Highlighted Aspects This Week MON: Venus sextile Saturn WED: Venus sextile Uranus THU: Venus quincunx Jupiter, Sun conjunct Ceres FRI: Mercury square Mars SAT: Mercury enters Pisces, Mars enters Sagittarius, Sun square Saturn SUN: Jupiter quincunx Uranus, Mercury semisquare Pluto, Sun sextile Pluto
ACCORDING
to the list of highlighted aspects, we should be sailing on calmer seas
this week -- however, with the Solar Eclipse on the horizon (on March
8-9), we're already working with some of those powerful energies and
feeling the stirrings of new possibilities.
We can perhaps work
best with the themes of this week by looking at what we are willing to
let go of in preparation for the new experiences we are ready to allow
into our lives. We want to be aware of where we are feeling out of sync,
and do some release work on those areas of discomfort. Even if we
cannot clearly see what we are preparing for, this clearing process is
an important part of leaving behind the dissatisfaction that we do not
want to carry forward into the new eclipse cycle.
VENUS is
the primary player on Monday and Tuesday, forming helpful aspects with
Saturn and Uranus and easing our way into the new week. Our main trouble
spots on these first two days of the week will be short-lived lunar
aspects:
On Monday, the Moon aligns with Mars in Scorpio at
11:55am PST (7:55pm GMT) to bring powerful emotions to the surface to be
acknowledged and released. Luna then aligns with Saturn in Sagittarius
at 11:15pm PST on Tuesday (7:15am GMT on Wednesday), indicating a somber
perspective. We may feel disappointment if our ideals are not supported
by reality, but what we learn with this aspect will help us be more
realistic about what is possible going forward.
WE FEEL
more protective and compassionate toward ourselves and others on
Thursday, due to a Sun-Ceres alignment in Pisces. This is our
opportunity to offer support to loved ones from a place of compassion.
But, we will need to be careful not to drift into self-sacrifice and
martyrdom, keeping our focus on each person's innate ability to care for
themselves, and knowing when to step back and trust that they will be
guided through their problems.
Things start heating up a bit on
Friday, when Mercury squares Mars. People are stubbornly attached to
their opinions and less willing to let go of the need to be "right." The
Sun follows suit with a square to Saturn on Saturday, when we are again
challenged to know when to stand strong and when to let go of the need
to be in control.
SUNDAY provides
the energy for some important final adjustments before the Solar
Eclipse: Jupiter is quincunx Uranus, which means we'll be feeling
uncomfortable if we don't take the time to think before we act. The urge
for change is heightened, but we want to continue to use discrimination
(Jupiter in Virgo) and assess possible outcomes before leaping off the
bridge (Uranus in Aries).
If we slow it down, stay objective, and
pay attention to where we tend to be reactive rather than thoughtful,
we will be well-prepared to take advantage of the incoming wave of
energy next week.
In peace,
Pam
