Today's energetics have four primary themes:


1- THROWING OFF RESTRAINTS AND LIMITATIONS - The Sun moves to the degree of "a girl surreptitiously bathing in the nude." This brings us a desire for freedom from anything that inhibits us.  Often, this involves old beliefs about ourselves or things that have been foisted onto us.  This energy brings a natural feeling of wanting to eliminate anything that has been imposed on us that is a burden.  Within this dynamic, we usually face something about ourselves or feel the desire to reveal something.


2- GOLDEN OPPORTUNITIES - Venus begins to disseminate the energy of "a theatrical representation of a golden-haired goddess of opportunity."  This symbol always reminds us to be discerning about what is real and what is illusion.  It can bring a lot of drama to situations, and a lot of "acting out."  If we are chasing something that is not in our highest and best interests, the Goddess of Opportunity will make sure we see the truth of it.  However, some very wonderful opportunities, ideas, insights, and even rewards come with this, too.  Things can turn on a dime today, so do not count anything out before its time.  This symbol also directs us to follow the Golden Rule - do unto others as you would have them do unto you - but also the historical aspect of the Golden Rule -those with the gold rule.  We are watchful of the manipulation of currency and markets today.


3- SMALL BEGINNINGS - For several days, the energy has been strong for things that exist deeply within us wanting to come to light.  What is seeking to emerge within you and within your life?  We are advised to bring those things forward, with the Earth discharging the energy of "the seed grows into knowledge and life."  Balsamic Moon phase is the time of the lunar cycle when we "clear the field" or "plow the field" in order to prepare good mind-terrain for the insertion of new intentions - new seeds - at the New Moon (January 9).  Start small.  It only takes one step.


4- THE WINNOWING - Mars is discharging the energy of "a broken bottle and spilled perfume."  This energy can be shocking and engender sad emotions; we don't like it when things break, break up, crack, or divide.  Queen of the Sabian Symbols, Lynda Hill, says it best with this symbol:


"Sometimes things need to be broken so that their contents can be released and fully appreciated or revealed."  Truth is always revealed when this energy is in effect. This energy also heavily contributes to Dhumavati's mission this month (a special appearance) to sort the wheat from the chaff, sort the real from the unreal, sort the pure from the corrupt, and sort darkness from the light.  True colors and true essences are revealed.  It can be hard to take, but necessary in order to move past things.  A Great Winnowing is happening as we move into the New Moon in Capricorn, when the Emissary of Sophia Kali and the Emissary of Thelete Seth come on duty.


Under the Balsamic Moon, our dreams and visions for the future come to life within our minds.  To fully experience the beauty of Balsamic phase, we release feelings and situations that have built up over the past month and no longer serve.  We have the days of the Balsamic phase for this, so we can start slowly.  The Capricorn lunar cycle is a "cardinal" cycle, which means great shift happens.  All month long we've been preparing.  Let's leave in the dust, anything we do not want to carry forward.

Today we would like to focus your attention on the topic of seasonal allergies. Many in the northern hemisphere are suffering from some form of seasonal allergy. Many seem to dread this time of the year when winter begins to fade and the flowers and trees begin to blossom for the shear discomfort that they experience. It is our intention today to share with you nature’s true intention and how you may use this energy to your advantage.


Many are quick to reach for the fastest remedy in order to relieve some of the most common ailments reported by millions during this time of transition. This is a time of great rejuvenation, a bountiful rebirth of all that has been tucked away and integrated in the winter months. Why would this time of rebirth and rejuvenation of nature be meant to benefit all except you? How is it that some have never been impacted by seasonal allergies while others seem to be plagued by them? Is it simply luck that determines who is negatively affected by seasonal allergies, causing only some to suffer? Certainly not! This is what we would like to further expand upon in this message to you today.


The transitions of all seasons are a time of great release, clearing, integration and rebirth. The transition of winter to spring is the time of rebirth. It brings valuable energy for you to use as you wish. Certainly you have the opportunity to use this tremendous energy for your benefit, however like everything in your reality if energy is not consciously directed by you it will be left to follow the directives given by subconscious belief patterns.


The beginning months of the year are often spent envisioning new goals, desires and creations that you intend to manifest for yourselves. The energy that is being offered at this time is here to assist you in creating these manifestations for yourselves. However it can only be of service if you allow it. Put this energy to work for you, rather than allowing it to become stuck inside you. Energy is meant to flow in abundance. We would describe this energy as having the potential to be a “shot of adrenaline”. It is a burst of energy given at the most opportune time to support you in making your dreams your reality.


Often you are met with the strong urge to “clean house” in the transition from winter to spring. This comes as no surprise as it is largely due to the energies offered by nature at this time to help you to release what is no longer serving you after you have taken the winter months to integrate all of the new ideas, beliefs and energy that the summer months had to offer.


Often you will find that you begin to lay new foundations in the month of April; carefully creating the platform you will require to build your dreams and desires upon. You have each found yourselves in a transitional state in which you are being encouraged to let go of the old and take the leap of faith needed to allow room for the new manifestations you are drawing to you. Many of you in fact have found yourselves in what you could call a “cross road” which we realize can feel quite unsettling but surely you must each make the decision of where you would like to go from here. This is the time for release and cleansing before you are once again propelled forward. You will soon see how steady your foundation is as you proceed to build upon this foundation in the coming months. Just as any structure is only as strong as the foundation it has been built upon, so too are your creations only as strong as the beliefs you have used to manifest them.


It is a collective belief of the human population at this time that seasonal allergies can create pain, discomfort, and distress for the body. This is not to say that all believe this, we are simply saying it is a collective belief held by very many. However with the proper intention and understanding of this energy you may look forward to this time of great transition for the wonderful and transformational opportunities that this energy brings. You may wield this energy in a positive direction to allow these energies to benefit you, rather than to impede you.


When these energies are not directed with conscious intent you will often feel the strain on your physical body. This of course can manifest in numerous ways, sinus blockage, scratchy throat, excessive fatigue, feeling overwhelmed, headaches, just to name a few. However when these energies are put to use with your conscious effort and intention you will feel recharged, uplifted, healthy, and vibrant because you are in a state of allowing. You are open to the divine flow, which allows this energy to easily pass through you in abundance.


Those who experience the distress of seasonal allergies suffer from a form of “blockage” which often manifests in the sinus cavity. This of course is no coincidence. You are creating blockage in your physical vessel because there is a blockage of the powerful energy at this time. Nothing is created in the physical before it is first manifested in the spiritual. Energy is meant to flow through you, if it is blocked it will manifest in the physical to “get your attention”; not as a form of punishment but rather to help you see that the energy that is meant to benefit you is being held back.   This resistance prevents the energy from bringing to you all that the transition is meant to.


Many rarely realize that this discomfort and suffering is directly caused by their own doing, however with the conscious knowledge of this tremendous energy which is meant to serve and benefit all, you will now have the opportunity to direct this energy in a new way. It can be an instantaneous transformation once you realize that your suffering is not mandatory, it is not the result of luck or chance, but rather it is an experience manifested by “default”; simply because many have been unaware of the true purpose of this energy.


So why is it that some seem to be completely unaffected by seasonal allergies? Does this mean that they are consciously using this energy to their advantage? In some cases yes, although there are still others who simply do not hold the belief that seasonal allergies will negatively impact them. This does not however guarantee that they are using this energy in a conscious manner to allow the optimum benefit to be gained. It simply means that they will not be negatively affected by the discomfort of seasonal allergies. We are sharing this message with you today to help you to understand more about how to consciously utilize this powerful energy burst to your advantage.


You may wonder how one could use this seasonal energy to benefit their being rather than to cause discomfort. First, remember that energy is neutral; you may do with it what you like. All you must know is that it is there for your use. Your intention and of course your belief in your ability to transmute and utilize this energy for your benefit is all that is required of you. For those that doubt their ability to utilize this energy for their benefit, we remind you that you seem to have no problem utilizing this energy to create discomfort for yourself, why not now use it to create your desires?


Our suggestion is, now that you are consciously aware of the tremendous power that you have at your disposal you may now put it to good use with your intention to do so. What would you like to create with this burst of energy given to you abundantly by Mother Nature? Would you like to create more abundance of health, wealth, peace, love, friendship, relaxation or excitement? You are free to do what you wish with this energy. It is yours to create with.

Welcome to October, which will be a welcome relief from September although it’s going to be busy, with a Mercury retrograde, two eclipses, all three personal planets changing signs (Mercury, Venus, and Mars), Pluto gaining forward motion, Saturn finally moving out of its retrograde shadow, and probably more solar flare activity. I hesitate to lean towards the positive or negative when talking about the potentials, although both sides are likely to some degree, as what that means is relative to each individual based on their own path. This is a time, though, where situations in which we have ‘run out of energy road’ are likely to be a strong focus and anything that is an energy drain will be even more so. If there’s any self sabotage happening, you will know it, and have opportunities to make course corrections.

We have had a lot of retrograde action this year, inviting us to dig deeply into our individual and collective energy baskets and remove what is no longer necessary or what no longer serves us. Mercury passes through much of the Mars retrograde degrees, including the all important 16 degree mark. What were you processing from March through July that may be coming up again for review? What didn’t change then that is taking its last gasps now? While we ‘say’ we want to let things go, we often go back and forth over the same issues,  and dragging them out as long as possible, hoping that they will change so we won’t have to let them go. It will now be clear that some situations are DOA (dead on arrival) and cannot be revived any longer. Anything that needs to be released is making room for something new. Are we willing to create space in our lives for it, by releasing anything that is now occupying that space?

But before we can know what is old or new, what brings us joy, what we are reluctant to release, what does or doesn’t serve us, we must have an outcome in mind to define what that means to us.  Whether that is love, peace, joy, and abundance, something we want to have or do, a goal or direction for our life, or an energy we want to embody, outcomes create the container for our energy flows. Then, release becomes a process of moving into a new energy space, instead of reluctantly acknowledging that despite your best efforts, you failed at something you really wanted to succeed at.

Moving from healing to wholeness, becoming a 360 degree expression of our energetic potential, being in the highest aspects of our power, are all ways in which we can set intentions that define where we want energy to flow. And the right time to do that is personal and can range from our first twinge of mild discomfort to acute, chronic pain. Everyone has a different level of pain tolerance and what is bearable to one person could be intolerable to another. Too often we wait for the right moment to act, instead of taking one right action in each moment. We change when our pain becomes greater than our fear of change and sometimes it takes a while to hit our ‘pain ceiling’. Maybe this month will be the deciding point, it certainly has the potential for it.

With retrogrades we can release, review, reveal, remember, reconnect, revive, re-align, restart,  recalibrate, reconsider, and repeat, if we choose. If we don’t do anything, that is a choice as well. Eclipses are transformation and turning points, that offer glimpses into new potentials and possibilities, often by bringing up the past in new ways, and in October we have a repeat of the October 1995 eclipses. A repeating eclipse cycle plus a Mercury retrograde could bring some interesting revelations about relationships and connections, and what is ending, for the last time, and what is ready for a new beginning (new as in brand new, never been seen or used before, in the package with labels attached).

We’re also building to the December Uranus/Pluto square number 6 (one more to go after that) and that’s going to focus on the mind/spirit connection. This is where the material world and spiritual world connect, on all levels, individually and collectively. Who is the author of your reality, you, the past, the potential future, other people, or something else? Who do you give authority to, either consciously or unconsciously? While we believe that we are helpless when it comes to outside authority, it’s a reflection of who we give authority to in our lives. Being persecuted by ‘authorities’ is a powerful past life issue for many of us and it is often the root cause of our self sabotage. Be aware of this as you go through October, as it may come up multiple times.

In Libra, the Mercury retrograde repeats the Mars retrograde from December 2013 to July 2014 and this is also the sign of open enemies, which includes people who stand against you and your own self sabotage. Self limitation, self sabotage, and self judgment may be big themes for October as we’re being asked to reach into and dredge the bottom layers of our energy baskets and release what doesn’t serve our desire for peace, love, joy, and abundance in our lives and in the world. Or we can use this energy to see where we are blocking our own progress, limiting our fulfillment, and maintaining our pain levels because we are too afraid of change. We are individuals and are part of the collective, and our realities are interwoven with those of everyone in the planet. As we march onward through our journey of connection, ascension, and evolution into whole, fulfilling, 360 degree living, where we empower every aspect of ourselves and our lives, we become a united force for peace, love, and joy in the world. This is what creates heaven on earth. It begins with us. Where do you begin that process in your life?  Start today, the Universe always supports us in every way, give it something powerful to work with by creating powerful, life expanding, soul-ful intentions that will rock your life in extra-ordinary ways and change the world.

"Sometimes a part of us must die before another part can come to life. Even though this is a natural and necessary part of our growth, it is often painful or, if we don’t realize what’s happening, confusing and disorienting. In fact, confusion and disorientation are often the messengers that tell us a shift is taking place within us. These shifts happen throughout the lives of all humans, as we move from infancy to childhood to adolescence and beyond. With each transition from one phase to another, we find ourselves saying good-bye to an old friend, the identity that we formed in order to move through that particular time.

Sometimes we form these identities in relationships or jobs, and when we shift those areas of our life become unsettled. Usually, if we take the time to look into the changing surface of things, we will find that a shift is taking place within us. For example, we may go through one whole chapter of our lives creating a protective shell around ourselves because we need it in order to heal from some early trauma. One day, though, we may find ourselves feeling confined and restless, wanting to move outside the shelter we needed for so long; the new part of ourselves cannot be born within the confines of the shell our old self needed to survive.

We may feel a strange mixture of exhilaration and sadness as we say good-bye to a part of ourselves that is dying and make way for a whole new identity to emerge in its place. We may find inspiration in working with the image of an animal who molts or sheds in order to make way for new skin, fur, or feathers to emerge. For example, keeping a duck feather, or some other symbol of transformation, can remind us that death and rebirth are simply nature’s way of evolving. We can surrender to this process, letting go of our past self with great love and gratitude, and welcoming the new with an open mind and heart, ready for our next phase of life."

This is a photo of a pile of weeds in my driveway and the pile was even bigger than that by the time I finished. The weeds were all over the sides and middle of the driveway, and they made my house look pretty bad. Considering that it’s for sale, the view was not very appealing to potential buyers. I’m ready to sell and move, to create a new beginning in my life but the view of the untidy, weed lined driveway, which is the first thing viewers see, was highly unattractive. Before I could plant the seeds of my new beginning, I had to pull the weeds that created an unpleasant and unattractive perception about the house (which is really lovely on the inside) to someone who would be interested in buying it. My weeds were sending the wrong message and getting in the way of the seeds of the new beginnings I want to create.

If you’re a gardener, you know that seeds are planted in clean, freshly turned soil. Can you imagine planting seeds in a big patch of weeds? They probably wouldn’t grow well and if they did, the weeds would soon choke out the new plants. So why do we try to plant the seeds of our new beginnings before we clear out the weeds of our past? There are lots of reasons — we are ready to move away from our current situation right now and pulling weeds takes time, energy, and effort, we don’t want to deal with the weeds, it’s too overwhelming because there are too many of them, or we hope someone else will do it or they will disappear by themselves. These are all good arguments but they’re our weeds and we need to take care of them because they don’t pull themselves.

Weeds have a way of springing up suddenly and in surprising places too. I had patches of weeds growing out of the tiny cracks in my driveway. How did they get in there?  And they grow quickly — some of them were over 2 feet tall and I don’t remember them being that big until this weekend. They are also a distraction, shifting our attention from the promise of a new start to the reminders of what we still haven’t finished. Once they’re gone, so is the distraction. Are there weeds in your life that are distracting you and need to be pulled?

The other downside of weeds is that other people notice them too. They aren’t hidden from view, no matter how hard you try, and people see your weeds before they see you. They may give others the wrong impression about you, in the same way that my weed-choked driveway did not match the interior of my tidy, lovely home. Weeds, which include your confusion, fears, and doubts, drain your energy and prevent others from seeing the beautiful, powerful person that you are. Instead, they see the things that bother you, that you have not taken care of, things you are not paying attention to, or where you are not living up to your potential. And that’s the message they send to you too.

Here are some of the signs of weeds in your life, and how you can get rid of them so the seeds of your new beginnings are free to take root, grow effortlessly, and prosper:

1. You start noticing things that are ‘wrong’ or that bother you about your life. These are the weeds that are standing in the way of your new beginnings and they’re waiting for you to pull them out.

2. You feel unsure of your next steps, you worry about repeating the past, or you can’t figure out what to do next. You are ready to plant your new seeds but have nowhere to put them because the weeds are in the way. This is a choice, live with the weeds or clear them out so your new seeds have a place to grow.

3. You feel overwhelmed by how much you think you have to do to reach your goals. The weeds are all you see right now and there may be so many of them you don’t know where to start. Just begin with one because the job does go faster once you start, but if you don’t start you will never finish.

4. You are worried about what others are going to think or say about your new beginnings and don’t feel supported in your choices or decisions. Everyone else sees your weeds too and since they block the full view of your power, they probably are wondering how you’re going to accomplish your goals, as you do, because all they can see is the weeds.

5.  You don’t know where to plant the new seeds because you have never done this before. It’s sometimes easier to live with the weeds than to take on the responsibility of the seeds of new beginnings. New beginnings can be scary but they show up when we are ready for them and we are finished with where we are, even if we don’t know what’s next.

Once we are ready for new beginnings, we no longer want to give our time, energy, and attention to what we wish to leave behind, even though the desire for change makes us very aware of the ‘weeds’ in our life. While pulling weeds may not be your favorite thing to do, if you don’t take care of them, they will choke out the new beginnings you are trying to create. Pulling them takes time and effort but once they are gone, new beginnings can really be fresh starts and we won’t have the distraction of weeds to limit our view of the new potential we are creating for ourselves.
