A Time Of Great Revolution: The Libran Lunar Eclipse On The Super Galactic Center
The hand of God is with the group. Saudi Arabian proverb
In everyone’s life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit. Albert Schweitzer
After endless days of commuting on the freeway to an antiseptic, sealed-window office, there is a great urge to backpack in the woods and build a fire. Charles Krauthammer
Even in a time of elephantine vanity and greed, one never has to look far to see the campfires of gentle people. Garrison Keillor
Civilization no longer needs to open up wilderness; it needs wilderness to open up the still largely unexplored human mind. David Rains Wallace
Double, double, toil and trouble; Fire burn and cauldron bubble. William Shakespeare
An agreeable companion on a journey is as good as a carriage. Publilius Syrus
We are in eclipse season and March's full Moon is an appulse lunar eclipse, otherwise known as a penumbral lunar eclipse. Occurring on March 23, this eclipse is not a total eclipse, but rather the Sun will only be partially blocked out by the Moon's shadow. There is always a crescent of sunlight visible at an appulse lunar eclipse. It will be visible from east Asia, Australia, and most of North America.
Falling on the Super Galactic Center, this is a powerful eclipse, not because it is a penumbral eclipse: A penumbral eclipse is more subtle, and more difficult to observe, than a total or partial eclipse. They happen when the moon moves through the outer part of Earth's shadow. For more on these eclipses, check this out.
However, the fact that it occurs on that part of the zodiac that points to the Super Galactic Center, means that this eclipse could be even stronger than a total. The orb of the SGC is from approx 28+ Virgo to 6+ Libra. The Super Galactic Center is said to be where the 'Mind Of God' resides. Whether we believe in God, or that idea, or not, this is where we are said to be able to connect in with the Law Of Attraction - to make affirmations and decisions about what we want in life and to see these things coming to pass. It is a very powerful part of the zodiac and the Sabian Symbols, too, reflect that fact.
The full Moon each month marks a time of heightened energies and events and a lunar eclipse, even if it is penumbral, often marks the culmination of the energies released at the new Moon. Eclipses act as gateways to events; there can be big beginnings along with big endings. Emotions can be supercharged as the Sun and Moon are on opposite sides of the zodiac and illumination is increased - it's like we can see in the dark - and we can be hyper-aware as well as being hyper-awake. Sometimes, realisations or events that are unleashed, or unlocked, can stretch their meaning months and even years into the future. A lot can be learned at the time of the full Moon and whether it's lunacy or illumination, or a combination of both, there's magic unleashed with every full Moon. The personal effects of this can be major or minor, depending on how they interact with your own chart - if you would like a reading on what's happening for you - click here.

As this lunar eclipse follows on from a total eclipse of the Sun on March 9,
this period promises to be rather large on the world stage. We could
see some major events unfolding and some of them could be rather
extraordinary. The Karmic Condition (the degree before) of the
total solar eclipse of March 9 is Pisces 18: In A Huge Tent A Famous
Revivalist Conducts His Meeting With A Spectacular Performance.
We have seen a lot of 'spectacular performances' lately. One could say
that some performances lately have eclipsed other landscapes. The actual
Sabian Symbol for the solar eclipse is Pisces 19: A Master Instructing His Disciple
- there have been a lot of instruction, pontification, rules enacted,
laws laid down, etc, and there are bound to be more to come. Further, this lunar eclipse also has another 'teaching degree' highlighted and the transmission of knowledge is really amplified at this time. You can read my blog on March's total solar eclipse here.
The following interpretations of the Symbols are my abridged version. A much fuller interpretation is available in my book The Sabian Oracle: 360 Degrees Of Wisdom - click here for details.
The Moon at the lunar eclipse is on Libra 4: A GROUP OF YOUNG PEOPLE SIT IN SPIRITUAL COMMUNION AROUND A CAMPFIRE -
This Symbol, as it has an eclipse on it, is likely to show people in their own particular or individual camps. This is already happening around issues to do with politics, particularly in the US. We can find ourselves splitting off from people who don't share the same ideas, visions, ambitions, spiritual, ethical or moral ideas. To a certain extent, of course, this can be OK - we can still get along just fine while having different ideas or viewpoints. But, this is an eclipse, and a powerful one at that, and we might find issues to do with feeing 'eclipsed' coming up. Arguments can come about from people not accepting each other's beliefs. Having said that:
This Symbol implies the desire or need to be with others who share similar feelings, aspirations, goals and beliefs. There is a common focus here amongst the “Group” that opens up to creative and enlivening possibilities. There may be the feeling of being ‘out there’, in the ‘wilderness’, and you may be in some way, whether you’re miles from anywhere or you’ve been bought together by something very unique or unusual. It may be important to keep in mind that you don’t have to go alone; there is a “Group” of people who share the same beliefs and concerns. Gathering with them will lift your spirits. The “Campfire” can be anything that unites people in a common cause.
Keywords: Material concerns left behind. Pioneering with like minded others. Sweat lodges. Walks in the woods. Scouts and Girl Guides. Men's groups, women's groups. ESP. Kindred spirits. Soul mates. Unity. Fellowship. Campfires. Camping. Friends and companions. Spiritual circles. The Internet.
The Caution: Being too dependent on others. Feeling left out and having to fend for one's self. Rejecting fellowship because of feeling lost or alone. Obsession with objectives.
The Moon symbolizes: Emotions, moods, mother, family, clan, domestic issues, relationship to home and country. Feelings, sentiments, nourishment, emotional nurturing, monkey chatter mind, lunar and menstrual cycles, clarity of emotions or lunacy. Female energy - yours and others.
The Karmic Degree for the Moon on the lunar eclipse is Libra 3: THE DAWN OF A NEW DAY REVEALS EVERYTHING CHANGED - we might find many things in our worlds changed, even if it's our spirits, hearts and minds going through a type of rebirth. Perhaps we will find that some of the issues, or things, that we thought important are no longer so important. We may wake up to a new attitude, a new reality, a new dream.
This Symbol pictures sudden, new beginnings happening in one’s life. Things can change so quickly that it can be hard to believe at first, but eventually it dawns on you that things are different in the light of a “New Day”. Take heart, realize that the darkness is abating, gradually let go of what went before and embrace the new opportunities that beckon. This can show someone who moves around a lot or goes through several big transformations in their lives or have to weather big changes that often come up. However, there’s a need to guard against being fickle and wanting to move on too readily when one should perhaps stay with a situation and work on it.
Keywords: New perspectives and realizations. Waking up to a whole new consciousness or sense of reality. Emerging from depression. Huge changes that erase things that mattered before. Radical shifts. Major life experiences. Being reborn. Events out of nowhere. Changes of fortune. Revitalized perspectives. Coming out of a sleep.
The Caution: Holding on to the past despite all evidence and reason to move on OR being the first one out the door. Refusing that things are getting better. Unstable behavior. Fickleness.
The Quest Degree for the Moon on the lunar eclipse is Libra 5: A PERSON TEACHING THE TRUE INNER KNOWLEDGE OF THE NEW WORLD TO THEIR STUDENTS - This is a wonderful degree of the transmission of knowledge, especially as it speaks of the 'True Inner Knowledge Of The New World' and is on the Super Galactic Center. Much can be learnt with this degree so powerfully amplified. What are you learning or teaching at this point? Does it resonate with your true center?
This Symbol implies the gaining of wisdom and the passing on of knowledge to others who are receptive to the teachings. It can also show ‘channeling’ of pure instinctual knowledge. Whether you are a “Student” or a “Teacher”, information is available to you and others and there’s much to be learnt. The “True Inner Knowledge” may be conventional teachings or wisdom, although it’s more likely to be more modern concepts that are being passed on as this is about “The New World”. Insight, knowledge, and, experience are present. Conventional certifications of knowledge, such as diplomas, are probably not important; it's what's being brought through that's important.
Keywords: Guidance and protection on the path. Being a guiding light for others. Imparting knowledge. Wisdom. Looking for truth. Seeking answers to complicated questions. Listening and learning. Turning to others to receive guidance. Speaking one's truth. Instinctual knowledge. Pioneers on the path. Teachers and students. Secrets of the new age.
The Caution: Dogmatism. Believing that one has the only answers. Arrogance. Evangelism. The blind leading the blind. Feeling above everybody. Gurus and cult dogma.
The Sun on this lunar eclipse is on Aries 4: TWO LOVERS ARE STROLLING THROUGH A SECLUDED WALK - I have seen this degree to show two lovers, two people, two compatriots, two people sharing their lives AND I've seen it to indicate those who live their lives solo, or alone. Some will be very lonely, some like their aloneness but don't like to venture into actually feeling lonely. Others might be living in a remote place far from the intrusion of others. I have seen this degree showing up when people are overly possessive of each other, also, when being in a relationship feels lonely, even if you spend a lot of time together. Of course, the 'Two Lovers' can be very happy in their relationship and be a beautiful fit for each other. The opposite degree to this is the 'GROUP OF YOUNG PEOPLE IN SPIRITUAL COMMUNION', which can show the need to reach out to others in order to find fellowship outside of a relationship, or, not spending so much time alone.
This Symbol speaks of spending time with a lover or loved ones, or, it can show issues of loneliness; wondering where the 'other' is. Being with someone you love and enjoying their presence without rush or pressure is likely to be important, or perhaps that's what you're needing right now. Perhaps it's about being ok just being with that part of you that you never seem to have much time for. One should be able to escape the realities of the world and touch the deeper feelings of the heart, without fear of being excluded or criticized. Try to find some time for quiet romance and balance.
Keywords: Walking love's path. Secret love affairs. Seeking shelter from others' eyes. Wanting or needing to be undisturbed. The young at heart. Being by one's self and wondering where the 'other' is. Romance. Quiet moments. Seclusion and peace. Intimacy and sharing. Desired destinations. Walking and strolling together. 'Keep Out' signs. Relationships that are solid and satisfying. Issues of seclusion, inclusion or exclusion. Privacy. Being self-sufficient.
The Caution: Being 'selfish'. Keeping one's partner to yourself. Jealousy when others are around. Being afraid to commit to relationship. Feeling left out and uninvited.
The Karmic Degree for the Sun on this lunar eclipse is Aries 3: A CAMEO SHOWS THE PROFILE OF A PERSON THAT SUGGESTS THE OUTLINE OF THEIR COUNTRY - how do you see yourself fitting into the larger scheme of things in your life? What is your profile? How do/would you describe yourself and what you do? Are you living up to your potential? There can be a labelling of people through branding them with where they come from. Refugees of all kinds can be shown by this degree if one doesn't feel as though they fit in with where they are. If people are expected to be something they are not, there can be a feeling of not being accepted - perhaps not 'good enough' or from the right area, country, religion, ideology, knowledge base, etc.
This Symbol shows that there is a need for an objective awareness of how your life fits into the larger picture. How do you, and others, fit into this situation? Does your ‘Profile’ define you in a different way from what you’d like, or are you happy with your image? You may find you have a more important role than you previously thought. Imprint your mark on life by becoming a shining example of your country, tradition, beliefs or culture. However, try not to become too identified with externals or seeking recognition from the people around you.
Keywords: Observing one's limitations. Living a life that is large. Atlases and maps. Standing by one's self. Allegiances with creed, religion, race or country. Nationhood. Brotherhood. The land. People in uniforms of any kind. The face of fighters who fought 'the good fight'. Borders and limitations to activity. Identification. Expatriates.
The Caution: Blindly following the dogma of government or officials. Stereotyping one's self or others by what one has achieved or how much people earn, own or owe.
The Quest Degree for the Sun is Aries 5: A WHITE TRIANGLE IS SEEN; IT HAS GOLDEN WINGS - this Symbol can imply rising above issues - letting things drop and seeing the good and the useful in your life and in the world around you. A spiritual awakening of some sort can happen with this degree. It can speak about transcending difficulties through having the trust that all will work out in some way or another.
This Symbol shows the ability to be able to lift yourself above the ordinary, using your natural gifts to find a new perspective, an uplifted view; to expand your awareness. This can picture an eagerness for spiritual integration or a capacity to escape from reality. Try to ground the vision, while allowing yourself the free flight of vision. This Symbol often brings a strong spiritual nature that expresses itself through purity of thought and insight.
Keywords: Inspiration and zeal. Feeling elevated and inspired through spiritual or creative agencies. Flying to a greater perspective. Taking off. Purity of thought and expression. Angelic forms. Creative imagination. Self-transcendence. Finding new dimensions of experience. Illusions of sight. Visions. Untethered imaginations. Ascension. Ascended beings. Moths. Butterflies. Flying Machines.
The Caution: Not noticing your down-to-earth needs or those around you. Escapism. Forgetting about the needs and desires of the body. Losing the plot.
The Sun symbolizes: One’s core center, spirit, heart, issues to do with father, men, self, ego, your male side. How you radiate your sense of being. What others see, how you are recognized or remembered, sense of identity and connection with male energy - yours and others.
Mercury is conjunct the Sun on Aries 3: A CAMEO SHOWS THE PROFILE OF A PERSON THAT SUGGESTS THE OUTLINE OF THEIR COUNTRY - with both the Sun and Mercury conjunct on it, this Symbol is getting a kind of double-whammy in terms of energy.
Mercury symbolizes: Mind, thought, communication, memory, expression, intelligence. News, exchanges, chatting, conversations, short journeys, connections with others, telephones, emails, siblings, neighbors, the reasoning mind. Day-to-day activities. Cars, keys, small animals.
Venus is on Pisces 14: A LADY WRAPPED IN FOX FUR - this Symbol can bring up issues to do with femininity and the rights of women. It can also bring up stereotypical responses around issues of women's sexuality. Perhaps some identities on the world stage will get called out for some reason. It is a beautiful degree and one that holds a wonderful mystery to it, but when used to disparage, it can lead to slinging off at a woman or women.
This shows being able to present an image that shows intelligence, cleverness, glamour and beauty, along with knowing how to move in social circles. The “Lady Wrapped in Fox Fur” is someone who’s sure of themselves, able to bend to situations and have situations bend to their own desires. It often shows getting out of, or into, anything they want. You can present an image that enhances your position in society. Intelligence and wit will probably see you through, with others noticing your beauty, grace or intellect. If, however, the guise was stripped away, would you still express the same qualities? You may have to display your capabilities because of negative prejudice, chauvinism, or being underestimated.
Keywords: Outer expressions of real inner worth. Animal magnetism and attraction. Intelligence and its display. Cloaks of feminine wit and sexuality. Beguiling minds. Animal totems and furs. Perceived beauty. The sense of having class and money. Beauty, fashion and talent. Being forward and upfront. Sense of personal style. Grace and composure. Elegance. Knowing what to say and when. Dressing up. Money spent on beauty. Tempting others with sexual signals. Perfumes. Pheromones. Taxidermy.
The Caution: False fronts and expressions of wealth. Selling out. Scoring points through charisma. Doing anything to win social position, money or fame. Under or over dressing.
The Karmic Degree for Venus is Pisces 13: A SWORD, USED IN MANY BATTLES, IS NOW IN A MUSEUM - it would be great if the battle of the sexes would calm down and people could see each other for their true beauty or merit. It seems that Venus would like to see the sword laid down, but, as life has it, sometimes we find ourselves picking up the sword again to go into another battle. It's often a matter of asking one's self 'is the hill you are prepared to die on?' Dropping the fight may be the answer, or, to at least, pick your battles.
This shows knowing when to stop battling in life, when to lay down one’s “Sword” and take up a higher position that reflects a more intelligent or spiritual way of being in the world. Sometimes, when reminded of the battles of the past, we are influenced towards actions that ensure peace. We are uplifted by the symbolic memory of past deeds of valor, although stings of defeat may be part of the story. You may be faced with the choice of fighting or reasoning which is confused by your lack of training or experience in the ways of “Battle”. Don’t go down with the ship. It helps to lay down one's 'sword' - not in order to surrender, but to stop the 'warring'
Keywords: Willpower. Martial arts. Putting aside thoughts of vengeance and revenge. Hanging up or laying down one's 'Sword'. Trophies of conquest that remind us of the past. History. Aging and maturing. Retirement. Remnants of battles. Souvenirs of the past. "Words as swords". The Spear of Destiny. The Sword Excalibur. Disarming weapons. The search for truth and justice. Suits of armor. Peace at last. Sexual impotence.
The Caution: Lack of sensitivity. Pretense of one's abilities. Falling on one's sword from defeat. Sexual impotence. Domestic violence. Giving up. Grudges. Wanting to go into “Battle”.
The Quest Degree for Venus is Pisces 15: AN OFFICER DRILLING HIS MEN IN A SIMULATED ATTACK - this Symbol is very much about 'what if the sky is falling?' - we tend to go over and over things that might happen, even if they are rather unlikely. Going over conversations in one's mind can be shown by this degree, a real 'rehearsing' of thoughts, ideas, strategies, plans, responses.
This shows being well rehearsed, prepared and ready for anything that life throws at you. When you’re well rehearsed, you are able to spring to attention when situations warrant it. You may feel that you need to rehearse or prepare for difficult situations. There is wisdom in practicing to reduce the chance of error or failure. However, are you going over and over possible positive or negative outcomes thereby losing the joy that can be found in relaxing and letting down your guard? Sometimes the things we think are going to happen don’t happen at all. Choosing where, when and how to be ready and willing to go for objectives is half the battle.
Keywords: Taking orders to better respond to situations. The higher self training the lower self. Exercises. Marching and going through the motions. The need for defense. Seeing ahead. Planning strategies. Fire drills. Smoke alarms. Being prepared. Issuing orders and expecting them to be followed through. Discipline. Martial arts of all kinds. Going over and over possible outcomes. Safeguards put in place. Gas masks and bomb shelters.
The Caution: Rigid routine for no real purpose. Overreactions. Seeing threats or attack everywhere. Going over things too much. Not knowing what to do or how to act. Drills.
Venus symbolizes: Relatedness, cooperation, what attracts you. The experience of sweetness, beauty or delight. Social interactions, love, friends, how you reach out to people. Feminine persona, relationship with mother and females. Money, possessions, sense of values.
Mars is on Sagittarius 6: A GAME OF CRICKET - with Mars on this degree, there can be upset, anger or heightened feelings because of the way the 'Game' is being played. Perhaps rules are being broken or a sense of manners and etiquette are entirely missing from what's unfolding.
This Symbol shows playing the game of life by the rules. Like the “Game of Cricket”, there are rules and guidelines to go by that need to be respected and observed. It is not so much the game that is important, but how it is played. Cricket is very much a ‘gentleman’s game’ and it is usually played by people who come together from all around in order to side with those they choose to play the game with. You will find that integrity is vital and your honesty will give you rewards, even if there is some initial sacrifice. Careful team work is needed to stop things getting through the gaps; everyone must, to some extent, keep on their toes.
Keywords: Playing by the rules. Stiff upper lip responses. Seeing through the illusions of what constitutes "polite society". Having a role to play in the game of life. Sportsmanship. Being the "batsman" or the "bowler". Running and playing. Fair play. Impeccable behavior. Moving at will around the field. Scoring runs. People in the outfield. Holding the bat. Winning the toss. Opposing teams. Games that go on for day after day. Patience. Summer games. Going by the umpire's decision. Everyone having a go.
The Caution: Difficulty showing one's true feelings and emotions. Being caught out. Situations that are boring and long winded. Silly rules that don’t make sense. Prudish.
The Karmic Degree for Mars is Sagittarius 5: AN OLD OWL PERCHED HIGH UP IN A TREE - Mars here can have us feeling worked up about issues but not wanting to say much. We may feel that we have to integrate what's happening rather than avoiding them. However, anger can come up from feeling as though one doesn't have a voice. It is Mars on this Symbol, after all.
This Symbol implies being able to quietly observe what’s going on around you. Owls can turn their heads right around and very little escapes their attention. They’re not easily detected in the trees as they usually only come out at night. They wait, watch and listen before making their move. The wise “Owl” sees all, seeing what others miss, and keeps very quiet whilst digesting all that's going on. There may be a need to consult with aged wisdom, either within yourself or from without. Emulating this behavior can bring feelings of solitude, but this may be what's needed. This can indicate insomnia caused by thinking or doing too much at bedtime.
Keywords: Wisdom and strength. Evening contemplation. Keeping thoughts to oneself. A wise "sage" type of person. Nocturnal vision. Exalted wisdom. "Night owls". Heightened sight and seeing. Being silent and alert for the slightest movement. The ability to see all around. The spirit of birds. Silent flight. Having acute hearing. Lofty ideals.
The Caution: Smug denial of available wisdom. Not saying anything even when it's needed. Acting like one knows it all. Acting old before one’s time. Waiting for prey.
The Quest Degree for Mars is Sagittarius 7: CUPID KNOCKING AT THE DOOR OF A HUMAN HEART
This degree shows the spreading of love and showing how people can love one another. “Cupid” is “Knocking”, asking to be let in. Barriers and defenses around people’s hearts may be keeping him from getting in, but how long will they be able to resist? Opening your heart and opening the door will lead to new opportunities and realizations about relationships. What are the true depths of your relationships? Soften your boundaries, unlock your heart and allow your heart chakra to open when you are in caring company. Know when to open “The Door’ to allow love in.
Keywords: Respectful invitation of love. Seeing purity of motive. Fear of commitment. Fear of romance. A key or an arrow. Cupids and cherubs. Unlocking the heart. One-pointed, focused energy, which can become obsessive. Softening one's boundaries. Cupid's bow. The need to lighten up one's approach to others.
The Caution: Waiting, not taking the initiative. Rejecting emotion. Fearing losing independence. Barriers and defenses. Seeing potential lovers in everyone. Crashing other people’s space.
Mars symbolizes: Drive, determination or agenda, how you get to your goals. How you express and handle anger, ambition, assertion of self and ability to step forward. The male principle, sexuality, the ability to step up to the plate when one needs to. Fight or flight.
Jupiter is on Virgo 17: A VOLCANIC ERUPTION BRINGING DUST CLOUDS, FLOWING LAVA, EARTH RUMBLINGS
This Situation implies situations, attitudes or emotions that slowly gather steam, build up and suddenly explode. It pictures situations of catharsis. There may be, at times, an effort to hold things inside, but after a while there can be no more resistance and everything gets forced out. This can be in the form of anger, or passion, but it can also be the explosion of insight and creative ideas. It often works far better to just let things blow, as resisting the urge to let go can cause enormous pressure to build up. Look to see if the force of emotions is really related to current situations.
Keywords: Thoughts or ideas pouring out. Torrents of thought or emotion. Anger that needs expression. Eruptions that are quickly overcome. Pressure cooker environments. After shocks. Waiting for the dust to settle. Cathartic release. Volcanoes. Earthquakes. Earth tremors. Rumblings. Earth changes. Dust
The Caution: Over-suppression of energy to the point of explosive disaster. Tantrums. Choking the air with sulfurous dust clouds. Overreactions..
The Karmic Degree for Jupiter is Virgo 16: DELIGHTED CHILDREN CROWD AROUND THE ORANGUTAN CAGE IN A ZOO
This Symbol shows the fun and delight that can come from observing and being a part of nature. There often needs to be a primitive, yet childlike response to situations. Facing the baser instincts of oneself and others brings a fresh, new approach to life. Building cages and fences keeps others from being able to relate in a carefree way. Separations can come from seeing others as being different or apart. Seeing the common factors that unite us can be very informative about our own emotions, as well as our shortcomings. Also, you may feel like some are from a different species, a different planet or live in a zoo.
Keywords: Karmic confrontations between the creatively integrated and the unevolved. Objects of derision, fascination or worship. Showing off or acting to get a reaction from others. Trying to relate to others that don't understand. Feeling like one is in a zoo. Observing others. Curiosity. Crowding around. Everyone wanting to have a look. Going by instincts. Television shows such as Jerry Springer. News networks. The media. Lack of social inhibition.
The Caution: Egoistic feelings of being better or in a higher state of evolution. Making fun of others. Lack of privacy. Fences and barriers.
Jupiter symbolizes: The big picture, expansion, exploration, aspirations, religious and philosophical ideals, issues to do with traveling, foreign lands, people and traditions, culture, education, generosity, luck, abundance, support, optimism. Insight through knowledge and wisdom.
Saturn is on Sagittarius 17: AN EASTER SUNRISE SERVICE DRAWS A LARGE CROWD
This degree shows the ability, and the necessity, of being able to rise up after difficulties in one’s life, somewhat like the Phoenix rising from the ashes. One needs to maintain hope and draw together with others who share a sense of faith in the future and in community and the goodness of life. There will be times of spiritual rebirth where you can rise above the failings of the past into new beginnings. Coming out of doubt and despair can lead to a new sense of love, faith and compassion. Join with others in a spirit of joy. There's a need for unwavering faith in communal spiritual values.
Keywords: Performing deeds with reverence, respect and a sense of celebration. Cohesive communal expressions of faith. The dawning of a new era. Church services. Dawn services. The community gathering for a common purpose. Resurrections and rebirths. Revivals. The need for faith in a bright future. Devotion. Worship.
The Caution: Obsession with the ceremony rather than the purpose or ideal. Feeling unable to lift one's spirits. Disillusionment and loss of vision. Holidays with no meaning.
Saturn symbolizes: Authority, rules, discipline and obligation The heavy stuff. What we fear, loss, karma, aging, the establishment, orthodoxy, tradition, status, the concept of time, walls, boundaries, limits, older people, restrictions, patience, conquering difficulties.
Uranus is on Aries 20: A YOUNG PERSON FEEDING BIRDS IN WINTER
This Symbol shows the ability to help those in need of help, to provide safety, security, nourishment or emotional support, especially to those who may not know how to solve their problems themselves. There are those that stubbornly resist moving on or changing their habits, even if it is to their detriment, and providing them with a safe harbor can bring many rewards. This is about sharing and caring. Nonjudgmental attitudes can move you to help them and lead them to trust. A dedication to helping others has its own rewards.
Keywords: Nurturing innocence. Feeding energy to situations that feel cold, hopeless and lost. Small efforts bringing their rewards. Co-dependent relationships. Nurturing. Helping those less fortunate or smaller. Taking time out for others. Doing things without thought of reward. Enjoying nature. Trying to find friends or company. Bread and water. Soup kitchens. Counselling. Hot vs. cold weather.
The Caution: Trying to win approval. Creating a reliance that has to be maintained. Feeling bleak, lost and alone. Relying on codependent relationships. Lack of boundaries.
.
The Quest Degree for Uranus is Aries 21: A BOXER IS ENTERING THE RING - where and what ring are you going to enter into to take life on more and more? This is an interesting degree to have Uranus on during the lead up to the presidential elections in the US. Who will be the main contender? Is that person a heavy weight or merely a punch-drunk person?
This Symbol shows that there may be a temptation to take on issues, even to fight, but it needs to be with dignity and regulation. You may feel a need, or the urge, to step up to the plate and take something or someone on. There are rules to follow and often others will be end up being the judge of the final outcome. Make sure you possess the skills and training to defend what you believe. Remember that sometimes you need to back off if you're not winning a contest. Question: is someone on the attack or the defense?
Keywords: Physical or psychological self - assertion and determination. Attack or defense? Fighting for emotional, psychological or physical space. Being seen as a person of strength. Throwing punches. Fighting on any level. Being prepared to take a swing at someone or something. Stepping up to the plate. Throwing down the gauntlet. Going after the title. Big vs. small egos.

Neptune is on Pisces 11: PEOPLE TRAVELING A NARROW PATH, SEEKING ILLUMINATION
This shows having a quest, “Seeking Illumination”, having a “Path” and staying on it regardless of what life throws at you. Sometimes the search for high ideals and understanding places us at odds with the more conservative social expectations of others. It is the ability to persevere with the search, regardless of the cost, that marks the sincerity of any path or journey. You may, at times, have to go without some comforts or stick to a rigorous agenda. Most times this quest is very illuminating, sometimes it's confusing. You will need to reject that which is unworthy, while staying true to your objectives in order to stay focused on the goal.
Keywords: People "on the Path". Sticking to one mindset, diet, regimen or habit. Having a cause to follow. Not looking sideways. Awakening one's base senses in order to progress. Physical ecstasy. The Quest Degree for Neptune is Pisces 12: AN EXAMINATION OF INITIATES IN THE SANCTUARY OF AN OCCULT BROTHERHOOD
This Symbol shows passing the tests that life, other people, spirituality or karma throws at you. You are likely to find at times that you are being judged by those above or around you. It is difficult to see what their qualifications to judge you are, but this is often the nature of progression through the ranks. People being critical of one another can lead to better behavior, better performances or the like, or it can lead to feeling judged, violated and intruded upon. It can seem as though our lives are like lessons; we are periodically “Examined” to see how we are doing on our course. Be careful not to shut yourself away to avoid being seen or having to endure criticism.

Pluto is on Capricorn 18: THE UNION JACK FLIES FROM A NEW BRITISH WARSHIP - hopefully, this won't ramp up the propensity for war. This is a degree that can talk about 'wall's, empires, rules and regulations, warships and ammunition. And, Pluto is on it.
This Symbol talks about supervision, border protection and control. There can be a feeling of having to oversee a large ‘empire’ where reliability and leadership are vital. This can be a tiring responsibility, but there can be an awareness of the protection of 'all who went before'. However, political and social restraints from the past could be causing you to feel that you’ve somehow got to ‘wage war’. Issues to do with the government can come up, whether you agree with what they do or not. You may be confronted with having to make your presence felt and guard your territory. Chiron is on Pisces 22: A PROPHET BRINGING DOWN THE NEW LAW FROM THE MOUNTAIN - Chiron is conjunct (together with) the Moon's south node. It seems that the message is that we must decide to drop some of the 'laws' or 'commandments' that we've been living by that may be outworn or outgrown or just plain useless. These 'old rules' can hold us back from being more authentically who we are meant to be. This is a momentous time - Chiron conjuncting the south node only comes about every generation or so. We would do well to make good use of it. We are seeing too many laws being enacted - laws that rob us of our freedoms, laws that restrict and punish. Time for a new set of laws... time to let go of any dogma that holds you back.
This shows being able to live life by a set of “New Laws”, or, to make a new set of laws that better suits your life and place in the scheme of things. This pictures revelations of spirit and truth. It is important to manifest these truths and laws and to integrate them into your everyday life. Codifying the ways of humankind can help us understand the limitations of our earthly existence. Although our basic principles may stay the same, the specifics will vary in order to accommodate the changing perceptions. You may find new laws to live by, or, you could be the one to bring these ‘rules’ to others.

There are things to stand up for and represent, regardless of where you come from and who your ancestors and your family are.
