Jacqueline Lasahn: Libra New Moon: Balance Redux
Challenge and confrontation.Trauma laid bare.
Urgent awakening.Be aware.
Libra New Moon stands
for justice and equilibrium
in the turbulent landscape.
Balance and peace
amidst agitation,
upheaval and discontent.
Deconstructing contradictions,
unraveling deception
and the manipulation of cooperation.
Shock and upheaval stirs the pot chaotic.
Jolt of energy.
Unexpected drama,
social veneer distressed.
Dissonance and harmony tangled in dynamic tension.
Cooperation and selfishness clarified.
Spotlight on relationships
increased awareness
hidden problems glare.
Awakening is destabilizing.
Do not lose heart.
Release the old,
breathe in new life.
Let’s wake up together.
In a world out of balance,
create balance with each conscious breath:
in breath
out breath.
With every step you take, walk in balance:
one foot, and then the other.
Every breath, every step.
Recreate balance.
Each moment
by moment
Release the old,
breathe in new life.
Let’s wake up together.
Goddess of Love.
Venus is the ruler of Libra.
Venus is the ruler of Libra.
Her graceful charms
have been misconstrued
as weakness or
even an invitation to intrude.
Her desire for partnership
has been misconstrued
as acquiescence to aggression.
Everyone deserves to love and be loved,
to share Venus’ delicious fruits.
When her fruits are stolen
the vibrant energy of love is destroyed.
Sun and Moon align opposite Uranus
to declare a revolution.
to break the chains.
To bring new vision within the collective consciousness
for the strength of each individual.
Everyone deserves to love and be loved.
Venus, goddess of love,
takes off her silk gown
to stand naked and strong,
clothed in her vibrant and empowered worth.
“Whether we and our politicians know it or not, Nature is party to all our deals and decisions, and she has more votes, a longer memory, and a sterner sense of justice than we do.” Wendell Berry

Redux “In Latin, redux (from the verb reducere, meaning ‘to lead back’) can mean ‘brought back’ or ‘bringing back.’ The Romans used redux as an epithet for the Goddess Fortuna with its ‘bringing back’ meaning; Fortuna Redux was ‘one who brings another safely home’.” from Mirriam-Webster Dictionary.
October 26, Sun conjuncts Jupiter, fresh in Scorpio (Oct. 10, 2017 – Nov. 8, 2018). The lens spirals open a larger view into the secrets of the underworld. As we move towards All Hallows’ Eve, Samhain, midway between the autumn equinox and winter solstice, we begin to draw closer to our ancestors. It is a time of acknowledging life and death, the value of life force and for recognizing our faults and flaws. A powerful time of the season for learning from the past and releasing what no longer serves.
