WE CONTINUE to
bask in the otherworldly energies of the Galactic Center for a few days
yet, although the focused effects are gradually
lessening as Venus and Jupiter move out of the range of the GC's orb of
influence. Although our "real time" experience of the alignment can be
uplifting and inspirational, our primary opportunity with rare events
such as this is to maintain the connections that have been activated.
Once channels have been opened, it becomes easier to access them again,
especially if we intentionally and routinely use them over time.
As astrologer Philip Sedgwick writes:
"You naturally possess instant access to the Galactic Center—to the download of Divine Insight located at this specific frequency and direction in space—at
any time, and in blasts taking only fractions of a second. You do not
even need to go through the added effort of figuring when the Galactic
Center is
overhead, which it is once a day.
You simply need to clear your mental decks, set the agenda and then do
the hardest part of any spiritual exercise: Listen."
IN OTHER WORDS,
the alignment of planets that is amplifying our connection to the
Galactic Center is simply a tool to help us be more conscious. It would
hardly be fair of the Universe to give us a brief alignment every 12
years or so, opening a door only to slam it shut! No, that is not how
the Universe
works.
Once a door has been opened—once we are aware and have opened the channel—our main work is to trust that connection and to remember to reestablish it in our awareness on a daily basis.
We
can help renew the channel simply by stating an affirmation every
morning when we arise. We might choose to say, "I remember that I am a
Divine Being, and that I am connected to Source." Or, "I am mindful of
my connection to higher level Intelligence today." Or, "I am open to
receive Divine Guidance and Insights today." The words you choose must
feel right to you, and resonate with your
being. You will know when you've hit upon the right words for you. You
will also know when and how your affirmation may need to change over
time.
WE BEGIN
a new lunar cycle this week, marking an excellent time to start a new
project, or perhaps to set an affirmation that you will use every day
for the next month. The New Moon will occur on Tuesday, November 26, at
7:05 a.m. PST, when the Sun and Moon align at 4°03′ Sagittarius.
This
New Moon contains within it great potentials. In addition to activating
the natural Sagittarian qualities of optimism, wisdom, intuition,
abundance, and enthusiasm, it also
mobilizes the energies of a fixed star called Marfik. Astrologer
Roderick Kidston calls Marfik "one of the hitherto unacknowledged
success stars." He explains, in his book The Magic
of the Stars, that with Marfik, "we
know how to tune our thoughts to the right vibrations in order to
attract the right results. Ideas of resonance, or the Law of Attraction,
rule here."
THE NEW MOON
is also conjunct Pallas Athene, the asteroid that was named in honor of
the Greek goddess of Wisdom and Justice. Myths reveal that androgynous
Pallas excelled in the arts of both war and healing, acting as teacher
and mentor to those who wanted to learn these crafts. As a deity, she
represented both Divine Thought and Divine Will. She
embodied qualities of both the Divine Feminine and the Divine Masculine.
Pallas
is my personal favorite among the asteroids, as it seems to gift us
unconditionally with certain talents and insights. The asteroid also
provides insights that enable us to see great Truth and a higher
Perspective, as represented in depictions of Pallas that show her with
an Owl on her shoulder and a Snake wound around her feet.
AS I WAS thumbing through my well-worn copy of Asteroid Goddesses to glean a few more insights about Pallas, I was especially struck to read these words by author Demetra George:
"Pallas
Athene embodies the magical will that enables us to create and control
our own reality. Pallas manifests whatever is needed through the mode of
creative visualization. Thus she is the occultist rather than the
mystic, the scientist as opposed to the psychic, using natural laws to
manifest ideas onto the physical plane."
It
would seem that Pallas embodies energies very similar to those emanated
by the fixed star Marfik! There are, of course, no coincidences, so it
seems that the cosmos are conspiring once again to make sure we receive
this message. Tuesday's New Moon will, apparently, be especially
powerful for setting intentions, and for activating an inspired vision
of what our future could
be.
WE'LL NEED to be flexible in our expectations, however; co-creation is just that—a
cooperative process between us and our Divine counterparts. It involves
both presenting our ideas, our conceptions of what we want to bring
into
manifestation, AND being open to the Will of the Cosmos, which knows and
sees much more than we often can from our human perspective.
This reminder shows up strongly in the New Moon chart, as there is a tight quincunx aspect between the New Moon and Uranus (at 3°28′
Taurus). As a transpersonal planet, Uranus represents Divine Mind,
through which we receive information and insights that our rational
minds cannot usually conceive. Synchronistically, Divine Mind
is the source energy behind the Galactic Center, the conduit through
which downloads can occur.
AT THE LEVEL of
physical reality, Uranus often brings sudden surprises and unexpected
detours. We've experienced many changes of plans since the last New Moon
(on October 27/28), when Uranus opposed the Sun and Moon. A quincunx is
not as strong a medicine as an
opposition, but the flavoring is similar.
A quincunx is an aspect that requires adjustment—perhaps a mental adjustment, or an emotional one, or even a physical one. The
Uranus quincunx to Tuesday's New Moon tells us that our preconceived
notions will need to be modified. Our success in any endeavor will best
be attained when we stay open moment-by-moment to new insights and
information we might receive, and then are willing to adapt our
envisioned plans accordingly … with appreciative nods to Pallas Athene,
the fixed star Marfik, Uranus, and the Galactic Center!
IF YOUR BIRTHDAY IS THIS WEEK: This
can be an exciting year for you, but it is one that requires
flexibility on your part. You are changing your once-clear trajectory
based on your expanding beliefs and growth in wisdom. Your direction may
not be known at this point, but your adventurous
Sagittarius self can thrive under these shifting conditions. Do your
best to let go of judgments and "shoulds," letting your life unfold as
illumined by the light inside you. Find your meaning in the inspiration
of the moment, while holding aloft your highest vision of the future. (Solar Return Sun quincunx Uranus, semisquare Pluto)
