Today's energetics bring us a bridge or a link.
The bridge or link may be a solution, avenue, or impetus to get us across something, get something across to us, overcome distance or division, or keep something together.
Full light for this comes today as the Sun, discharging "a fertile garden under the Full Moon," squares Saturn at "an old bridge over a beautiful stream in constant use," while Mars discharges "a bridge being build across a gorge."
What do you wish to bridge?
To do so, Venus discharging "a teacher gives new symbolic forms to traditional images" tells us to reinterpret, rearrange, or re-envision the situation. The Earth, discharging "a bald headed man who has seized power" tells us to engage our personal power and will to construct and follow the bridge.
And, as we are building major bridges in consciousness today, we get a glimpse of the future. Mercury delivers the energetic of the upcoming new solar-lunar year (March 27), as it discharges the energetic for the year, "a woman's hat with streamers blown by the east wind" before it begins to discharge "a crystal gazer." Inspirations, directions, and solutions flash before us.
In astrology, squares (when planets are 90 degrees apart or at a right angle) produce changes. Squares between the Sun and Saturn can produce dramatic changes to the structure, daily routine, and status of things. It can change the way things are organized and planned. The bare bones (important elements) of things are laid out to be seen.
The Sabian symbol for Saturn, "an old bridge over a beautiful stream in constant use," takes what has been traditional or in place and refreshes it. The Sabian symbol for the Sun, "a fertile garden under the Full Moon," grows things. The combination of the Sun-Saturn aspect provides the opportunity to grow beyond the way things have been in the past. These things are not necessarily removed from the scene, since the "old bridge" is in constant use; in other words, it is still viable. Whatever is outworn (worn out) undergoes transformation/transmutation. The Sun and Saturn are in the mutable signs of Pisces and Sagittarius. Things morph.
Keep in mind that Sun-Saturn aspects can take the lower octave of criticism. There is a tendency to be highly critical of others or self-critical. When it is self-criticism, we stare at the list of things we feel we have done wrong and deliberate our "punishment." We can use the energy to bridge out of that -- overcome it. We can cut across the Scylla and Charybdis.
For reference, the exact square between the Sun and Saturn occurs at 4:44 pm ET/8:44 pm UT, but is, of course, in effect all day.
The Moon will move into Sagittarius at 10 pm ET/2 am UT tonight before it conjuncts the Black Moon tomorrow at 5:18 am ET/9:18 am UT, ushering a weekend where self acceptance and meaningfulness will be key.
Today, we are constructive! We understand that changes are underway with the Sun squaring Saturn. We build bridges in the field of consciousness. We "form up" with people, places, and things to blaze refreshing trails. We go the distance.
