Cancer Full Moon: High Tide

“Believe in yourself and what you feel. Your power will come from that.” Melissa Etheridge

High tide of ocean emotion

washes feelings,
impressions and memories

upon the shores of our lives.
We are pulled to pay attention
to the care and feeding
of life in a human body.

Inconvenient,
perhaps agitating
when focused on climbing
the rocky mountain
new year
of responsibilities and ambitions.

Disappointment may show up
when investing nourishment
in others while denying our own needs
or when turning towards addictive habits
to quiet disappointment, criticism or sorrow.

Full moon brings
a sharpened awareness of our needs
and the needs of our world.
Now we must integrate
self nurturing and self discipline.
The struggle for self-sufficiency and authority
is on shaky ground without
a healthy emotional foundation.

“The personal life deeply lived always expands into truths beyond itself.” Anais Nin

rather than be enslaved to accomplishment and tradition.

“…like the sea, you are tidal. You ebb and flow…trust that when you stop fighting the pull of the tide, the ocean in you will bring everything you need.” Martha Beck

your moral compass, your internal clock
aligned with integrity.
Keep your eyes open and your heart humming.
Nourish strength and tenderness
deep within.
