Functioning Well in a Dysfunctional World

As people who are spiritually minded and want better for ourselves and our world, we try to bring forth the light all day, every day. Looking out into the world, it seems like darkness is everywhere. People are lying, cheating, stealing, terrorizing, killing and more. It is sometimes frustrating when we feel like people can’t see what we are doing to help the world. Even our family, friends and co-workers don’t see the light of our soul or The Light that flows through us. They can’t or don’t want to see who we really are and sometimes criticize us for being different.
I recently saw a TV commercial for Centrum vitamins. It said that even at a distance of the length of 146 football fields, human eyes can see the light of a single candle. It is true to the extent that we can see a light in the darkness even farther than 146 football fields. Based on several published studies, in the right conditions (total darkness, no atmospheric conditions or the curve of the horizon to obscure the view), a healthy human eye can detect the light of a single candle from between 15 and 30 miles away. That is a long way!
So why can’t people see our light? They are looking at us physically the only way they know how. The Angels want to remind you today that even though someone doesn’t recognize the light in you or flowing through you, you are still that light! What people think doesn’t define you.
Winnie the Pooh says: “The things that make me different are the things that make me.”
Would you want to change who you are now just so you can fit in? Would that really make you happy? It may make you less lonely but would it make you happy? We should remember that everyone we meet is fighting a battle; the battle for their soul to grow. And this lifetime it is the most critical for each soul to learn what it needs to learn.
And you being who you are and keeping the light that flows through you bright, helps every single soul grow by giving them the most fertile ground to learn in. They benefit from the light that flows through you even if they push you away; even if they think and speak negative things about you.
We have to decide if we are here for the Earthplane life or if we are here to assist in the transition to a new and higher life for each soul who wants it? Probably everyone reading this is here to serve. If so, then we need to take the higher road in our relationships and view them differently.
Why are we talking about your relationships? Some of you have separated or been separated from your birth family and possibly your own family because of your choice to walk this higher path. Or it may have been friends that walked out of your life or vice versa. Well, some of these people may be coming back around into your life this year. Some of you may have already noticed this happening. In some cases, these relationships are coming back around because there is unfinished soul business. You may be complete on your end but that person may still have something to learn and you are the best person for them to learn their lesson through. However it comes around into your life, whether they visit you in dreams or in your daily life, don’t be surprised if the past comes knocking at your door.
The Angels want to give you some spiritual tools to help you deal with these relationships so the same hurtful situations of the past don’t happen again. Some of you may have these tools already in your spiritual toolbox.
~ Do not put up a shield. Knowing you are going to be walking into what used to be enemy territory, you might think it best to armor up and shield yourself. When you put up a shield to protect yourself it is like an announcement that you are expecting a fight and anything out there that is negative will find a way to attack you. It’s better to be more invisible to the energy and use the ice wall.
~ Use the ice wall. This is something you can use when you feel like someone is attacking you or going to attack you. You can put this up in anticipation of negativity coming your way or during the situation to stop it. All you do is think of an ice cube as tall and wide as your body. And then you state, “I thank you Angels that I now place an ice wall between me and (name).” You can do this before you answer the phone or if you are right there with the person. It works on a spiritual level to allow your light to continue to shine through however anything the person sends your way; their soul gets it right back because their side of the ice wall is a mirror. This will work for the entire day/night. They may say things to you like, “Aren’t you feeling well?” or “You look different, what did you change?” because they are noticing that they can’t touch or shift your energy. The ice wall is versatile and can be used for many situations; like putting up between your children who are fighting.
~ Getting this statement into your soul by repeating it every day, many times, for a few months. I must have said this 50 times a day for over a year and it took me a good three months before I felt it work. “I AM not moved by the things that I hear nor the things that I see.” This will give you more solid ground to stand on when you would normally get upset or mad, etc. You still have the feelings because you won’t be numb, it helps you to choose which emotions to act on.
~ Stop expecting grown up behavior from grownups. Sounds strange but it is truth. Think of it this way. Everyone here on Earth is an old soul. Until we get to the 5th Dimension, no new souls will be born. Think of everyone here as a grown up soul. However through the evolution of each soul, because of free-will we all learned our lessons differently and in a different order. So in this life, a parent, a school teacher, a boss may look physically older than you but act much younger. We get disappointed when we see adults act like children. But as Lightworkers, we are to look at the bigger picture in all things; to see the spiritual side of things. Older does not mean smarter. It just means older.
The Angels explained to me how to deal with this upside down situation. They said, “Christina, stop expecting 8th grade behavior from a 3rd grader.” Would you give a 3rd grader an 8th grade test? No, because you know they would fail. You are setting them up to fail. That’s not fair, loving or compassionate. Then why are you expecting different behavior from these people when you are the one who went up a grade?
And that is where we get disappointed. We EXPECT different behavior from them because we have spiritually matured because of what we have learned. When we stop expecting anything but the same from them, they will sometimes surprise us. The expecting is what puts us on an emotional roller coaster. To get off the roller coaster, stop expecting them to behave different.
The key is for you to behave according to the changes you have made even when these people cannot see you for who you are. Does a 3rd grader really respect the maturity of an 8th grader? No! They live in their own world and viewing it only from a 3rd graders perspective.
One of the greatest disappointments a Lightworker will ever feel is having a loved one not “see” or understand them. They only seem to remember who you were when you were a child or who you were before you changed spiritually.
I have been assured that each person you have ever been with in this life will see you and understand who you are; unfortunately for most of you it will be when you meet after you cross over. Until then, expecting confirmation from your loved ones will only bring sadness and loneliness when they don’t give it.
The people you come across in your daily life and those that you read about in the news can also cause frustration, sadness and sometimes can be maddening. I look at the world sometimes and see it kind of like Alice in Wonderland; except I am up top, not down in that crazy upside down world. It’s hard for me to understand why everyone else can’t see it too. It is so obvious to me. How do we live our lives and not give up when we see this craziness getting worse every day?
We stand firm in our beliefs and we do what we spiritually know to do. If we give up, who will be the light shining in the darkness? If even one of us is not here tomorrow, the light would shine differently. We are all here at this particular time to participate in this Collective Ascension. We all knew it would be hard. Listen to how that statement was said. We all knew it would be hard. And it has been. Not one Lightworker has had an easy life. There may have been easy times or easy things that happened but not one of us has had an easy life this time around. We knew that was how it would be when we raised our hand, jumped up and down and said to God, “Send me! Choose me! I want to be Your light in the darkness!”
We do this by focusing on self-love and being the best person we can be. We walk in truth, allowing the light to flow through us as much of the day and night as possible. When we do focus on other people, we have to look at the bigger picture; see each person as a soul with many life experiences and lessons. When we do that, we can find compassion in our hearts for how hard they are making their experience. We can love them for who they are, even if they don’t give us the same courtesy.
Here are some more things the Angels want you to think about:
You have a choice of how much you want this person in your life. Do you want to talk with them every day? Do you want to see them once a week? You can choose. A great way to make this choice is to answer this question about each person. If (name) were to cross over tomorrow, would I have regrets? Would you have wanted to spend more time with that person? To some people that I have shared with in Soul Sessions, the answer is that they would have wanted to talk with them once a week. Or they were okay with seeing them at holidays or emailing a couple times a week. As Lightworkers, we know that this life is not real. Our soul is real. And this lifetime may seem like an eternity sometimes but it is really only a blink of an eye of time for our soul. What matters is the soul. And our soul can get really messed up if we feel guilty about something we feel we should have done. As we spiritually mature, we make clear conscious choices about everything in our life. One thing may slip by us though. Since we have been hurt by these past relationships, we may just want to leave them there, in the past. And then later find out that we regret not trying when the opportunity came up. Be honest with yourself in thinking of past relationships. What your heart tells you may surprise you.
These family, friends of your past may be coming back into your life. Do you have to let them in? No, absolutely not. You always have a choice. But if you decide to, this time it can be on much better terms because now you know you have tools to help you.
