THANK YOU! to everyone who attended my teleclass last week! As we walked together through the energies we'll be working with for the rest of 2017, it became very clear that the planets are assisting us in taking some major evolutionary steps at this time. I hope you found -- and continue to find -- the information helpful as you move into the months ahead.

It's not too late! If you missed the class but would still like to partake, the replay and slideshow are available for purchase. Just send an email to pam@northpointastrology.com with "Teleclass Replay" in the subject line, and I'll reply with details.

AS MY PUPPY AND I took our morning walk in the nearby state park one day last week, we saw in quick succession some amazing animals -- first, a barred owl who we talked with for a few minutes. Then, a very large raven who was scavenging on the trail ahead of us, and then, just a few minutes later, a young deer who headed briefly in our direction.

We take this walk every morning and often see various wild animals, but it was quite magical to see three powerful totems in such a short amount of time. I share them with you as signs of the Wisdom, Magic, and Gentleness that we each have access to in these times of great change.

WELCOME TO JULY! We get started -- or, rather, keep going -- with a lot of mental energy being activated. Mercury, the Messenger Planet, squares high-energy Uranus on Tuesday, the same day that Venus enters talkative Gemini. Mercury is once again in the headlines on Wednesday, the day that it enters fiery Leo, and then grabs our attention again on Friday.

In other words, we can expect an overload of information, lots of rhetoric, unexpected news, and more ideological disagreements. Add to this the irritating Jupiter-Neptune quincunx that's exact on Tuesday, and we can anticipate continued confusion over who to believe when two parties are both expounding conflicting statements as being "the truth." It is extremely bewildering to have two forceful voices say very contradictory things, even if we naturally have a tendency to believe one of the voices over another.

THE GOOD NEWS is that this is the last pass of this perplexing Jupiter-Neptune quincunx. This influence started working with us last October, was strong again in May, and completes this week. Perhaps going forward from here, we'll gradually be able to think more clearly, discern more precisely, and move beyond this state of disillusionment.

For this week, however, we will be stepping one more time into the quagmire on Tuesday and Wednesday. After that, we can start to dry off and clean up and clear the watery film that has been clouding our vision.

THE FULL MOON occurs in Capricorn on either Saturday night or early Sunday morning, depending on your time zone (9:06am PDT on Saturday, 4:06am GMT on Sunday). This is something of a "hold onto your hats" kind of Full Moon, given that the Moon is closely aligned with Pluto in Capricorn, the Sun is aligned with Mars in Cancer, and everybody on the list is square Jupiter in Libra and also square Eris and Uranus in Aries.

This configuration indicates that we are at a crossroads. Big changes are underway, hidden agendas are coming to light, and as a result, emotions and defensiveness are very high. People who are already aggressive and headstrong may be even more impulsive and unfiltered than usual. Even for those who generally have a fairly reasonable and balanced perspective, it will be helpful to use good judgment and to take time before taking action.

THE MOON is within a degree of the fixed star Rukbat at the time of the lunation. According to astrologer Roderick Kidston, the keys to success with Rukbat are "strength of mind, width and depth of the powers of perception, and the ability to communicate all this." So it won't be the person with the most toys who wins the game, but the one who has the greatest integrity and vision and can convey their thoughts with clarity.

Kidston gives a caution, however:

"The main risk with this star lies in not getting carried away with enthusiasm, to the point where you might overwhelm whomever you are trying to persuade. It is not a good idea to become too insistent that you alone are right, either. Righteousness may be an issue. It is all very well to 'speak your truth,' but this sometimes collides with other people who are speaking their truth, too, and it can become a challenge for the wisdom of Solomon to figure out where 'the' truth lies if it lies anywhere."

He continues with this advice:

"Use the brimming energy of Rukbat to live big and strong, with heart. When you are centred in that kind of integrity, you can make all kinds of dreams come true."

ONE MORE NOTE about the Full Moon -- the Sabian symbol tells us a bit more about how the potent energies of this lunation may play out:

"The Union Jack flag flies from a British warship: The protection afforded to individuals and groups by powerful institutions in charge of maintaining order."

Dane Rudhyar's interpretation of this symbol tells us:

"Power is required to maintain social order and relatively peaceful interpersonal as well as international relationships. Alas, this power can easily be misused under the pretext of preserving 'law and order.' Justice and compassion must balance social power, and especially the power of privileged groups. This symbol can represent the need for protection -- or it may be a warning against using power for selfish advantage."

In case we needed it, these words give yet another reason for each of us to remain in strong integrity throughout this time, integrity being defined by the dictionary as "the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles; moral uprightness."

Sounds like it's time for us to start "choosing a star" to hitch our wagons to.

THE SAME ENERGY that fuels the challenges in the Full Moon chart also provides a road through the debris field: Uranus and Eris in Aries form a grand fire trine with Saturn in Sagittarius and Vesta and the North Node in Leo.

This planetary arrangement provides creative, inspirational, and visionary qualities for us to tap into. It offers increased faith, a willingness to take risks, and the confidence and courage needed to successfully deal with any challenges that arise.

IF YOUR BIRTHDAY IS THIS WEEK: This is a very transformative year for you! You are both challenged and encouraged to reach for new levels of empowerment and courage in all your endeavors. You may be driven by the need to break free from certain restrictions or to oppose those who would attempt to control you. It will be important to channel the great emotional power of this year into making positive changes, both internally and externally. At the same time, be sure to allow others to support you -- you don't need to face your challenges by yourself. Some of the qualities you are developing are a better ability to sense who to trust, the strength to allow yourself to be vulnerable, and the courage to accept assistance from those trusted ones.

In peace,

Pam
