Jupiter has just entered mystical Scorpio for a year-long stay, and with the Sun heading that way too, we are moving fast towards Scorpio Season! The veils are already starting to thin, so this will be one of the best months of the year to activate and strengthen our intuition!
Intuition doesn’t always come boldly and loudly into our worlds. If fact, intuition is often the quietest voice in the room, whispering and soft, and oh-so-gently pushing us to move in the least obvious direction.
But the more that we use our intuition – our inner guidance system of innate knowing and hidden messages – the louder its voice will become. The more we flex its muscles, the stronger they grow, and its really worth training ourselves in this way, because the guidance our intuition offers is the best we can get! Think about it – it’s highly personalized, bang up to date and always accessible. Who needs Grandmother Google, when your intuition is honed and sharp and ready to help!?
So here are my top 7 ways to activate and strengthen your intuition this month. (And it’s no accident that there are 7 of them: This is the most spiritually connected of all the numbers, so aligning yourself with the mystical frequency of the 7, will also help to open up the doors to your own powers of extra perception!
1. Meditate
I know that this this drum just keeps getting banged, but it really, really WORKS! Meditation is the number one tool that will activate and strengthen the power of your intuition. Spending just 5 minutes a day in quiet, contemplative stillness can help our minds to recognize and get to know the state of receptivity and one-ness which is where intuition appears. So a regular practice is the shortest, quickest route to creating the platform from which your inner voice can speak, and be heard.2. Silence the Ego
We all need the ego. The voice of our thinking brains definitely serves many important functions when it comes to social survival. But most of us are firmly in the habit of giving too much of our power away to the chattering of our inner monologue, allowing it to be the one in charge. Practice differentiating between this mind-dwelling voice, and the softer, sensory, non-judging, realm of the heart and the body. And when it gets a little too noisy, try and turn the egos volume down a notch or two!3. Become Body Aware
Practice sensing into how your body really feels, moment to moment. Your physical form isn’t simply a flesh-and-bones vehicle to move around in! You are a highly complex sensory machine, so listen to the signs, signals and feelings that your body is giving you in response to your changing environment. Here’s an example: A few years ago I bought a car. It was perfect on paper: a great make, low mileage and a clean interior – it ticked all of the boxes on my list. But when I took it for a test drive, my whole body contracted, I felt cold, and like something was seriously wrong. But, I ignored the signs, I followed the logic of my mind (and the persuasive power of my partner!) and bought the car. And for the next 12 months, I had nothing but trouble with it, it brought me to tears so many times, and ended up selling it for scrap! Lesson learnt.
4. Test Your Intuition Out
A great way to strengthen the trust that you have in your intuition (and therefore to be able to see the signs coming more clearly and more frequently) is to try it out, and see for yourself that it’s working! So the next time you get a hunch that you should call a certain friend to check they’re ok, or take an umbrella with you even though the sun is shining, act on it!
5. Get Creative
Becoming involved in something creative is a really great way to activate intuition because it’s one of the fastest ways to bring us right into the present moment. Just like children who are playing, being creative allows us to enter a world where anything is possible, so our intuitive capabilities are opened up wide.6. Unplug
Technology (and especially devices with screens) has infiltrated almost every aspect of our lives, and not only can it be seriously distracting, it actually alters the development of our brains, affecting our memory, attention spans and even sleep cycles. So unplugging from your phone or computer for a few hours every day (especially early morning and late evening) the can be hugely beneficial, because it allows the brain to return to the natural state of harmony and presence where intuition can flow.7. Ask for Stronger Signs
If you’re doing all the ‘right’ things, and still feel like your intuition isn’t working, or you can’t decipher the messages, then simply ask for them to be stronger! Your higher self, your guides, the angelic presences which surround you are all listening, so communicate with them – tell them what you need!I hope these tools inspire you to tap into the hidden signs this month, and really start to activate your own inner knowing! Everyone has the capacity to listen to their intuition, but the key is to practice. I’d love to hear your inspiring stories of intuitive wins, so comment and share below!
