Ask
by Phoenix Boulay
Until Tuesday, I've had a lot of seemingly small things go wrong this past week or so, the kind of little things that fuel anxiety or get under your skin..things that throw plans off, or even exhaust and exasperate...I was starting to think Mercury Retrograde had arrived early, since we are already in the shadow of it. by Phoenix Boulay
I went off the deep end in reaction, then realized it's just not worth it, so I started to re-set my intentions and ask for help. Since then, I have been noticing a series of small miracles that might not seem extraordinary to someone who doesn't live on the edge and get by on a wing and a prayer...but small things can make a BIG difference in the quality of this precious life we live, and the grace and ease with which we navigate our days.
Each time I was worried or tired of the situation, or unsure how I would handle what was most urgent, I called out for help. I apologized for what I might have done wrong (or more likely said, Ms. Outspoken that I am) that was not in my best interests or may have hurt someone. I re-affirmed my intention to do better at holding the vision of what I want to create for myself; to make greater effort to create balance and live by example; to take better care of myself so I have more to contribute; to be more responsible so I can have more freedom; to get out of my limited routines, go beyond my comfort zones and for Goddess's sake, go have some real fun for a change!
We have so much assistance available to us, simply for the asking. If you are like me and prone to trying to do it all yourself, if you tell people "I'll figure it out", if you feel alone and unsupported or feel like people are pulling on you or want too much from you, please ask for help. Ask for more, don't settle for less. Don't allow resignation to limit your seeming options. The truth is, we are unlimited beings who have been brainwashed and conditioned to accept limitation, conform, stifle our creativity and hush our enthusiastic outbursts. That's the old paradigm.
In the New Earth, we can see..in fact, we just KNOW that there is so much more waiting for us, if we simply set our intention and ask for assistance from the highest and best that the unseen realm has to offer. Higher beings do not interfere, they must be invited in. Sometimes help may come in the form of an earth angel, a human who suddenly appears on your path to assist you, much like the Angels do when we invite them in to help with any issue that takes us out of our ability to be at peace in this moment, here and now. For it is in the here and now that we co-create our reality and begin our journey.
To do so, we must be grounded and in our heart, for it is the wisdom of the heart that infuses life into our dreams. This cannot happen if we are in fear, for that perpetuates the sense of limitation and lack of control. So if you are feeling that you are at your limit, and your efforts to live your dreams are turning to sand, ask for help. Ask for the essence of what you want. Don't try to figure out the "how" of getting from here to there. Hold the vision that you are already there, ask for help and pay attention. Breathe. All will be well. Notice and appreciate the little things.
At times something may seem to go "wrong" when you had planned to do something or be somewhere. But the result may be that because of that, you met someone you wouldn't have met otherwise, who showed you something by being who they are. Perhaps you evaded a dangerous situation. Maybe it was simply that it served to slow you down so that you had a chance to be present, and even laugh at how easily you got yourself caught up in your own "hurry". The other day I rode to the Arboretum and rested awhile, but when I got up to leave, I discovered that my bicycle tire had gone flat. This was one of the more minor frustrations I experienced this week, and I could see the potential for it to snowball into a larger problem. So I called out for help, (and I called the nearest bike shop) as I could see I had to change my plans unexpectedly. On the up side, the bike shop was still open and in walking distance, the young man who helped me was upbeat, adept and informative. Although I had to postpone the main task of my original plans, instead of going home in defeat, I opted to grab a bite to eat, meeting a delightful young couple in the process. I got home a bit later than I wanted to, but by letting go of the need to control that which is beyond my control, I gained a sense of freedom and peace. For all these small things, I was grateful, for it helped me to see that when something goes awry, we need not let it ruin our day.
Trust the process. You are not alone. Help is always available for any situation or problem, large or small, but we must ask, then pay attention to signs or ideas that come to us as possible solutions. The next step is to act on those ideas. Most importantly, acknowledge and be thankful for help, in whatever form it arrives. This opens the door for you to receive more, because the Universe knows right timing and what form is best for you.
This week, the myriad of small miracles that unexpectedly materialized, when it seemed all hope was lost, were each gratefully acknowledged with a secret delight and perhaps a small giggle, as I thought about the importance of asking for the essence of what I was trying to create, rather than dictate the form. By surrendering to a higher power, allowing a wiser intelligence with a better view of the big picture to choose the form in which my creation would manifest, and releasing any inclination to control the process, I found myself in the flow of co-creation. It's quite humbling, and rather fun, at the same time! So I encourage you....ASK!
