What's Happening in the Stars?  June 16-22, 2014

The week of the summer solstice. The longest day of the year.
So very much can be accomplished with such heightened emotional
energy. It's easy to make changes when you can get the full force of
your feelings behind your intentions. Mercury and The Sun share
space on the solstice adding insightful mental energy to the mix-
adding an electric buzz to all your interactions. Seek to balance
family and work to fully receive the gifts of the current planetary
energy.

This week is primarily about the shift from spring to summer. But
on the eighteenth generous giant Jupiter connects with Venus
adding value to our experience. We are blessed with the download
of this all-knowing, optimistic, intuitive, super lucky energy. The
Venus can be expanded when Jupiter makes contact. When these
great beings of Light and Love join forces anything is possible, good
fortune reigns supreme. Be poised and powerful this week.  And
remember, luck occurs when preparation meets opportunity.

The summer solstice happens at 3:51 am June 21, 2014 PST-The
sun leaves fast-paced Gemini for emotional Cancer. Cancer is a
bossy kind of energy, though emotional and a bit squishy sometimes.
Cancer folks generally are happiest when they are in total control of
their environment, including any family members and friends that
might be in the vicinity. Cancer energy likes to nurture and create
security. There is a natural love of the home and family. For the
next month your emotions can guide you to what is the most fulfilling
path for you. Follow your feelings. Your deep inner knowing is speaking
clearly to you now-showing you the only true security is within. Let go
of the reigns a little and trust in the hard to define side of things.

At this time of year, in the northern hemisphere the Sun is at its brightest.
It is a powerful time to clarify your intentions for the next season. Get
clear and certain about what you want and then spend the day focusing
on releasing the past and creating space to welcome in the future. And
the future is yours to create. With the Sun at its most potent you can plug
into a magnificent source of energy and power to help launch the particles
of your chosen future into manifestation. Wake up and practice the classic
 yoga sequence: Sun salutations are a wonderful way to honor the power
of the Sun in our lives. The warmth and light keep us alive, feed us energy
and more tangible things like vitamin D. Without the Sun the earth would
die, and us humans hitching a ride would perish too.

So let's spend a day giving thanks for the Sun. Plant flowers; hang a rainbow
making prism in a sunny window; lie flat on your back in the grass, or sand,
or dirt and absorb the potent life force deep into your cells. Send love from
your heart back to the sun. Breathe in the potential of the next three months;
breathe out all your doubts.

Much can be accomplished this week. There is pressure to proceed. Trust
the process of creation. Discipline yourself to visualize only joyful positive
possibilities. The Sun sliding into Cancer, marking the summer solstice, is
one of the four power points of the year. Many shifts are taking place in our
galaxy; don't be surprised if you feel either anxiety or exhaustion. We are all
adjusting to new frequencies and this can be taxing to our physical bodies.
Note how you feel and make room for whatever comes up. Surround yourself
with beauty and positive people.
