AS THE MESSENGER PLANET
, Mercury represents our efforts to communicate externally, as well as how our minds process the information coming in. As we look at the list of highlighted aspects for the coming week, Mercury shows up five out of the seven days, indicating a lot of mental activity is ahead.

As we view the current landscape, it makes sense that Mercury would be active now. We're attempting to wrap our brains around recent events, trying to make sense of things. But, with Mercury in Cancer, our thinking is very influenced by our emotional reactions, and it may be hard to move into a higher perspective.

WITH SO MUCH GOING ON, we may feel somewhat overwhelmed on Monday. Within the course of one day, we are challenged to think in new ways (Mercury-Uranus), have opportunities to use our words to heal and bring peace (Mercury-Chiron), and run into conflict with our own or others' judgments of right and wrong (Mercury-Saturn).

Clarity can be even harder to come by on Tuesday, when a Mercury-Neptune aspect blurs our thinking and confuses our attempts to speak our minds. In reality, our minds are changing, so it makes sense (so to speak) if we don't make a lot of sense under this influence.

Early on Wednesday, a Mercury-Ceres square indicates that we probably do not feel emotionally supported in all the ways that we'd like. This aspect requires us to learn to ask for what we need, instead of expecting others to be able to read our minds.

MERCURY leaves the emotional waters of Cancer late Wednesday, which may help us be less at the mercy of our moods in the days that follow. The Messenger Planet will be in exuberant Leo until July 30, helping us bring more play and joy into our daily lives. However, Leo can also be very dramatic in expression, so we may see the roaring Lion demanding centerstage attention over the next couple of weeks.

Also late on Wednesday, a Mars-Uranus aspect pushes our buttons. Everyone seems to be easily irritated as we struggle between wanting to maintain control and needing to be free of all restrictions -- even those that we create ourselves.

TOWARD WEEK'S END, energies are heightened once more. The Sun is square Eris on Friday and Uranus on Saturday -- both of these aspects indicate unexpected events that challenge us to move beyond old patterns of fear and defensiveness. Thankfully, Mercury and Venus are aligned in Leo at the same time, which can help us express our thoughts and feelings in creative ways.

An easing of tensions is possible on Saturday and Sunday when three planets form a grand water trine. This healing configuration involves the Sun in Cancer, Mars in Scorpio, and Chiron in Pisces. It can help us to feel secure (Cancer) and to trust the unfolding of the universe (Pisces) -- but through accepting, not suppressing, our deepest emotions (Scorpio).

OUR TELECLASS REPLAY is available a while longer! If you missed our recent class covering July through December 2016, you can still purchase the audio replay and slideshow pdf -- just send an email to pam@northpointastrology.com with "Teleclass Replay" in the subject line, and I'll reply with instructions.

IF YOUR BIRTHDAY IS THIS WEEK: This year may bring important changes into your life, as you break free from the restraints of the past. At the same time, you have opportunities to heal emotionally and spiritually, a healing that will allow you to move forward in life with fewer emotional entanglements. An underlying restlessness moves you into new outlets for creative self-expression. It will be important to listen to your inner voice and to nurture friendships that bring out your playful side.

In peace,

Pam
