Pain is real. Sit with it a bit...

Pain is real. Sit with it a bit...

Pain is real. Sit with it a bit and ask what it is trying to tell you. Get a massage and go walk in the trees, whether you pain is physical or emotional. You will feel better. Sometimes you will feel worse before you feel better. But you will feel better, often more noticeable the next day.

Pets are helpful, but if you don't have one just borrow one. The neighbor's cat adores me and the liquor store tomcat (yes, I drink red wine to relax) even lets me rub his belly. Nice to have 5 minutes to forget about my stuff and ask him about his day. He talks back to me, too. "Mao-mao". So much for the tough guy, Top Cat!

The ocean and bodies of water are also good for clearing emotions. The trick is to just be present with whatever, the trees, the windy breeze, the animals, the sea. Nature heals. Even 5 minutes in a garden if you are busy or working, can make a difference. Go look at the stars at night until you feel that childlike sense of wonder.
Your pain may not be gone, but it will be more bearable and you may even notice is it is healing. As important, you will gain fresh perspective.
