work with us in varying degrees until the next pair of eclipses occurs (on August 7 and 21, 2017).
As we do this work, we reap the rewards of the higher octave potentials of Pisces: Trust in the positive, the ability to transcend life's dramas, unconditional love, a deeper connection to our own Divine Self, expanded intuition, heightened ability to receive higher guidance, and a knowing of the oneness of All Life.
THE CHART for the Solar Eclipse contains several challenging planetary aspects that are becoming exact over the next few days. This means that some of the tension we may be feeling today will carry into the coming week.
Mars is very active on Monday, leading us to take risks that we once lacked the courage to undertake. We'll need to watch a tendency to only see one side of the issue (Mars opposite Jupiter) and to be over-reactive (Mars conjunct Eris). While the energy of these aspects can help us move beyond places where we've been stuck, it will be important to maintain our balance and think through our actions before we proceed.
This is especially vital since Mercury aligns with the South Node on Monday. Confusion and wishful thinking can get in the way of making clear decisions. We may also hear from someone from our past, or be called to reconsider our communication methods.
OUR THOUGHTS and words are scattered on Wednesday, as Mercury forms hard aspects with both Uranus and Jupiter. These aspects open our minds to new perceptions, but we may not yet have enough concrete information on which to base good decisions.
The Sun is also exactly aligned with Neptune on Wednesday, a joining suited for dreams and mystical experiences, but not for "real world" decisions. But, if we can take a holiday and spend the day in nature or in a creative pursuit, we may fully enjoy and benefit from this other-worldly planetary alignment.
THE ASPECT of greatest import for this week occurs on Thursday. This day marks the second of three Jupiter-Uranus oppositions -- the first occurred on December 26, 2016, and the third will occur on September 28, 2017.
With Jupiter in Libra exactly opposite Uranus in Aries, rebelliousness is heightened, especially with respect to issues of justice and personal rights. There is a tendency to go to extremes to fulfill our need for change and to break free from unfair restrictions or laws. This, of course, can be positive in effect, if we are needing to make big changes, and if we can remember to bring some reason to the game. Staying in balance allows us to use this energy to make breakthroughs instead of having to fix breakdowns that occur after misguided actions.
ON SATURDAY, Venus goes retrograde in Aries. The planet named for the goddess of love will seem to move backward through the sky until April 15, and will dip back into Pisces on April 2.
During retrograde phases, the accepted advice is to limit external activities related to the planet, and to emphasize the internal. With Venus retrograde, we may tend to withdraw from people as we go through a period of re-evaluating our relationships and alliances. We are also meant to reassess our investments and purchases during this time.
In all situations, we will benefit by looking beneath the surface appearance of whatever we may be considering embracing in our lives. This is always good advice, of course; but when Venus is retrograde, we can tend to over-value a person or a possession, or be motivated by emotional idealism or sentimentality. These issues, and the results of any missteps, will likely be most apparent during the month-long Venus-Saturn square in April.
THE WEEK ENDS with a stabilizing influence -- hooray for Saturn! Next Sunday, even though a minor aspect between Mars and Neptune may cause some confusion early in the day, a Mars-Saturn trine midday helps us focus on getting things done, and indicates an opportunity to make progress.
This aspect represents initiative and discipline working well together. If there's a project we've needed to work on, we can take advantage of this influence to support our efforts. After a week of such scattered energies, it will be good to feel a sense of accomplishment.
IF YOUR BIRTHDAY IS THIS WEEK: This year holds great potential! With the Solar Eclipse just before your birth anniversary, a wave of energy is behind you, moving you forward. You are also aware of all that you need to release, that has been holding you back. As you let go of the need to save or be saved, many energy leaks are repaired. You then have the courage and self-belief that enables you to achieve new levels of liberation and fulfillment.
In peace,
Pam

26th February 2017: Solar Eclipse in 9th Degree of Pisces at 2:54 p.m. GMT: Extraordinary and True
By Sarah Varcas
With four planets in Aries and five in Pisces, this eclipse speaks of over-due endings and fresh starts. A new way of being is in reach, born of wisdom gleaned from past experience and freedom from shackles that no longer bind. But these endings may not match our expectations, and if we’re waiting for the new to prove itself before letting go the old we may find ourselves frozen by fear, consumed by indecision or unhelpfully resistant to unavoidable change.
Which is why this eclipse requires an act of faith and a warrior spirit, all wrapped up in a ‘can do’ attitude which balks at the notion that the next step is too hard, too challenging or not what we’d planned. As such, it asks of us a lot but if we take a deep breath, resolve to stay the course and do what needs to be done it brings great strength and profound wisdom: direct experience of the divine as our personal source of knowledge and power. Ancestral trauma, family karma and inherited pain are all raised as issues at this eclipse. The coming six months will provide powerful opportunities to turn our wise and compassionate attention toward them, bringing to a close long-established patterns rooted within and beyond our lives.
This eclipse speaks of freedom to claim as our own: an opportunity to step into the light of our unique individuality, shaped – but not contained – by all that’s gone before. It raises issues of self and other, me and you, standing together or breaking apart to do life alone. Whilst a solar eclipse in Pisces may be seen as a time of gentle reflection, this one is anything but. And whilst the essence of Pisces is unbounded communion with All That Is, we may now feel strongly the divisions which crystallise into ‘you’ and ‘me’, no longer able to tolerate the cost of pretending they don’t exist.
If we’ve been waiting so long for change, struggling with conditions that seem forever stuck, held back by old habits, unhealthy relationships, past pain or memories too good to let go, we now encounter a window of opportunity to leap forward into the new. As such, this eclipse sorts those who truly want to change NOW, from those who like the idea of change but ‘maybe I’ll just wait and see’. With Venus, Mars, Uranus and Eris in Aries, we have a veritable powerhouse of energy to invest in starting over anew, cutting the ties which bind us to the past and seeing the world through new eyes, staying strong in hope, resolved in our intent and committed to walking a fresh path from here on in. Where doing so brings sorrow – grief over lost love, opportunities that passed us by, hope unfulfilled – the Sun, Moon, Chiron, Neptune and Mercury in Pisces soothe our pain and enable feelings to flow until the quietude that signals new life emerges in their wake.
Whilst some endings may be foisted upon us by circumstance, other peoples’ choices or good old fashioned ‘fate’, others we must initiate, deciding once and for all that the old way no longer works and change is well overdue. If we await incontrovertible proof we’re doing the right thing, we may miss this opportunity in a haze of anxiety and fear. The truth is we can never really know, for every decision lives its own life once set in motion by our thoughts, words and deeds. All we can do is follow the nudges within that speak of possibility and potential, of courage and commitment, of a path bearing many crossroads that will test our mettle, open our heart and strengthen our soul.
This is a time of choices and those made now with a bold heart and courageous spirit carry alchemical force to change our lives. It’s okay to feel fear, to experience the buzz of anxiety as we contemplate life renewed and imagine walking away from circumstances that have consumed so much of us to date. The challenge is to stand firm despite it and make the change that liberates possibility and releases potential. For in doing so, the coming six months promise profound renewal which will anchor us ever deeper into a life both extraordinary and true.
